I found the process of working with a Jiva Health provider overcomplicated and not quite worth the effort. After wanting a second non-Kaiser opinion on my thyroid and having issues setting up an appointment online, I called and scheduled a video consult. The pre-paperwork was a bit lengthy and during our appointment we went over my story. While I was able to confirm with her that my current medication was the best course of action, I didn't love that I later met with a Kaiser doctor who provided me with documentation that hypothyroid patients can have nasal nerves that go, for lack of a better word, haywire (falls under the term non-allergic rhinitis) and that lowering my dose as she suggested might actually cause the nerve to flare up. Overall I felt like One Medical had a better intake that was more thorough and helpful, and John Muir Allergy was overall more knowledgeable. At the end of the day, the out of pocket cost for the appointment was around $240, and I essentially got what I was looking for which was a discussion about my medication but I don't plan to move forward with Jiva Health. read more

Jiva Health has been impossible to reach by phone since they introduced AI to handle calls. In my first call I told the robot I needed a referral, and she said she would handle it and let me know. That never happened. 2 1/2 weeks ago. Since then I have been trying to reach the switchboard constantly, leaving a message and being promised a call back ; with absolutely no results. I went to the Sleep Center, the code they gave did not work. I came from Vallejo to Walnut Creek and no after hours technician was answering any of my calls. I called at least 12 URGENT calls. No one let me in the building. Attached is my proof that this is the worst experience!! I was scheduled for a sleep study at 930 pm. They keep texting me to remind me to be there that night. That day of the test, I even spoke with someone for the code to confirm. The place had no lights outside. The parking lot was dark. It was very eerie. This is for the In person sleep study I did last week. I recieved a phone call asking if I'd like to come in at 9:45 instead of 9 am. I said that would be okay. I get there at 9:30 and fill out my paperwork. They sent paperwork to my email but I had already filled the same paperwork out when I came in office so I didn't think I had to do it again. I did. It did not take long. My technician was a man named Jerimaih. I think that was his name or Johnathan. I'm sorry I'm so bad with names! He was very nice. Coming into the building was creepy lol You put a code in and go upstairs or take the elevator. Walk all the way down the hallways to the left. When I was done filling out paperwork another lady came in saying her appointment was at 9:45 and Jerimaih let her know I was his 9:45. He told her that her appointment was at 9 and she proceeded to go back and forth saying she has a voicemail saying they changed her time. Never played it but kept saying she had it. Then said she didn't know if she deleted it. I told him someone had called and left me a voicemail asking me to call them back. My appointment was originally at 9 pm and they asked me if I would change the time to a later time. Before we went into the room he asked if I needed to use the bathroom. Then explained how he was going to hook up the wires to my chest, neck, head, face, bottom of my legs. I thought he said feet but nothing was placed on my feet. It sucked bad having all of that attached to me. He was polite. They add straps around your chest and stomach. There's a camera in the room. Nothings on the room except a chair, table, bed, camera watching you and the bed. I had a hard time sleeping. I toss and turn a lot and it was hard with the wires added to me. I kept waking up, woke up coughing. They wake up up at 5:15 I think.but I already woke up at 4:50 and sat up. Jerimaih came into the room asking me if I was okay. Which I stated I was. I get pains in my legs and arms at night and just explained that and I wake up constantly throughout the night. He said he would stop the study and come back to unhook me. Once unhooked they have you sign a paper stating you are awake and alert to drive him. He also explained the dr will look over the test and they will call me back in for the Cpap machine if they decided I need it. I actually do. I was told by the dr in the concord location many years ago that I did have sleep apnea but I never came back for the sleep test. I did the two day home study which they did not get anything from because the thing flew off my finger. That's why they had to do the in person study. Jerimaih had to tape the thing that goes over your finger to my hand because I told him the last one ended up on the floor! When you go to the study it's going to be uncomfortable having all of those things attached to you. The next day you will feel sticky on your head, neck, face from the stuff they stick to you. I felt like I was scrubbing forever to get it off. I would definitely recommend them. I see all the bad reviews and I'm sorry those people had bad experiences but mine is always pleasant when I come here. Hopefully I get my machine because my neurologist said it would help out a lot. Not sure how much data they collected. I feel like I had a hard time sleeping from tossing and turning and waking up coughing. read more

