Getting there: Their Concord location is located in downtown. The parking lot is small but there is street parking surrounding the office. Experience: My mom has been a patient of Dr. Junaid for years, and when I started experiencing severe allergies she suggested I paid him a visit as well. He's so sweet and personable. I love when doctors remember you and the things going on in your life even if they haven't see you in months. Dr. Junaid is one of those. Since I do not live in the area any more, the office is kind enough to mail my prescription to me. (It's made in house). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the office is clean and put together. read more

I had only ONE appointment with "doctor" Saw Sein in the Concord location on September 4, 2025, there was no bloodwork or testing of any kind done. I had requested referrals for dermatology, pain control and neurology. A referral was sent and approved for dermatology, however it had wrong information on it and the dermatology office had been trying to get in contact with them for 2 weeks with no response! On the day of my dermatology appointment I was informed that I would have to pay cash for the appointment unless there was a corrected referral (now mind you I've had severe all over body itching for going on two years so every delay is horrible for me!), I call "doctor" Sein's office and the staff told me they already sent the corrected referral (ABSOLUTE LIE!) as I had just gotten off the phone with the dermatology office. I didn't find out until over two months later that "doctor" Sein told my insurance that I had diabetes. I have NEVER in my life been diagnosed with diabetes! I wrote an email telling of her incompetence and that her staff were liars and that I was not going back there. "Doctor" Sein sent me a letter that she will no longer be my PCP and that I was unprofessional. VERY laughable as I had long since gone to a new PCP and I wouldn't go back to her if my very life depended upon it! Her calling me unprofessional HA! as a doctor she should know how to diagnose diabetes. All around horrible experience, avoid Jiva Health at all costs as your life might depend on their "care" and good luck getting it! read more

After a year as a patient in the endocrinology dept. in the Walnut Creek location I will have to find another medical practice. Jiva Health does not answer the phone and they one phone number for ALL locations and this includes there corp. headquarters in Concord. If the phone is finally answered the staff is rude and incompetent with basic healthcare questions. They hire very specific race not many black ppl mostly white and Indian. I won't say racist but very close. Don't even try to apply if you are anything outside of that. That is true facts. This has to be the worst sleep center in the nation! I first tried to use them in 2024, through SUTTER. After eight months of them screwing around. I finally quit the study. A year after I began, SUTTER contacted me to try to complete it and I told him to forget it. Then I started with NorthBay in December of last year. To my dismay, they also use Jiva Health! It took until February 4 before Jiva Health contacted me. They left a number for me to call back, but when I called back, they said they couldn't help me and this went on until the 12th when I finally reached somebody who said they would mail me something. So I had to wait almost 3 months just for them to mail me something that is disposable after I use it. I was scheduled for an in person Sleep Study at their Vacaville sleep clinic the first time. I spent more than three hours and several days on the phone explaining to them that I'm disabled, trying to determine if I could even do the Sleep Study at their facility. They assured me they had taken care of everything and arranged it so I could, but when I showed up, nobody knew anything about my disability. They had nothing available to accommodate me and I had to turn around and go home. I never even got so much as an apology either at the facility or later. But they called me a couple days later to reschedule and then again six or eight months later to reschedule still with no clue how to deal with my disability or even that I had one. These people are the worst! Do yourself a favor and go someplace else You will just be frustrated. Oh and none of them speak English that you can understand. I seriously think that their call center must be in the Philippines. Unless you want to spend months getting this done, if ever, go someplace else. read more

Extremely Disappointed - Unresponsive and Unreachable I've been trying to schedule an appointment here for weeks with absolutely no luck. My calls go straight to voicemail, where I've left four messages--none of which have been returned. I've also submitted multiple inquiries through their website, and all I've received in return is radio silence. Out of curiosity, I even tried pressing #1 to see if pretending to be a doctor would get someone to answer--still nothing. Frankly, if this is how they treat potential customers, I can't imagine the experience improves once you're actually a client. 12/16/24 I arrived on Oxygen and in a Wheelchair for a Sleep Study. I informed my Tech that I was in a Wheelchair because I had a heart condition and was unable to stand. I don't remember her name, but she was a Black Woman. As she connected me to all the electrodes, headgear and hoses, I asked her what time she gets off work and she said, 6am. The next morning, she woke me up and took me from a horizontal 8hr sleeping position to standing beside the bed, so she could remove all the Sleep Study headgear electrodes, and hoses. I begged and pleaded with her to let me sit down because I was losing consciousness, and she refused. I then took my Oxymeter out of my pocket, placed it on my finger, showing her my O2 was 82% and Pulse was 168. At that point my Son stepped in and I collapsed on to the bed. She then climbed all over my lifeless body, removing the rest of the Sleep Study probes. To add insult to injury, she then removed the bedding from beneath my body and said "you cannot use a pillow." After laying down for 5mins my Son was able to get me into my Wheelchair and took me to our car. As my Son was putting my Wheelchair in the trunk, I watched this lady get in her car and leave, I then looked at my phone and it was 5:10am. She'd previously told me her shift ended at 6am. Was her rush to get me out spurred by Jiva Health allowing their employees to go home as long as all patients have left the building? Shame on Jiva Health! read more

