The place doesn't look very big from the outside & it's not what you'd expect when you go in either. It's very clean and the menu is vast, way more than hot dogs. I was surprised at their menu selections and the prices weren't bad either. The service was great with a smile, and the food came out soon after we ordered. I'll have to come back to try other menu options. There's plenty of parking on a dirt parking lot small but sufficient. I believe they're open by 10am & closed by 4pm, but look it up before heading out to Bisbee AZ. read more

What can be said that hasn't already been said. We road down here on the hottest day of the year thus far. Don't ask me what possessed us but we did. When you walk in there isn't much to look at but some cool pictures on the walls and some Chicago Blackhawks stuff, which I liked since I'm a Blackhawks fan. We went to the order desk and I got the chili cheese dog which is made with a Vienna dog. The chili had great flavor and the dog had fantastic snap. I got mine with a water since it was so hot outside. Overall I'd say this is one of the best dogs I've had outside of Chicago and I'll definitely be back, just on a cooler day. We stopped in to try the chili dog I ordered the chili dog with onions and cheese and one Chicago tamale . The chilli dog was small but I enjoyed the dog and the chili had a nice flavor. This was the first Chicago tamale, I did enjoy the flavor. They are small so next time I'll order a few more The employee who took our order was nice and she did let me know that the tamales were Chicago style. I had lunch with two friends on Thursday. German style bratwurst with potato salad. Apparently they have changed the recipe for the potato salad as it was NOT very tasty today. The potatoes were strange (pellet shape) and the flavor was off. I probably should have said something but we were in a hurry today but I won't order that again. Disappointing - cold hot dog cold fries and they claim we picked it up to late. we picked it up 10 minutes after placing order and had to wait for them to get it together. No fries with the hot dog. manager argued with me that it doesn't come with fries, but the picture showed with fries and there were no options below the hot dog to order fries which I tried to explain. Giving compliments to businesses that reside in remote locations is always a focus. Been coming here for 3 years. South of Bisbee just 3 miles north of the border of Mexico (literally on the road that takes you to the border), this place serves up some great American highway burgers, hotdogs, and fried goods with sweeping views into Mexico. I am giving 3 stars only because the shrimp were large, meaty, and very good. However, a couple of days ago, I ordered the shrimp basket as a carry-out order becauseIthoughtshrimp and fries sounded pretty good. I used the online ordering system to order the food (see picture), and I was given a wait time of 15-20 minutes. I live 1/2 mile away, so I waited a full 15 minutes before leaving. Upon arrival, the 3 women working there seemed surprised to see me. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my food (I was the only customer in sight, so they weren't busy at all). Once I got home, I discovered that only the shrimp were in the bag. When I called the restaurant, I was told that fries were $2 more and that I had to ask for them. WHAT!!?? I told her about the menu and was told that "We know but there's nothing we can do about it. Only the owner can. We've told him about other people complaining, but he still hasn't fixed it." So, if you don't mind false advertising, you'll enjoy this place! read more

My wife and I have eaten here for years and bring our family when they are in the area. The only meat she can eat is fish and shrimp and we always have loved it here. However after the new owners took over the prices have become outrageous! Recently we ordered our usual Sea Basket and Shrimp Basket with one soda which used to be around $22 and the bill came to $32.88! I mentioned to the lady behind the counter that the baskets are only $10 each so why so much? I was told that the slaw and fries are added on as separate orders at $2 each! Nowhere on the menu does it say that in fact the menu states that the baskets come with fries and slaw. OUCH! Now I have eaten at many many many restaurants in my 65 years on this planet but I have always gotten fries and/or slaw with a "Basket". However now you have to pay extra for them. I guess because they serve the shrimp "in a basket" that counts? Besides, the "slaw" wasn't very good. Too much sesame oil or something in it that tasted off. Sorry, Jimmy's. Taking a long historical architectural journey through Bisbee landed us at Jimmy's. We are suckers for old historical buildings / neighborhoods & dive joints. I would leave 5 stars, but details below. The Good - Food was ample, delicious & economical. The fried cod was the best we have found in Southern AZ. The shrimp was large & both cooked perfectly. The cod piece was 11" long. I grew up in a California River town 1.5hrs from San Francisco. I'm picky about my seafood. The better half grew up in an Italian district back east. When we saw they had an Italian beef & sausage with giardinera (pickled veggies), that was our second choice. We ordered it with the au jus on the side.. fries & coleslaw. The sandwich was far larger than we expected. Low carbers, keto carnivore can definitely find options here. Everything tasted as we had hoped.....for the most part. To be honest, their menu is quite extensive with so many things to try, we will definitely hit them up again. I saw a couple of orders of jumbo foot long hot dogs come up & they looked awesome. Our bill was around $26 & that included a large ice tea. They did not have fresh lemon for the tea or seafood & the seafood cocktail sauce was hard & cold....which leads to.. The removal of one star - additionally, fries & most hot foods can't be wrapped in parchment paper without the food steaming itself. The fries tasted good, but were soggy within 3 minutes of unwrapping in the truck. No one wants soggy fried foods. There are better to go options to keep food crisp. Even our sandwich bun was already wet within a couple minutes. Why did we eat in the truck? Because for some reason, it's OK for 15 people to stand around inside the very small strip eatery waiting 10 minutes for their food, yet it's not ok to eat inside. Arbitrary theater. Our other choice was to sit outside in the wind. No thanks. Soon that sun is going to be full force & their outside seating area is limited with no shade. As we were leaving, an older guy with no mask was walking in. His name is Max Cook. He works in a govt position of sanitation, safety. We got in a convo & he agreed. It's arbitrary. Open the door, allow air flow & let people sit & eat their hot & fresh food. We would have been irritated to have ordered all that wonderful food to take home & have it soggy. We would have been delighted to sit inside like humans. All that being said..adorable & worth the money. Just go back to normal & let people enjoy your food the way it's meant to be eaten. read more