I first started coming to the weight loss clinic 10 years ago. I made Dr Anita my primary care. She also helped me with weight loss. I'm not quite sure when. The weight loss clinic became Jiva I began to notice things started to change. I would call my doctor, they would leave him a message to get back to me. I never hear back the staff to be incompetent, absolutely worst communication.. Issues with the billing department. It shouldn't be hard to see my doctor instead of going to urgent care. I saw a physician assistant with their sleep center to get a CPAP RX. They said they would provide one but later had someone from the Phillipines call me and try to get me to do a sleep study. I refused since I know my insurer does not require this and there is no clinical reason to do this. After this they stopped responding to my messages and never provided the prescription. I usually don't give reviews, however I need to for Jiva Health. I have been a patient for a year in there endocrinology dept. and will need to find another health service . Calling this office is absolutely impossible every time. Sitting on hold for 30 minutes is not acceptable for a healthcare practice. Also if you get a live person to answer the phone be prepared to be treated horribly and not get your basic health questions answered. Lastly, the front office in the Walnut Creek reception area are impossible to deal with upon check-in. very disappointed with jiva health. sleep apena service. first consultation was july, study in august, still waiting for a simple referral to a dentist for a replacement dental device. it is now mid november! terrible service. terrible lag time on waiting for results and in complete result findings. long wait times for some one to look into why this is taking so long... with no response. it has been another month. i have had zero problems with insurance. it's a problem with the office or the company. alameda sleep center was excellent never had a problem there. read more

I rate my experience with Jiva Health Walnut Creek negative stars. Lihn Vuong was good in regard to following me for Prolia shots. However, the incompetence of the front staff caused me to miss my Prolia shot when it was due. It is widely known that a delay in getting the Prolia shot when it is due, exactly 6 months apart, puts one at higher risk of fracture, in particular compression fracture of the spine. Their actions resulted in my having a 3 week delay in getting the shot. This was enough delay to result in my suffering a new compression fracture in my spine. I went to my scheduled appointment for the shot. That is when they told me the provider was no longer there and I could not be seen or get the shot. There was no offer for someone else to take care of it. Their only response was, according to them, they sent an email informing me she would be gone. Not true. In fact, what they sent was text message confirming the appointment, hence my showing up. I have the text to prove this. I had no choice but to get a referral to a different endocrinologist. Be very careful here. Go elsewhere if possible. The only reason I was going back was because Ms. Vuong was good, but she is gone. The front staff have no clue what they are doing and it resulted in much pain and suffering for me. read more

LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS - I find that doctor's office reviews tend to be a little overblown as frustrated people in US healthcare often have no other outlet. Unfortunately, with Jiva Health this is not the case. I went to the Walnut Creek office for a sleep study in August 2024. This has been my only sleep study experience at all so I tried to stay open. First, Jiva Health's sleep study clinic is in an essentially abandoned office building, not a hospital or health clinic. It looked like it was actively under construction with protective floor coverings, dust, and signs blocking off certain parts of the building. The elevator was filthy and old. The code I was given to enter the building "after hours" for my sleep study did not work and I was lucky that a sleep tech was arriving to start their shift right about when I was meant to report for my appointment. My room was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable, but there were strange holes in the wall and a ceiling tile was completely missing, leaking a weird light into the room the whole night. My sleep tech was friendly and professional. She did a good job explaining how everything would work and what I could expect. Unfortunately, it took her quite awhile to respond to my need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I am an able bodied adult with no chronic issues, so I could wait. But if I wasn't, I would've peed myself (warning here for my weak-bladder friends). All of this I was willing to tolerate to get results for my sleep study, but unfortunately my follow-up appointment was just as half-assed. Dr. Amrita Dosanjh TOOK ANOTHER PERSON'S ENTIRE APPOINTMENT while STILL LOGGED IN AND AUDIBLE during my video appointment. When I pointed this out to her, she simply said, "Leave and come back." That was it--as if I could psychically know when she was ready for me. I had to mute my entire computer and unmute periodically to check for when she was ready for me. (Please don't get me started on Epic Telehealth's antiquated interface and total lack of user awareness). When she apologized, all she said was, "We had a lot of other patients ahead of you." Ma'am?!? It's an online appointment WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!? Just don't enter the chat room until you're actually ready for me? Discussing another patient's health information while un-muted in a call with another patient is not only grossly inappropriate, it's illegal, unprofessional, and demonstrates a technical incompetence that boggles me given how much schooling doctors (usually) undergo. I can only wonder at how over-scheduled and under-staffed Jiva's other clinics are. Overall, Jiva Health showed that they're only capable of delivering the absolute bare minimum while billing my insurance the full rate. I will not be continuing my care with this company, or with any of their associated staff, and I will actively warn people away from them. After a video call with a Jiva Nurse Practitioner, a number of blood & urine tests were ordered. Unfortunately the orders never made it to the lab we discussed. I showed up at the lab and no tests. Called the Jiva office, left a message. I followed up with a MyChart message. They apologized and resent the orders. I checked with the Lab, and they said no orders were received. Called/Messaged the Jiva office again and asked for an electronic copy so I can walk it in. Received them, but one of the orders does not have the proper information on it so the Lab cannot process it. More messages, no response. It is now been a week later and I still have no diagnostic tests ordered. I made an appointment at another Health Care Provider since I am still having the health issue and finding difficult to work These people should NOT be in the Health Care business. read more

These people are unprofessional, untrained, and could not care less about patients or their needs. The Sleep Study here is a nightmare in the making. It might be OK for people who have no physical limitations, but if you are the least bit disabled, don't go here. It will take months for them to set you up for a sleep study and if you show up disabled, you won't be able to be accommodated, even if you tell them ahead of time. This is a terrible business. I spent more than three hours on the phone explaining my disabilities and my limitations. I cannot get in a bed that is high. They told me that they could accommodate me, but when I got there, the bed was up at my waist level and there was no way I could get into it. So they just sent me home. And then the idiots called me the next day and wanted to reschedule for the same place. They have no clue what they're doing and they don't care. It's an awful business. And it is just a business not a medical facility. It took over six months just to get the Sleep Study scheduled. I was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was, at first, bewildered by it all and was urged to see a team at ANTIOCH Jiva Health. I am, and have been, totally upset by just about everyone at this multi-offices (Fairfield, Antioch, Walnut Creek etc) business. I know bits and pieces about medicine and do lots of research so am a bit above average in my knowledge. However, NOTHING since "day one" seems to have gone right with this practice and naming names is very uncomfortable for me so will desist from doing so except to say not one person has served my needs. The main endocrinologist has been especially problematic as when I was prescribed Ozempic. When I read thru the pamphlet that accompanied the med, not only was it overwhelming but said nothing about how it undoubtedly shouldn't be prescribed to someone like me (see next paragraph). I recently had major spinal surgery on top of all this and was diagnosed with Ileus which paralyzed my GI tract and was NPO (Nothing by mouth for 23 or so days) soon after the surgery. Had I known that's why Ozempic is good for weight loss I would have certainly stepped up and talked to her about my experiences with Ileus and would have steadfastly refused to take it. I started experiencing the same side effects as I did with Ileus and was totally SICK for several weeks. When I inquired via messaging on the portal e.g. familiarizing her with my past problems e.g. Ileus, she seemed confused about how to use the messaging. I have never felt confident she was understanding me nor, I, her. I have also been "working with" a dietitian who seemed very lax in her understanding of her profession and must admit because I interpret for the Deaf I have interpreted many sessions for Diabetic clients. I still remember so much about the knowledge imparted to them and therefore, I never felt my own dietitian was giving me as much information. Also, most of the time their ZOOM or telehealth system rarely worked and that was distracting as well. I had complained about the situation which was mostly her lack of experience or knowledge (?) and could I please have another. They granted me, or so I thought, changing to a different one, but it never happened? As a result I tried to give her another chance but she was still the same and that resulted in my canceling many future appointments as I wasn't getting anything out of them anyway. read more