I have no problem with the medical care. I take issue with each physician requiring a patient to fill out a huge multi-page questionnaire when all that data is already on file with Jiva. It took weeks before I got a hold of someone to get a consultation. I finally got my 10-15 call with the doctor and later received a $400 bill. After that, they never called back to schedule treatment! It's been months! I'm starting to believe this place makes money by charging $400 for 10-15 minute consults and that's it! I have been through weight loss clinics through my life. I lose a bunch and then over the years pack it on. I decided to ask my PCP for a referral to a real medical clinic/dietitian. I am In a spot where I am having health problems related to weight and need professional help. It's a low for me for sure. I get the referral and jump to the chance to get some real help. I was notified that insurance wasn't going to cover it, because they didn't see a medical reason which iamb crazy to me, but decided to pay out of pocket anyways. It's time. The office is disorganized at best and people working there were pretty unprofessional with junk foods and super sized fast food sodas on their desks. I literally don't know why any one of them had scrubs on. No one checking me in could carry a conversation on let alone an empathetic one. I was rushed through the beginning of my appointment with quick questions and little eye contact. My doctor was even worse. Barking at me for info, not getting to know me at all, the last thing I remember as my brain blew a fuse was pointing at me and saying "well. THIS didn't happen overnight." She was someone who probably never dealt with weight issues ever and definitely felt it was an easy task for anyone to just change. I was given some supplement info, a script for metformin, (I am pre diabetic) and a pamphlet. Little guidance on how to change. In a daze I politely paid for some supplements and made returning appointment to the next window and made my way to my car. Another weird encounter with someone behind the desk who had no idea how to talk with humans. I remember driving home wondering how I had gotten to this point in my life. Not in weight, that obviously was a problem, but to where I took that terrible service with a smile. I got home and cried for the rest of the day and vowed never to let any place treat me like that again. I am wonderful. A weight loss clinic like weight watchers or jumpstart would be a better bet for anyone looking for a weight loss clic. You'll get the support you need and the bedside manner you deserve. I'll be revisiting my pcp to get a referral to a nutritionist who can actually help me and letting everyone know this was a bad referral. read more

jiva Health has been giving me my prolia shot for osteoporosis since I was transferred over from my nice Doctor Who died. They are very impersonal. I don't think I've ever seen the doctor. But the thing that really bothers us is that they constantly resend the bill that we need to pay after Medicare pays. As many as three or four times after we paid. Causes my husband to repay the bill and then to owe us money. I'm going to switch to a different endocrinologist, I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I've had a PPO health insurance for over 34 years so I can use specialty doctors in or out of network . I've been going to Jiva for my medically needed allergy shots for many years . On Friday I received a voicemail stating they were dropping me because they no longer accept my health insurance , they didn't offer me any solutions or recommendations . I called my health insurance and they said it's not that they don't accept my insurance because I am covered . It's about the claim amount . Jiva isn't getting paid the full amount they are claiming so they decided to just drop me . I'm frustrated and disgruntled and hoping this makes its way to Keith Thompson, Director of Operations, Sleep. Mr. Thompson, I am writing you directly out of frustration over my inability to make contact with your staff at several of your East Bay Offices where I have left messages throughout the week. My Blue Shield representative also tried calling your offices, to no avail. My CPAP machine has mold in it . In late April, I had a Zoom appt. with your NP, Linda Hawk, who concluded I need a new machine and she'd send a request for authorization to Blue Shield (BS). On May 10, BS informed me no request had been received. I spoke with your Walnut creek office on May 12 who said it mistakenly hadn't been sent, they would take of it and I should check back with BS in "a few days," which I did on May 22. That request still hadn't been received by your office. Your company description on your website states: "We are committed to providing superior healthcare services with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and management." I have mold in my CPAP machine and can't even get someone to call me back. This is unacceptable; I am asking you directly to intercede and help me. read more

