I slammed on my brakes, and went in to check it out. Holy guacamole! Their hanging baskets are regularly $14.99 each, or $12.99 each when you buy 3, so 50% off made them $7.50 or $6.50 each! No joke. I ended up spending $90 and almost couldn't fit all the plants in my car. I thought I had plenty, then I was driving up Ryan 3 days ago, July 8, and saw a sign for 75% off. You have got to be kidding me?! Screetch!!!!! Pulling over again. This time I only spent $60, and again had a time getting it all into my car. This place is awesome!!!!!!!!!

I was appalled that he would say this out loud in front of customers. Not to mention the demeaning tone he used towards the worker. I put my flowers down that I had picked out and left. Our landscape firm recommended that we go to Telly's to select a special red maple for an area on…read moreour property that is outside where our landscaper's work. We found a beautiful specimen, bought it and contracted to Telly's to plant it. This was in September of 2025. Now seven months later, the specimen is dead. We took pictures to the store and I spoke to the person who sold me the tree originally. He told me he needed to consult an "expert". I was introduced to another man who looked at my pictures and fairly immediately diagnosed that there was something wrong with our soil and that is what killed the tree. He indicated that their warranty did not cover disease. He showed me the treatment for the soil and explained how to do it. We spent $90 on this treatment. After consulting with our landscaper, there were several things that were suggested, but here's the most important one. The tree dying so quickly would suggest that the disease may have been in the potted plant's soil WHEN it was planted. The landscaper found it unusual that if the disease were newly introduced to the plant from our soil that it would have died so quickly. At any rate, we will never buy another specimen tree like this from Telly's. This experience really felt like a "setup" between the two employees. We had to speak to the guy who knows how to "sell" this whole soil disease excuse. As consumers, we were in no position to argue. We'd suggest that you be very careful buying an expensive specimen from Telly's and risking having your money go up in smoke in just a few months time!

That part didn't go as well as it should have, the weather turned up the heat, and for as much as I watered: still the plants were charred by the string of super sunny, hot days. Left with no choice other than to make another purchase-this time I was smart enough to ask Auburn Oaks to add delivery and install of the plants to my bill. WHAT a FABULOUS choice!! Coming here's a pleasure because their not a huge facility like Bordine's or Lowe's. Parking's tight but doable you just have to be careful when backing out since it's literally on Auburn Road, which is super busy and the speed limit's 50 MPH. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. Overall a fabulous little nursery in a world of big box stores, we love coming here for just about anything!

I had some "top soil" delivered from here. I called the day before I wanted it and the man on the…read morephone asked me to call back first thing the next morning to place my order. He said he could give me an idea of when I'd receive it if I called back then. So how many people ordered after my initial call? Because I called back the next morning, at 8:05, and was initially told there was no way I'd receive it that day, that their delivery schedule was full for the day. I went over my previous day's conversation and eventually I was able to receive my "top soil" that day. I use quotations because it wasn't really the best top soil. At first it looked okay but as we spread it around our yard we were able to see all the rocks in it. It looked like pea gravel was mixed in with the dirt. What am I going to do now that it's all spread out in my yard? I just hope grass grows.
