Jairo and Kellyn are such hard working and honest people. When we had our initial appointment, Kellyn did a great job to understand our overall vision. She helped us by asking questions and offering several paint selections that would suit our taste. In the end, I bought several samples and tried on my own. In the end, I chose the one that Kellyn initially suggested!! This is a very hard working husband/wife company and the team they brought to the house to complete the work were very respectful and their work were very detailed. Kellyn is very sweet and would check in on the progress daily and send me texts so I was informed about what would happen the next day. JK Painting painted my interior as well as the kitchen cabinets and island. The team worked very hard, led by Jairo. The guys were pleasant and cleaned up after each day. My house and cabinets are beautiful! I am so happy! I highly recommend this team. They came in a bit lower than some of the other estimates, but their quality, timeliness and attention to detail is unmatched! Feel free to reach out to me for before and after pictures. I am so proud to support a local husband and wife team who understand that quality work, transparency and a personal touch is invaluable! And that by pleasing customers this will result in future work. Great team! Great company! Happy to provide my review. I highly recommend! read more

We are excited to review JK Custom Painting! We hired them to paint our whole house's interior right after we finished our new floors. They did a magnificent job preserving the pristine status of the floors and the quality of their job is top notch. Kellyn was kind and helpful in thinking through colors with us, suggesting colors that would match the floor and coordinate with each other. Jairo's attention to detail left the house in the best shape it has been since we bought it. He pointed out little things that needed fixing that we forgot to point out to them, and he found things we had missed and fixed them too. The transitions from wall to ceiling and wall to trim are perfect...to the point that is mind-boggling how they did so much, so well, and so fast. We loved how responsible they were, how they took such care, and how they stuck to their timeline. This was a wonderful experience and we will definitely hire them again when we are ready to paint the kitchen cabinets or exterior of the house. Our neighbor has already requested their contact info for her house after seeing our place. Honestly, we can't recommend them enough! read more

Not only is this company vary prompt in their responses, but they were willing to work on a weekend so that I didn't have to go out of office at my job just to let them in the house. With 11 years of experience under their belt, they were able to repaint my entire house to the color scheme that I selected. They covered up holes, scrapes, and scuffs from shoes with the painting they did. Best of all, just as I thought there were some tiny details that they missed, they went back and touched up every part of the house. That's what you call going above and beyond! Not a single detail was missed, and not a single question was left unanswered. If you live close to the Raleigh/Durham area and you need your house painted, this is the company you need to hire for the job. I have not a single worry about the job they did, because they exceeded my expectations! read more

I used this company last summer to paint the outside trim of my house and clean my gutters. They were prompt, courteous and did a fantastic job. I planned to interview someone else but decided to cancel after the other man took too long to provide a quote. Great decision on my part. Job site was spotless at the end of each day. Photos of problem areas (rotten wood) were provided. Plan was discussed in detail. Price was reasonable. I have learned that you get what you pay for, and JK Custom came through for me. If fact, I asked them to come back and rescreen an outdoor porch for me. They removed all the trim, replaced the screens and repainted where needed. Again, price was worth it. I can recommend them without reservation. Super team...I will definitely use them again. read more

This Company is absolutely Top Notch from start to finish. I hired them to paint the exterior of my home and they really did Great work. I am very pleased with their attention to the details of the project. As an example of this was the color of the house. Kellyn and Jairo spent a great deal of time and effort making sure the color was exactly what I wanted. Additionally, there was an area around the side of the house where the drainage from the roof over time had caused damage to the siding. They informed me of the problem and replaced the siding and fixed the drainage issue perfectly and at a fair price. I would highly recommend them. They take pride in the work they do which is hard to find in this day and age. read more

I interviewed several painters for this job and I am very pleased with my choice. There was a stain on the ceiling and damage to the Sheetrock in my master bath. Jairo made all of that disappear and I ended up with a perfect ceiling and beautiful color on the walls. Jairo and Kellynn are a pleasure to work with. They were very professional in their explanation of the job and the thoroughness of the details : paperwork was clear and prompt. Jairo arrived exactly on time and worked until the job was completed. The clean up was thorough and the price was reasonable compared to the other quotes. I would hire them again. KM Durham read more

Jairo, Kellyn, and team did a great job working on the exterior of our home. They power washed the house, driveway, and stone patio. They also painted all of the trim, windows, and downspouts and made all necessary repairs where there was weather rot or other damage. We added a couple of additional items (including varnishing a wood ceiling) and the team provide great feedback on the different options to complete the requested tasks. The team works very efficiently and they did a fantastic job of cleaning up after the project was completed. I would highly recommend this group for any painting or cleaning project. read more

We were absolutely delighted by our experience with JK Custom Painting. Kellyn, who manages the business side, was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Her husband, Jairo, who is the painter, did a superb job of painting our trim, some walls and some ceilings, with his crew. They were considerate and neat. They even fixed the paint job that was later damaged by carpet installers without asking for anything in return, because they felt badly for us. I highly recommend this company! read more

JK Custom Painting did a great job in painting my bathroom. They were quick to respond and set up a time to meet with me to go over what needed to be completed- and they were able to complete the job promptly and with quality. I had a section of my bathroom wall that needed a repair along with painting, and JK did a great job of smoothing the area and giving it a smooth and fresh look. I will call them for future paint jobs in my home and highly recommend them. read more

Finally found a paint crew I feel confident in calling back again and again. I went above what was expected to make the paint job was satisfactory. There was a problem with the paint I asked them to use. They normally use SW, but SW didn't have the color we needed. So, I found the color at HD. They had to put 4 coats of the HD paint on to get the coverage the SW paint provides in just 2 coats. No extra charge. Next time I'll go with their suggestions. read more

Excellent crew! Jairo and William did a fantastic job removing our popcorn ceilings -- a very messy job, but they took every precaution to protect our house. They replied right away to my inquiry, and Kellyn came with Jairo to give us their estimate -- which was less than others we received. Plus, the guys were very conscientious about wearing masks around our house during Covid. We will definitely use them again for any future painting projects. read more

Kellyn and her team were incredible! Kellyn was so wonderful during the estimate process and checking in throughout the entire job. We had the team paint many rooms and they did a fabulous job in one day! The details were great and the team was super friendly. The best part was that they were so helpful with figuring out our budget. They helped us stay within our budget without compromising quality. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Excellent service, affordable, reliable, and quality work! JK Painting did an amazing job on two condo units of mine in Carrboro, NC. They are a small team, but are efficient, provided the best customer service and best value in my opinion. JK consulted and reviewed the job via phone and provided finished photos while performing the job while I was away out of town during the COVID-19 . So pleased that I found JK!! read more

I cannot begin to say enough about this company. I have nothing but praise about how they conduct business to the quality of the work. They painted my kitchen cabinets from wood to white and painted walls and trim on about 75% of my house. They were always quick to respond, were there when they said, in and out very quickly and just a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again. read more

I needed to stain my deck. JK Custom Painting was great about coming coming over to estimate the job while also thoroughly explaining the different options regarding the types of stain in layman's terms. Equally importantly, they were prompt both with starting and completing the job, which is all too rare these days. Glad I found them as they will definitely get my call for all future painting needs. read more