One of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had - I can't recommend enough that you go ELSEWHERE for your sleep study/care if you can! For context, I was a sleep medicine patient at San Francisco Sleep Diagnostics in 2022. They were a small clinic, and the receptionist/scheduler was incredibly kind and competent. When I had to get a repeat study two years later, I immediately remembered her name and decided I'd work with them again. The problem started the first time I called the clinic. I was super confused because I was routed to "Jiva Health," and the rep I spoke to had no idea about the clinic I went to. It took several reps over separate phone calls (always a voicemail then a return call - over a dozen calls with them, only one was answered directly by a live person) to figure out that Jiva acquired the clinic I went to. I'm now being funneled through the new patient channel, even though I'd been a patient with them before. I had to chase down a referral from my very busy existing provider, only to be told it needed to be more specific, and I ended up still being seen by one of their doctors. What was supposed to take a week, ten days tops, took over a month. Every call I had, I spoke to a different rep who had no idea about my history or each other, and they just fit me into a script. The clincher came with the last phone call after I finally jumped through the hoops to be eligible for the sleep study. A rep called me only to put me on hold while he got a scheduler on the other line (it was more important that they optimized their schedulers' time rather than mine, and why they had layers of reps/schedulers is beyond me). When I was transferred, the scheduler had no idea why she was speaking to me. I had to restate my request for the hundredth time. As she was talking me through yet another script, she said I had to pick up my equipment in a location that was two hours away because the clinic in my city (where I originally went) was over-scheduled. That was the first time anyone told me this was a possibility. She only offered to send the equipment to me by mail when I pointed out how unreasonable this situation was. She never offered an apology, worked with me proactively, or even expressed concern that this was so inconvenient. The whole experience, from start to finish, was impersonal, time-consuming, and frustrating. To be clear, I don't blame any of the reps and schedulers for my experience. They need the proper training and information to offer something different. This felt like an extreme example of a healthcare system that doesn't invest the time to care for their patients as customers or humans. The one upside is that the doctor I met with was helpful enough. He seemed to understand the absurd situation and just did what he needed to do to get me passed along in the system. read more

These guys are some of the most incompetent medical professionals I've ever dealt with. Not only was Dr Bhat late to my appointment, he took almost a week to write the prescription for my CPAP. After they wrote the prescription they kept losing it or sending it and never confirming receipt. It took 2-3 weeks to get confirmation that my receipt for my CPAP machine was in the hands of the machine supplier. Disorganized, incompetent, and lazy. Came for Allergy testing in March, paid a 50 dollar co payment and made me come back again after a 5 min office visit and pay an other 50 dollars for no reason. They should do the testing when they schedule you. Testing was inconsistent and they offered no real solutions. Then had the nerve to send me another bill 6 months later lol. My doctor retired so Jiva health got his patients. I was on a bio identical hormone replacement . Now I had problems getting it every month. Never saw the same doctor, then found out the doctor was in Stockton. She took me off my cream! Put me on alternative. I went through withdrawals through the holidays. Started having headaches . I did not sign up for a group practice or zoom calls! The final point was when I received 6 bills in one day for 28.00 co pay. I guess there really worried about there co-pay. I will look for a doctor that has one office and wants to be a family practitioner. And is open to bio identical natural hormone replacement and cares about my needs. I honestly can't understate how bad my experience was with the Vacaville clinic. My experience was frustrating in several ways: 1.) The office staff was highly uncommunicative, and I had to follow up with them multiple times to get things scheduled. They would say "we'll contact you in a few weeks" and I wouldn't hear from them, then I would have to persistently call them to get their attention. 2.) The sleep clinic was super uncomfortable. Staff was unfriendly, the rooms were sterile, beds were uncomfortable, and most unfortunately the rooms were extremely hot. 3.) I had multiple "phone consultations" which lasted less than 10-minutes, for which they charged me $50 copays. I do not object to paying for healthcare and I get that copays are part of the process, but Jiva was just particularly tacky in this respect. I had a set of results that basically showed nothing was wrong and no treatment was recommended. Rather than just giving me a courtesy call (which many other doctors I've gone to would have done) they tried to charge me a $50 copay for an "appointment" to just say "you're good." I declined and just asked them to send me the results, which were easily interpreted and did not need to be "explained" by an NP. Highly recommend going to a different provider. U.S. healthcare can be frustrating in general, but these guys take it to the extreme. read more

Terrible group. Trying to get anything dealt with or sorted out is near impossible. The front office staff are always rude and short. When doing a phone visit with the Dr. You are not connected until your copay is paid ahead of time. I received a bill for a visit that they stated was not paid. I called the billing department right away and they were to look into it and call me back. My appointments got canceled even though I had reached out to billing and never heard back. I called again to billing who once again said they'd look into it and once again never called me back. I have proof of payment from my banking info from the day they said I'd never paid. Instead of anyone from billing calling me back to handle it I keep getting bills in the mail for the payment. So now I am unable to see the Dr and unable to take care of my payment issue. This is just the latest blunder from this office. I wish I never started going here. They really need to pull it together. Very frustrating. read more

