I loved coming here for the first time. The place is very clean and nice. I loved the staff. Manjeet who did my hair was amazing for full root touch up (ammonia free), layered hair cut, full blow out, hair straightening and ensuing my layers were fine. I loved it. She did an exceptional job as it was because I ma going to a wedding and want to look great. I will definitely come again. They were very helpful, nice, I also loved that I got super tasty chai. Shipra was super nice, accommodating, helpful and very knowledgeable. I will come again for other services as well. I highly recommend going here for a fantastic salon services!! :) read more

Disappointed because I came during open hours on a Friday (11:30) and it was closed, even though the posted hours say it should be open. The other location I've gone to a bunch but was in the area and drove to this location because it was closer to where I was. Just change your hours and it's no big deal, but disappointed that the posted hours are wrong. read more

I came by unexpectedly and without an appointment on a Wednesday afternoon and struggled to find parking. I drove around several times but still couldn't figure it out. Finally I called and they instructed me how to get to the back for parking. Once I finally parked, I walked up the stairs and into the salon - cutest eyebrow salon ever! The woman who did my eyebrows was friendly and did a quick and great job. I was satisfied and left. When I got to my car, took my mask off, and checked my eyebrows in the mirror, I realized I wanted just a little bit more shaping and clean up. So I walked back in and she happily agreed and completed what I asked. I received so many compliments that evening on my eyebrows - more than ever before! Post-pandemic I was looking for a hair removal place that had quality work, fast response for appointments, and great value. So happy to find it close by. I have been going to their first location on Rosewood and they just opened this location in downtown Pleasanton. I called a few days ago for a last minute appointment and was notified by Shirpa that they had just opened this location a few days before. Their official grand opening was today and she was gracious enough to invite me. I got a great deal on a facial and they usually have specials going on. They also offer other services such as threading, waxing, eyelash, makeup, tinting, and henna. Work: They do a great job with threading my eyebrows and are super fast, but precise. I've actually gotten compliments on my eyebrows from friends who had microblading done. The waxing is very thorough also. Super reasonable pricing! Customer service: very friendly and easy to get appointments when I want. They're busy, but have never had to wait. I always call ahead just in case, but they also take walk-ins. I'm so happy that they have two great locations in Pleasanton with nearby shopping and restaurants. Plenty of parking at both. Don't hesitate to call or make an appointment! read more

I love the new Salon on Ray street. It is super cute inside and clean. I also got a tour of the additional rooms for facial and waxing. Shipra is the owner. She is super smart business owner --- always offers additional services, but never over pressures. and she LISTENS!!!!!! She also has magic fingers-- her threading never hurts-- even with the upper lip. I've been to some folks where I'm enough pain where I let out a few tears. This new location is in downtown. The trick is to park behind the Main Street Brewery in the back parking lot. read more

I'm literally sitting in my car crying as I type this review. I walked in and sat down and waited for my eyebrow threading. I overheard the person telling the eyebrow stylist that her eyebrows were thinner than she wanted but she paid and walked out. I was hesitant but proceeded to get my eyebrows done. I specifically told her that I have been growing my eyebrows out for years and all I wanted was a shape up and please do not make them too thin. After she finished I looked in the mirror and truly, this is the worst I have ever felt after getting my eyebrows done in YEARS. SHE TOOK OFF ALL OF MY EYEBROW HAIR MADE IT AS THIN AS A PENCIL. Whoever was working the eyebrow threading on April 24 at 12 o'clock. I would avoid at all costs. read more

I got a facial back in May and I got burnt because the steamer leaked on my chest area . At the time I did not think much of it because I did not feel much but i was charged full price and found out later I had a scar. I called them months later to tell them what happened and they offered a free facial or free eyebrow threadings but that doesn't help anything so I just decided to let it go. I have tried to move on but I am just not happy this happened at all . I got scared of facials after that . Though , they lost my services because I will never go here again ! My best friend was looking for a local place in town to get threaded before her wedding so I jumped on Yelp and found JJ's! Shipra the owner was SO communicative via text before my appointment and made sure I knew where to go and park (behind Main St Brewery). When I arrived at the beautiful Victorian home that JJ's has renovated for their salon, Dipali greeted me with great customer service! She was so welcoming and knowledgeable about threading and facials. I got my full face and neck threaded while we chatted away. My face was fairly warm and red after threading (I'm not a regular) so Dipali recommended a cooling facial and diamond mask to make my skin glow (and boy did it GLOW afterwards!!) The masks felt so nice as I relaxed. Only recommendation is to add some gentle spa music and their salon will for sure be my new fav place to treat myself to self care! JJ's new location at 357 Ray St is so convenient for folks who live close to downtown! I can't wait to go back for another great facial and touch up threading by Dipali! read more

I love JJ's threading salon and have been coming to their location for years but this newer location hasn't been reliable whatsoever. I have showed up at least 3 different times when the hours were listed as open and once I got to the door there was a closed sign posted. I don't mind driving the few extra miles to the other location but it is pretty frustrating when I am trying to be in and out since the new location is closer to where I live. Overall I would love to see accurate hours posted that way I am not showing up when no one is there. Editing review! read more