What a God awful place. My husband had his sleep study here and he stayed from the moment he walked in it was bad. The room had bugs and cockroaches, he stayed he couldn't even fall asleep all night because he just kept hearing the employees talking and laughing so loud. One of them kept rolling around on the chair making so much noise and kept him up all night. When they took his device off the next morning they told him they didn't have enough information due to him not sleeping!! Geez, maybe it's because he couldn't sleep from it being so loud. In late April, I had a Zoom appt. with your NP, Linda Hawk, who concluded I need a new machine and she'd send a request for authorization to Blue Shield (BS). On May 10, BS informed me no request had been received. I spoke with your Walnut creek office on May 12 who said it mistakenly hadn't been sent, they would take of it and I should check back with BS in "a few days," which I did on May 22. !!!!AVOID THIS PRACTICE IF YOU HAVE SLEEP APNEA!!!! Dr Cohen prepared my overnight sleep study report and i was diagnosed with moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea with ahi of 15(moderate) all night and RemAhi of 58(severe) only from 33mins of per hour. I scheduled a follow-up, a year later, since the APAP his office prescribed has not been working due to my poor upper airway anatomy and recessed jaws. On the follow-up, he didn't give me a chance to speak. He was ready with some printouts from my resMed pap compliance for the past 30 days, which shows i wore more than 4 hours. BUT doesn't show if i was able to wear it for more than 2 hours or not as i woke up gasping with interrupted REM & and can not complete my dream. When i had a titration study like an year ago, they put me on much lower settings (5-7), and the technician has changed the settings 2 times in the entire night to keep myself from being awake. So following the recommendations, i tried same setting at my home, i wake up in panic through the air blowing out from mouth & there is no technician who watches me throughout the night to change into preferred settings accordingly. That being said, when i put higher settings like (8-12) even though i can't use it for longer than 2 hours cuz of intense pressure, i feel a day and a night difference which clearly indicates i need higher pressure to prevent my airway from collapsing. I mentioned the same thing to DR COHEN, and asked for a titration of BIPAP(which has much higher pressure relief and can make higher pressure tolerable), the ONLY thing that makes sense to my case after trying every setting from APAP, with all masks available, he straight up told me i need MEDICINE/COUNSELING to get rid of my symptoms and not a BIPAP machine cuz if he shows the COMPLIANCE report from RESmed based on how many hours one use and not HOW its used, the insurance won't pay and its very EXPENSIVE. When i asked if waking up every 2-3 hours was normal, he replied yes you have INSOMNIA disorder and the irony is he himself diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea. I had only heard this kind of gaslighting is very common in sleep medicine, for people like us with small airway & who are not treated by CPAP machines, but i experienced that myself and its totally wrong and outdated mentality from a sleep doctor with this many experience. Forget about looking into my CBCT scans & anatomy, how my jaws are far back and why i cannot comply with cpap, he only stick up with the AHI number shown BY baseless RESmed which doesn't record anything ACCURATELY, no EEG data, no oxygen desaturation, arousals and many more. They clearly know & and take advantage by placing it as the MAIN argument to shut down patients because insurance needs that magic number 15 to be even considered as sleep apnea patient. And forget about they guiding you towards the possible cure like maxillary expansions/maxillomandibular advancements, the doctor i saw before him like a year ago GWENDLYN CASHMAN clearly didn't have any idea about all this and thinks its too AGGRESIVE. Well, what if this is the only thing that can give patient the relief they deserve and everything else fails. Or put them in MAD and ruin the bites & invite them to a tmj disorders for life? Very disappointing experience, if you cannot give right advice, & don't care about the patients symptoms and only care about the $$$$, please donot discourage anyone saying you need meds rather than sleep apnea treatment and suffer whole life being GASLIGTHED. Five things they really should tell you BEFORE you go for a sleep study: 1. That the building entrance and door keypad is so poorly lit that you will have a hard time entering the code. You may want to bring a flashlight. And, it does not feel safe. 2. There will be so many electrodes attached to you that you will be uncomfortable, feel strangled/claustrophobic, and most likely will not sleep much or sleep very poorly. The next day I had to take a 5-hour nap to catch up on my sleep. So consider your work schedule beforehand. 3. That if you are a side-sleeper, the electrode behind that ear will become a pressure point that will cause discomfort, further interrupting a good sleep. My neck hurt for 36 hours afterwards. 4. That when they remove the electrodes from your scalp, hair will be pulled out - NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY! 5. That you will NOT be able to go directly anywhere other than home the following morning because your hair will be full of goop so you'll need to allow time to shower and shampoo. I have not received the results yet after 8 days but I doubt that they'll reflect actual sleep patterns. I will never do this again. read more