Abstract: Linda Hawk and Jiva Health retained important patient results for 2 months. Her supervisor (Dr. ) later admitted that she overdiagnosed my condition. Linda Hawk (FNP) who works at Jiva Health (formerly known at California Center for Sleep Disorders) was supposed to treat me for sleep apnea. I received a referral to her office from my PCP on 6-18-22 and saw her on 11-28-22 for an initial consultation. She ordered a home sleep study which was performed a few weeks later. After obtaining the home study results, Linda insisted that I need therapy and ordered a cpap titration study. I received the study on 4-7-23. After the study was completed, the technician insisted as well that I needed cpap treatment. I was very worried, and scheduled a follow up appointment virtually with Linda Hawk on 4-17-23, and at the time of the appointment a nurse called tell me that my results were not downloaded from the server yet. The nurse rescheduled me for 4-24-23. On 4-24-23, a nurse called again to tell me that my results were not downloaded and rescheduled me for another appointment. I proceeded to ask her to call me to schedule an appointment when the results are available. On 6-12-23, I called to inquire about the results and a nurse told me that the results were available and scheduled me for a consultation on 6-19-23. On 6-19-23, Linda Hawk did not show up for her appointment. At this point I called and requested a refund for all services and Jiva Health refused to do so. I travelled to their Concord, CA location to demand my refund. Instead, they handed me my results (without a consultation) and sent me away. Dr. Imran Junaid, MD called as I waited for my refund in their waiting room and admitted they withheld my results/treatment too long. At this point, I lost trust in the company, and I wanted to end all business and re-start with a doctor that I can trust. Dr. Junaid insisted that I set up a virtual consultation with Dr Jerrold Kram, MD for 1:15 pm on June 19th. During my consultation with Dr. Kram, he admitted that Linda misdiagnosed my home study and stated that I did not need the cpap titration test. He suggested that I seek treatment with a dentist, which he can help me set up through Jiva Health. Not knowing what to do and fearing that I am just being misled into spending more money, I demanded an order for a cpap. I asked for the order to specify that I did not want to deal with Jiva Health anymore. I am so confused, because one provider is telling me I need one line of treatment and another one is admitting to over-diagnosing. If I did not need the cpap titration study, why did I spend so much money on it? Where they just trying to make money out of me? I can't get a second opinion because they refuse to invalidate my results and free me of the financial burden. This mistake and neglect is costing me time, money, and the stress of thinking I had sleep apnea for no reason. I want a follow-up with another doctor, and I am scared that I will have to pay this out of pocket since my insurance already covered one cpap titration study. Jiva Health has absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a medical company. I have been working with the Concord sleep clinic and I cannot get hold of anyone ever. They don't follow their own protocols for educating people on how to do the home sleep studies. I had to call over and over and over again, over a period of days, before someone picked up the phone and gave me the info they were supposed to provide proactively. My latest obstacle in a line of obstacles is that I am trying to get a CPAP machine. I can't even get my prescription released to me from my physician so that I can take my business elsewhere. Never coming back here; I was a patient at Jiva Health in Walnut Creek, CA and am a native Spanish speaker. I overheard the front desk ladies speaking in Spanish and in a very unprofessional manner. The woman at the front desk used unprofessional vocabulary in Spanish while she was on the phone. I could not believe my ears. In the past I also had a very negative experience with the music the front desk lady played and sang along to it; mind you the lyrics of the song used vulgar Spanish vocabulary. I didn't know if they were distracted, lazy, or just inept. Looking back I think it was all three. Julie and her staff failed in communicating and documenting the results of a test that required my wearing 80 different compounds on my back for two days. I asked for a simple summary report three times which was promised but never delivered. I was so angry. After four appointments and over $800 I had nothing to show my dermatologist. As of April 2021, I tried filling out an online form on their website so that they would contact me. A miracle happened! Someone called me back. I called them back and asked to set up an appointment to start the program and they said that the woman in charge of the weight loss program was busy. I have received the best attention and care with Dr. Anita. If she is unsure of information, she researches and makes calls to get your answers for your particular health. Also, she doesn't hesitate one minute, if she needs to recommend another specialist to get you back up on your feet. After being chronically ill without a diagnoses for 4 years Dr. Anita recommended Dr. Lana in the Walnut Creek office and she diagnosed my illness in 2 weeks. Previously, I have seen 18 specialists without a diagnosis after many unending blood work and various imaging. I gave up. thinking I would need to learn to live the rest of my life with all of my odd symptoms, wasting many days in bed because I can't get out of bed. Long story short, I have Lyme disease.
