I waited 6 months to write this review in anticipation that someone would reach out and check on me…read moreafter seriously screwing up my face. I saw Nena in April for lip and other fillers before a trip. a few days before I left, I noticed my face was uneven and called back to try to get in before my trip. The front desk dismissed my concerns of an uneven appearance and told me things needed to settle. On my trip the unevenness got worse and my face looked paralyzed. When I returned I scheduled an appointment and discovered that I was injected with Botox in my lips instead of filler causing the appearance of Bells Palsy. I further discovered that assistants in training are allowed to handle the product and unused products are being used on other people. How do you allow anyone but the injector to handle the products? How do you know how much is injected when you pay for a syringe and they are using left overs? In 6 months no one has reached out to me to follow up. No one offered a refund for the fact that I walked around with a paralyzed looking face on my vacation. I gave them 6 months to make it right and crickets. In my experience with a more reputable place: you should always see the product in a sealed container before allowing the injections.

During the appointment, extensive extractions were performed without any clear discussion that they would be added as an additional service or incur an extra $40 charge. I had never even heard of extensive extractions. I asked the owner Annette, for an invoice and was surprised to see the added charges. The next day I woke up with significant scabbing and lingering marks that extended beyond the original blemishes I came in with. You could actually see her literal nail marks scabbing (see pictures) Over a week later, I am still dealing with visible marks from the treatment. What has been most frustrating is the way this was handled afterward. The business acknowledged that communication surrounding the extractions "could have been handled better" and initially offered the $40 as a future credit, yet later refused any reimbursement once I requested a partial refund instead of another service. Annette even went as far as saying that the fresh nail marks and trauma she inflicted on my face was already there prior. There was also confusion regarding taxes charged on my invoice that was later described as a "system error." I also want to clarify that although the tax was refunded, it was not proactively issued when the error occurred, but only after I followed up about it again later. Similarly, aftercare instructions were not initially provided after the appointment and were only sent after I reached out with concerns regarding my skin's reaction. I would strongly encourage clients to carefully review their receipts and ask questions about any add-on services before treatment begins. Annette didn't check in on me once after I shared my concerns. I made multiple attempts to resolve this privately, respectfully and fairly because I genuinely did not want to leave a negative review but I am compelled to share so others are aware of the type of business this is. Unfortunately, after spending approximately $245 including tip, I was left with lingering facial marks and no meaningful resolution. I understand every skin type reacts differently, but clients also deserve clear communication, informed consent regarding additional services and charges, accountability, and proper follow-up when concerns are raised.
