We needed a caffeine fix!! The town has spoken and Jitterbug Coffeehouse is the place to go! We walked into this cozy shop that was decorated with puzzles in frames on the walls, set up with tables & chairs, with games, a couch and a lounge chair in back to order some coffee. My daughter ordered a hot mocha and I ordered what's called an undertow... Are you asking what the heck an undertow is? Lol, you guessed right. I'm not from around here! An Undertow coffee is a layered drink, essentially a strong shot of hot espresso floated over cold, sweetened milk (often vanilla-flavored), creating a distinct hot/cold contrast meant to be drunk quickly as one. It's made by pouring espresso over the back of a spoon onto a base of syrup and milk in a short cup, delivering a powerful, flavorful punch in one go! When they made mine, it could had more cream, but I barely explained it the right way, lol. It was still very delicious and I got a delicious caffeine hot to get me through the last day of shopping before Christmas!! The staff here seemed like they were family! They were nice and while we waited for our drinks, we sat on the couch admiring all of the cool puzzles that were framed on the wall. There was a wall that said, " Pay It Forward...Buy a coffee or a meal for someone" I love their beautiful giving hearts. Super homey, workers were super patient with my indecisive grandma so that was very sweet. We walked in and it looked like a bunch of high school kids running the place. They might have been young but they knew their stuff and how a customer is supposed to be treated. Wish I'd had more kids with this work ethic when we had a business. We had gone in the day before and gotten ice cream (best I may have ever had) saw the menu and that looked good. We went back the next afternoon for lunch. I had a mocha, again as good as I may have ever had. Wife and I split a panini not going to say it again, but you get the picture (very good) We'll definitely be going back. At least for the ice cream. We love the Jitterbug coffee shop. The ambiance is wonderful and the coffee is great. Occasionally there is a long line to order and they have no capacity to open a second register to help move things along, so it can take an excessive time to get a cup of coffee. That's not entirely the shops fault as people will wait until the last second to look at the menu and decide what they want, but a second register would move things along a little faster. Just don't go there during the lunch rush and you'll be fine. read more

Quaint coffee shop with an eclectic vibe. Great selection of coffee beans to choose from, along with a variety of syrups. This place is cute, the service was friendly and gave me tons of options once I told her I am dairy-free. I ordered the French press, Ethiopian brew with cashew milk as my dairy alternative. My friend ordered one of their specialty drinks- mocha s'mores on ice! Delicious. Gluten free options too! I arrived too late for lunch- I think the board says it stops at 2pm. On a recent trip to Heber Springs we stopped at the Jitterbug Coffeehouse! A neat place in an old building on Main Street. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had ice cream, a shake and a latte. OMG!! This was coffee heaven! So many flavor options and choices. They have more sugar free syrups than one can imagine. They also have several dairy free options for milk. How many places actually have cashew milk as an option? So thrilled with this place. Just visiting for a week and wish I had discovered this place on our first day. Summary: Good, relaxed place to get a beverage. I had a day where I could just drive and I ended up in Heber Springs. I hopped on my Yelp app and found Jitterbug was supposed to be open, so I checked it out. The atmosphere is your typical laid-back coffeehouse. Old bank style ceiling, art on the walls, a nice mish-mash of places to sit. There's even a little room in the back where you can get away from the buzz of the main seating area. The bagel I had was still surprisingly fresh late in the afternoon. It would have been nice to have a few sandwiches that could have been available to eat. Jitterbug also has ice cream, so it's a good family stop. Coffee for mom, ice cream for the kids. Bottom line: A nice little coffee stop in Heber. read more
