It was a whole different instrument when he was finished. And it was the most perfect tuning I ever heard. He was working on that piano for over three hours - at least twice as long as any tuner I've ever used before. And when he was done, he only wanted to charge me his usual $100! I couldn't even stomach doing that to him, so I paid him more.

I decided piano lessons would be a nice hobby to pick up during my pregnancy. I began by taking one-hour lessons as Mr. Garcia-Bolao had advised, but soon realized I would prefer shorter lessons. I had to ask several times before he agreed to shorten our lessons. During the short time that I took lessons with Mr. Garcia-Bolao, he canceled lessons at least three times with little to no notice. These cancellations were due to a surgical procedure, a death, and simply never telling me he was taking two weeks off. I got to a point in my life where my work and my pregnancy were consuming my time, and I needed to take a break from lessons. I requested a refund for the three classes that I did not take during the month of June, and he simply told me no, he will not provide me with a refund, but said I can use those lessons when I get back. I then explained I wasn't sure if I would be able to come back (again, due to my work and pregnancy constraints). Mr. Garcia-Bolao then BLOCKED my phone number simply because I requested a refund for classes I could not take. I decided to reach out via email and again, request the refund that I believe was owed back to me. Mr. Garcia-Bolao advised me that I will not be receiving a refund because I "did not provide sufficient notice" to cancel two of my lessons. I also did not provide "sufficient notice to discontinue lessons". The website states that he has "flexible make up policies", yet he does not practice what he preaches. He then asked me NOT to contact him further about this matter. I then reminded him of the two weeks he took off during the month that I am requesting a refund for. He had provided ZERO notice while I sat outside of his house trying to contact him with no answer until the next day. He responded, apologized for the miscommunication, and offered to refund those two classes. GUESS WHAT - it's been ONE month and I have yet to receive my refund that he agreed to. I have reached out yet AGAIN and he continues to ignore me. I can't say enough about how unprofessional this business is, and I will continue to tell that to anyone in search of piano lessons. He just wants your money.

Update: Long story short, it took some time to get things sorted, but the problem was dealt with…read moreproperly, and we were given a variety of options about how we wanted to proceed. We decided to buy a better trumpet from them after Hunter spent a good amount of time with us, letting us try out different models and find the one that worked best for our son. I'm not sure if it's because I'm heavily tattooed, or if the owner just thought I was young or poor, but he all but refused to show me trumpets that I had cash in my pocket to buy.
