I had a vision in my mind and the owner, Patricia admitted she hadn't done anything like it before but as an artist/florist she'd be willing to get it done for me. I made a rough sketch and she made a beautiful final product for us. The flowers were all pristine and just gorgeous, super fresh and well put together. I've used online companies for previous orders and I have never been satisfied with what my family would receive; not to mention their high prices. The price (I asked for additional flower to make the bouquet amazing) is unbeatable. The customer service is unmatchable. And the outcome is WOW!!! Note: Transactions were made remotely as I am in a different state. First off, the owners are amazing and catered to my last minute order despite the season. The sympathy flowers were needed for the next day to make it in time for the funeral and the owners made it possible and delivered beautiful flowers on a timely basis. I seriously have no complains on this. Prices are utterly reasonable for what was delivered too. However, minus one star as I am so used to be able to conduct such purchases online. I only wish that everything could have been taken care online instead of needing to call and conveying my order in my heavily accented English. Owners did what they could but a website/order form would be much much appreciated. ETA: Changed my star review and please ignore the minus one star thing. They do have a website but I was a doofus and the shop was really nice about it. Please use this florist as the experience has been nothing but amazing and really value for money. read more

I had the WORST experience with this shop. Patricia was very rude over the phone. My MIL had called awhile ago and talked about getting cut flowers for my upcoming wedding. She was told that I needed to go in 2 weeks before my wedding to look around and get an idea of what I would want for flowers and order them. Mind you my MIL always takes notes and wrote down when I needed to go in, so if that wasn't the case then she shouldn't of told her that. Patricia preceded to tell me that she's not a warehouse and I needed to do online research. I'm sure there are books of examples of their work or something in the shop to look at. I was looking for simple and she was no help at all and acted like she didn't want to help. She then was questioning my MIL's skill level of putting flowers together which was also rude, we just wanted cut flowers so she didn't have to worry about that. She only wanted to deal with my MIL who lives out of state by the way and that's why I needed to go in. I was just calling to get information and if I needed to make an appointment....but we didn't even get that far. I was going off what someone told me to do and Patricia had NO right to be that rude. Patricia really needs to work on her customer service skills because they are terrible. I would definitely NOT recommend Jim's florist. Brides do yourself a favor, if you want a stress free floral experience go elsewhere! read more

Really one of the best florists in the area. I stopped here to get a corsage for a daddy/daughter dance on short notice (I didn't even think about getting one before I was "reminded), and they put something beautiful together in a few hours. They put in mostly silk flowers so it was more durable for the event, and it was lovely. They asked a few questions ahead of time so they knew the theme and my daughter's favorite colors and the color of her dress, and they tailored it to those. The prices were also great. I will definitely be back the next time I have floral needs! read more

After moving away from Michigan I've found occasions that I need to send flowers home. i've used some of the bigger online companies and get the runaround regarding same day or next day delivery or disappointing bouquets This time, I tried out Jim's Florist - a local shop in Michigan and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service I received. They were able to make an arrangement and have it delivered same day. The person on the phone (Jim?) was very kind, and asked questions about what type of arrangement I would like, what I would like in the card, etc. The recipient said that the bouquet was very beautiful and hinted that I must've spent a fortune on it (always a good compliment when you don't spend a fortune on something) I'll be using Jim's Florist again in the future. :) read more

I've ordered from Jim's twice and have been pleased both times. The location is right by my GF's office so delivery is easy and always extremely fast. Prices are reasonable and the flower arrangements come out looking great. When ordering online the only thing I would like to see would be more room on card. I am so disappointed with the flowers we got from Jim's. My husband went there today for a little bouquet for our daughter for her dance recital. He asked for a small bunch of baby roses, preferably mixed in color. He was told he only had red and white rose and offered no help in filling the bouquet. He left there with 3 red roses and some babies breath for almost $13! What a rip off. The roses aren't good quality either. I gave them one star because that is the lowest you can give. Really disappointed in arrangement delivered. I ordered a premium bouquet online as a congratulations to a wedding couple based on an image advertised on their website and what was delivered wasn't even close. I understand that they can never be exactly the same but this was a huge difference..and there wasn't even a bow or ribbon around the vase. I contacted the owner was told you can't go by an image displayed on their website cause it's actually an FTD(?) image and they push all the flowers to the front to make the arrangement look fuller...whhaaat?!! Are you kidding me, don't advertise something on your website that your not willing to live up to. He did ask what I'd like to do about but it was to late in my mind since the flowers had already been delivered. He did agree to credit me $10 for a midsize arrangement rather a premium bouquet. I would never order from here again unfortunately after paying $68 and being let down. I attached a photo to their business page. We purchased all our wedding flowers from Jim's Florist (Mound and Chicago Road) on August 1, 2015, for my daughter's wedding. The owners, Sue and Pat, worked with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We talked about what flower types and arrangements we were leaning towards, and they gave us their expert opinions based on flower type, colors, time of year, etc. Their phenomenal suggestions were invaluable, and the final products exceeded mine and my daughter's expectations. The flowers were so beautiful and fresh they looked like they were picked that morning. They look fabulous in the photos and, after the wedding, the guests took the centerpieces home. I am still hearing stories on how long the flowers lasted. We purchased the flowers for the bridal party and all the family members, and they provided holders with water in the limo (and at the hall) for the bouquets. They supplied the flowers for the church and the hall. They did the table centerpieces, entrance, dessert table and bridal table. Flowers are such important part of the day and they were absolutely beautiful; the guests reiterated that all night. If you are shopping for flowers for any special occasion, you must visit Sue and Pat!