Drove by, saw the giant dog & said Hell Yea !!! We was not sure what to expect, and it turned out to be a great Roadtrip stop. Inside was clean, organized & loved the decor. Old posters & signs from Chicago and Hotdog History. Went with the Chicago Style and fries (2), no drinks & came out to $10 & change. Dogs came dressed to impressed, on a nice hoagie style bun. Pickles & peppers and Curly Fries wrapped together in wax paper, loved it. We ate outside and table had ketchup (for the fries only) not if going Chicago Style- , and napkins. The dog was tasty & fries were great- filled us up and definitely went on the list of must stops when going to Bisbee. Even my Mom-in-Law was impressed, she said the restrooms were very clean which is a huge compliment from her. My only complaint was they did not have any T-Shirts for sale, as I would rock one. Really good. Tried a bunch of different things. I got italian beef with giardiniera. Excellent sandwich. Coleslaw on the side, which was great also. Kids got burgers, which were about the same as you'd get anywhere. My husband got a BLT, it was served on a sub roll which we thought was a good way to serve. Any food that ends in basket most Americans think fries come with that basket. Not here at Jimmy's lately. I ordered a shrimp basket for $10 and just got some very good breaded shrimp. They asked if I would like sides with that and I remembered I usually get cole slaw, too. I get home and no fries. I call them up and they no longer include fries and I had a choice of sides to add but that was not verbalized. Had they said fries, cole slaw, or potato salad I would have known fries were no longer included. So don't call something a basket when you don't include fries. This is a really cool little place. I def recommend you check it out when you are in Bisbee. It is an old Chicago hot dog shop and you will still see the owner wandering around on certain days. What a gem! My boyfriend and I have often lamented that the food in Bisbee is good/average but not great. Jimmy's was truly impressive! It is by far the best place to eat in town with some seriously great food. We ordered several things and ate most of it later, but the food was delicious even as leftovers. I had a chili cheese dog and my boyfriend had a Chicago dog while at the restaurant. The hot dog had a nice snap and the bread was sturdy so it didn't fall apart while we were eating our very generously topped dogs. The standout for us though was the Italian grinder. This is easily the best one we've had in Arizona so far. The bread was sturdy, there was the perfect amount of dressing (not too dry, not soaking wet) and they don't skimp on the meat and cheese, which were both high-quality. The flavor of the meats, the creaminess of the cheese and the saltiness of the dressing combine to a divine experience. We also loved the meatball sandwich. It had the same qualities as the grinder -- it held up well and there was a generous amount of meatballs. Split in half, my boyfriend and I got about three meatballs each in our respective pieces. The sauce was well-balanced and the cheese was flavorful and nicely melted. Oh, and the fries were fresh and well-seasoned. I thought for a moment that we should've tried different sides with our order instead of getting all fries, but when the fries came it removed all doubt. We can't wait to eat here again! read more

Love Jimmy's for the food and usually the service. Unfortunately at least some of the staff don't feel they need to wear masks. I placed a to go order online and when I went in it wasn't ready. The young woman then proceeded to fill my order while not wearing a mask. I asked her what was up with that, she copped an attitude and then said I could leave. I said no I paid for that and had someone redo the order that was wearing a mask (I suspect the policy at Jimmy's is wear masks). I live in a household with an elderly person that has an autoimmune disease, and I'm very conscious of not placing her life at risk. Come on people! Believe it or not we have to do this. I'm so glad we stopped here for lunch while taking a little roadtrip to Bisbee!!! We are from Chicago, but I've lived in the Valley for 12 years now so I get super excited to find good Chicago food!