This is an awful business. They don't care about their patients. I was scheduled for a sleep study when I arrived at the scheduled time at 10pm and was told to call a number upon arrival. Nobody answered the phone and I was stuck outside for almost an hour. I had to call 4 other jiva health locations multiple times before I finally got someone on the phone and told them to call the Walnut Creek location to let me in. After the sleep study I received my equipment and it was working fine but when the mask broke and I needed a new one I called them and left multiple messages and they took over a week to get back to me to tell me I need to call a different company that supplies the cpap equipment. The number they gave me just rings where someone picks up and immediately hangs up so till now I still don't have my cpap equipment due to their incompetence. Not to mention I paid a lot out of pocket for this sleep therapy. read more

absolutely terrible handling of phone calls!! their phone system, after the menus, makes you sit thru 10 minutes of Hans Zimmer style music (the distortion is enough to change any lover of his music to a hater), and then asks you to leave a voicemail. (The only thing worse would be listening to advertisements of how wonderful and customer concerned Jiva is.) 90% of voice messages will never be returned. In addition, they are terrible with handling of incoming insurance approvals. my clinic has had to resend my referral 3 times so far. If you can talk to someone, they just say their fax department didn't get it, can you have your clinic resend. i am trying to get an appointment scheduled and so far I have wasted over two hours of my time sitting on hold leaving voicemails. Current call has me on hold for over 18 minutes, and I am just told immediately when they answered, "please hold", it's not even like I am waiting while someone handles my scheduling. It was a just ploy to avoid me leaving a voicemail no one will return. Occassionally when I get to talk to someone, who invariably says my clinic has to resend the referral, then I get to start all over with trying to get ahold of someone. worst experience ever. avoid! One of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had - I can't recommend enough that you go ELSEWHERE for your sleep study/care if you can! For context, I was a sleep medicine patient at San Francisco Sleep Diagnostics in 2022. They were a small clinic, and the receptionist/scheduler was incredibly kind and competent. When I had to get a repeat study two years later, I immediately remembered her name and decided I'd work with them again. The problem started the first time I called the clinic. I was super confused because I was routed to "Jiva Health," and the rep I spoke to had no idea about the clinic I went to. It took several reps over separate phone calls (always a voicemail then a return call - over a dozen calls with them, only one was answered directly by a live person) to figure out that Jiva acquired the clinic I went to. I'm now being funneled through the new patient channel, even though I'd been a patient with them before. I had to chase down a referral from my very busy existing provider, only to be told it needed to be more specific, and I ended up still being seen by one of their doctors. What was supposed to take a week, ten days tops, took over a month. Every call I had, I spoke to a different rep who had no idea about my history or each other, and they just fit me into a script. The clincher came with the last phone call after I finally jumped through the hoops to be eligible for the sleep study. A rep called me only to put me on hold while he got a scheduler on the other line (it was more important that they optimized their schedulers' time rather than mine, and why they had layers of reps/schedulers is beyond me). When I was transferred, the scheduler had no idea why she was speaking to me. I had to restate my request for the hundredth time. As she was talking me through yet another script, she said I had to pick up my equipment in a location that was two hours away because the clinic in my city (where I originally went) was over-scheduled. That was the first time anyone told me this was a possibility. She only offered to send the equipment to me by mail when I pointed out how unreasonable this situation was. She never offered an apology, worked with me proactively, or even expressed concern that this was so inconvenient. The whole experience, from start to finish, was impersonal, time-consuming, and frustrating. To be clear, I don't blame any of the reps and schedulers for my experience. They need the proper training and information to offer something different. This felt like an extreme example of a healthcare system that doesn't invest the time to care for their patients as customers or humans. The one upside is that the doctor I met with was helpful enough. He seemed to understand the absurd situation and just did what he needed to do to get me passed along in the system. read more

