Worst takeout sushi ever, just imagine 2 week old rice, wrapped in fish that smells like a wet dog after yoga class. The seaweed was soggy and slippery, it was just like unwrapping clothes on Christmas. The wasabi, it tasted like fishpaste and motor oil. The Service was terrible, waited 20 minutes to even get a reply about my pickup, The nice woman at the front counter, she was so patient and polite, but gosh I swear she would rather climb Mt.Everest than to get my order out . I asked her what was taking so long, questioning the freshness of the food. So I asked her if the food was fresh, she replied "I think so" I just stared at him with a fake smile, just thinking "Um what so you mean you think?" OK Baxley, GA you don't have a lot of choices. I'll blame this pick on a co-worker. Typical mom and pop Chinese buffet decor. It was a little dingy, but not really dirty or unclean but definitely in need of a make over. Typical buffet selections but there was some odd items like garlic bread, little meatballs on a stick? Some of the lo mien noodles were dried from sitting, nothing seemed to be hot. I will admit there was nothing that seemed really stale. The staff wasn't too attentive to anything until my co-worker started practicing his bad mandarin with her then she was all smiles and refills. Everything was great until my wife went to get ice cream. She grabbed a spoon from the container and here come the insects. Roaches to be exact. My wife showed the waitress that they come out of the spoons and crawled onto the rice cooker. The waitress smashed them with her bare hands and went on about her business like nothing was wrong . Grabbed the cups and filled someone else's drink up with roach hands . If you don't like bugs on your food and utensils then you better not stop here !!!!! We waited 10 minutes after we left . Decent dining options are sparse in Baxley but if you gotta do it in this town Jin's is one of your best choices. Maybe one of a couple options actually. But with that said forget the buffet. It is not that good, always needing a refill, overpriced for the money, and the selection and quality is poor. However, these folks can cook. Just get it to go--from the menu. The Dinner Special Combos are generous and tasty. The price is better than the buffet for what you get. And I don't know why but they give you 2 egg rolls per order. Works for me. The General Tso is classic but has an extra flavor of fresh peppers infused into it. Really nice for the genre. The egg rolls and fried rice are quality. Surprisingly both are better than most anywhere. The Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetables is outstanding. The brown sauce is savory but the 5 Spice really comes through on the meat. The Szechuan Beef is also savory and great with the fresh veges. And the Shrimp and Broccoli are class as well. For the money this is well worth it. The portions are generous and for the area it's gonna be one of your best consistent bets for eating out. I'm not saying it's my favorite by far, but if you need to it is going to seem like a 5 star compared to what is offered in this town. But I wouldn't give it more than a 3 in reality. Only chinese buffet I would go to is here. Even my mom loves to come here when she is visiting. Food is always fresh and the staff is friendly. We are always treated great and never have had a problem in the six years that we have been coming here. read more