I was preparing for a surgery and my blood sugars were too high. Dr. Zargham took my call right away and talked me through changes to my insulin dosage. I came through surgery the next day well and without any complications of infection due to high blood sugars. So glad to have her in my care team. read more

I've been a patient at Jiva Health for a little over a year and am extremely unhappy with the "care" I have received. I began coming here for endocrinology. My doctor seemed extremely rushed and impatient. She assumed by the initial information I gave her about my medical history that I had medical conditions that I don't actually have. She would order various tests and would tell me to get the tests about a week before my next appointment. But at the time of the appointment, she would often not have the test results ready. Not sure if it was her fault or the office staff, but whenever this happened, it meant that I needed to get re-tested. This NEVER happened with my old doctor. On my second visit to the office, I got lost on the way over, and began to get anxious because I didn't want them to call me and ask why I was late. I tried to get there as fast as I could while making sure to drive safely. When I got there, they checked my vitals and noticed my pulse rate was high, which I was unaware of. They asked "So, how long have you been having these symptoms?", and before I knew it they were writing up a prescription for a heart medication I didn't need, and they hardly checked in with me about my thyroid levels at all (I had some questions I wanted to ask but never got a chance to do so). They just said "Feel better soon!" and rushed me out the door. Later that day, the doctor called and said they still hadn't gotten the results of my latest test, but again asked "So how long have you been noticing your pulse rate was high?". And again, before I could answer, she said in a condescending tone "We can do the endocrinology stuff, but you need to check in with your primary care physician about these other symptoms you're experiencing," then suddenly became all sweet and said "Feel better soon!" and hung up. The final straw was the day before my most recent appointment, the office staff called and told me the doctor I had been seeing was no longer practicing at the Walnut Creek office and was now in Sacramento. They told me they could schedule me with one of the other doctors, but I told them I would need to look at their reviews and to go ahead and cancel my appointment. If they had told me about it in advance, I would have had time to look up their other doctors' credentials, but the only reason why they were telling me now is because they had only noticed I had the appointment when they checked their schedule. This was unacceptable. And to add insult to injury, I didn't voluntarily choose to come to Jiva Health in the first place. My old doctor who I had been seeing since I was a teenager passed away. His office staff sent a notice to all his patients saying that they were forwarding their records to Jiva. Needless to say, I will be looking for another endocrinologist at a different practice. read more

The people here are nice but useless. The phone line is almost impossible to reach a representative through, and they only follow up on voicemails about 25% of the time. The endocrinologist I was seeing refused to prescribe the weekly medication I had been taking, and instead insisted on putting me on either daily supplements or biweekly injections. Most pharmacies would not supply me with the daily supplements, however it would take weeks to go through the process of trying different versions because she would not respond to the pharmacy at all, and any representatives reached on their phone line would often give blatantly false information. I demanded to switch practices after the worst of my experience- after finally switching to the biweekly injections, I received notice from my pharmacy that the endocrinologist hadn't included the correct prior authorization and they hadn't been able to talk to her. I reached out to the phone line and was told there was just a delay in the system, and that it would be processed soon. I call back a week later after having heard no updates and NOW they tell me that actually, my insurance denied the medication and that I'd have to call them to figure out what's going on. I speak to my insurance and find out that she filled out the diagnostic criteria incorrectly, and was told to reach back out to her. The next day I call the phone line again and I'm told that the endocrinologist knew about the incorrect code and resubmitted it the week prior, BEFORE my first call to Jiva health about this prescription. I asked the person over the phone why they didn't just tell me that in one of the last two calls I had with them and they couldn't give me an answer. I then reach back out to the pharmacy, where they verify the corrected insurance approval, but they tell me they also can't get this version of the medication in stock. The pharmacist explains that the prescription specifically asked for a brand she had never heard of and would likely be impossible to find outside of a hospital, but can easily get me a more generic version. I go in to pick it up and speak to the same woman in person, and she not only expresses confusion at why the endocrinologist prescribed the alternate version in the first place but also hands me the exact same medication I had been taking weekly before coming to Jiva Health. You know, the one the endocrinologist claimed she was incapable of prescribing me. I cancelled my follow up appointments with her the same day. TLDR: This place is a mess. Avoid like the plague. read more

The physicians at Jiva health are top notch. I used to call on Dr Bhat professionally and was so impressed by his knowledge and demeanor I switched my file to be his patient. Over the years the addition of Dr. Anit & Jothy Bhat have added specialty services for endocrinology and Dr Junaid for allergies is excellent. They all provide primary care as well. I find Jiva Health to be a well oiled machine when it comes to processes such as refills, getting appointments, and utilizing patient portals. Long story short these are great doctors and very happy with them! Thank you Jiva Health !! read more

1. I called to schedule to pick up a scale from the Walnut Creek office. They confirmed over the phone they had one for me. I drove from San Francisco. When I got there they told me they had given the scale away to another customer. 2. They told me they called in labs to labcorp for me. I scheduled an appointment and went - only to find they didn't have my lab work ordered. 3. They proved a Michigan based doctor on the insurance that was filed - so my California insurance denied it. 4. I called to get the insurance billing changed. They told me to send a message through their MyHillChart portal. I messaged them on March 23 to get the billing corrected and I still have not heard anything response. It is now April 10th. All this happened and they did not offer any discount or compensation. read more

Went to see Dr Anita Bhat as my endocrinologist while I had my BC/BS health insurance. She was very pleasant and answered my questions. Enjoyed having her as my specialist. Unfortunately, changing jobs meant changing insurance plans and I'm now with Kaiser because that's what my employer will pay for. You can't go see an endocrinologist with Kaiser. Your primary sends your medical info to the few specialists they have, and you're lucky to get a phone call. No video medicine....just a phone call. Be blessed if you have insurance to go see the doctors at Jiva Health. Feel lucky if you're able to get a phone call with Kaiser. read more

Save yourself the money and go ahead and buy a CPAP machine! I have gone thru several appointments and a sleep diagnosis spending $2k under covered insurance and they haven't even request a CPAP machine thru insurance. Jiva Health is clearly involved in insurance fraud. If you're not going to the sleep diagnostic all the doctors evaluations are gone thru remote sessions. After 6-months I don't even want to book another appointment anymore confirming the coverage of the CPAP machine. That's another $250 non-deductible that's coming out of my pocket when CPAP machines running between $750-1100. read more

Love this Practice! Dr Joyti Bhat and Staff are very carring, attentive to all s patients needs, from prompt medication renewals and I love the Video Dr Visits. These visits are very well run, concise and very and convenient, especially with Covid 19! Dr Bhat is a very fine doctor and very knowledgeable in the field of Diabetes. Never coming back here; I was a patient at Jiva Health in Walnut Creek, CA and am a native Spanish speaker. I overheard the front desk ladies speaking in Spanish and in a very unprofessional manner. The woman at the front desk used unprofessional vocabulary in Spanish while she was on the phone. I could not believe my ears. In the past I also had a very negative experience with the music the front desk lady played and sang along to it; mind you the lyrics of the song used vulgar Spanish vocabulary. Stay away from this clinic, as the front desk staff is very unprofessional. read more
