The pictures will show many of the major errors. We had a bathroom renovation done by Mimmo and his crew in March of '23. Although tile choices etc were made by me there was never a discussion on a curbless shower install, no mention of it ever. The only drawings we received were of the cabinet design. However, a curbless shower was installed by Cantu in a second floor bathroom above our entry way. During install, even his tile guys were concerned about it but I was told it was too late to make changes and we would love it. From the minute the work was complete and the shower was in use, within seconds, the water not only accumulated in the shower due to lack of shower pitch, but it overflowed out of the shower and onto the main bathroom floor. This is a small single bathroom. Had the water remained on for the duration of a shower it would have run into the bedroom, carpeting and ultimately leak into the areas below. Mimmo returned twice and attempted to remove some floor pan tile and shave down the concrete to correct the pitch problem but also told me that this was to be expected and there was actually nothing wrong with it. And, I feel it's important to mention that the pitch issue cannot be blamed on his workers doing an incorrect install, as Mimmo was the only one "allowed"to pour and pitch the shower pan/floor. We were concerned and felt it was necessary to call in a different contractor for a second opinion. We were told that the pitch was not at plumbing standards (1/4 inch per linear foot) and, if it was not repaired, we would have long-time water issues due to the bathroom being located on the second floor above our main entry. Mimmo was highly offended by the fact that we had another contractor inspect his work and yelled at us on the phone. We requested a redo with a shower curb and he refused but said he would remove the tile and attempt to re slope the pan the shower. He said a curb could not be placed. Our trust was completely gone. We requested $5K refund, which was about 22% of what we had paid. This refund wouldn't even cover the price of the tile we would need to purchase for a new contractor but we felt it was just a good faith offer so we could all move on.Obviously that didn't happen. To our horror, here are the findings of the new contractor. From what we thought was only a pitch problem was a complete screw up. Yes, the shower pitch was off but also the huge glass doors were hung on plastic anchors into the drywall instead of into a stud (meaning at some point these huge glass doors could pull out of the wall and perhaps kill someone). The drain of the shower was incorrectly placed, the waterproofing was not installed correctly or adequately and, in addition, the tile was adhered directly to the waterproofing material. From a professional standpoint, there was shadowing on all the tile (meaning it wasn't placed smoothly in a professional manner), and the mudding on the walls was so excessive that there were huge curves on our originally straight walls. We hoped that would be it, but in addition, we found that two weight bearing studs had been cut through in order to place a niche! We had chosen a pre-made niche for install but Mimi's guys told me he never used them as they were too expensive. Instead he custom makes each one to save money. The cut out he made for the niche through two study was not supported, meaning after use and time it would have sunk, leaked and needed to be redone. In other words the entire shower install was done incorrectly from beginning to end. Waterproofing, pan pitch, glass door install, tile work, drain, and niche build out! If you decide to move forward with Cantu, know your bathroom may look pretty ...just hope and pray that you move out before the entire reno completely fails and you find out how the job was really done behind the walls!

He left not even offering to provide other options in layouts or saying he would think about other options. I felt it was all about them making as much money as possible ($40-50,000) was stated. I should just have lit a match to the $50.00 consultation fee because it was the worst money I ever spent.

We made arrangements for his team to start on our floors the day we left for a weeklong family vacation, which was so convenient. We had been on the road for just a few hours when he texted me with some very troubling photos of what he found underneath the carpet. I was horrified and dreading the discussion of next steps, but Arianit clearly explained our options and the prices for each option. We ultimately chose to repair/replace the damaged wood and the added cost was very reasonable. Throughout the process, Arianit sent us photos of the progress his team was making and kept us updated as the timeline changed with the added repairs. I could tell even before we got home to see the floors in person that we had made the right choice. When we did get home, I was not disappointed at all. Our floors are beautiful and I can't stop looking at them, even five days later. After checking various…read moretypes of tile and carpet types in the large businesses we saw a wood look inlay that our daughters builder had purchased from the tile shop. We looked at several available products available at the shop and decided on a clip together tile that the shop would install. The owner stopped in to measure an also offered to cover a limestone step into the addition with the tile. The finished job was not the cheapest product we had seen but the professionalism in the total purchase and installation of the flooring is one of the best values we have acquired in many years. We are extremely pleased with the look and the obvious quality of the tile. Thanks David. Good to know we still have quality products and installation still available when you look for it.

So the Tile Stop is an incredible selection of just about any kind of Tile you can think of, but…read moreman -- customer service is quite low on their priority list. I came in with an obscure color and size of tile from a broken bathroom and they matched it up rather quickly. We ordered what we thought was the right color in the right finish, and it was ordered within minutes, shipped in two days. The only problem was that it differed with the sample that we agreed on. Now I only have a bachelor's degree, and Lord knows I've never worked at a tile shop before, but the man patronized me for having the audacity to try to order the correct tile. On the receipt, Tile Stop had the right number, but had the wrong name, and we probably argued about the stupid $7 worth of tile for about twenty minutes until his coworker came in and said, "Let's try to make the customer happy. He's probably wrong and I'd put money on that, but worse comes to worse he'll have twice as much of the wrong tile." And I reluctantly agreed, but it was too late to call their distributor for the random tile. So they said they'd call the next day. About two weeks later I had assumed they either forgot or didn't want to order it again. So I called The Tile Stop and they, indeed, had no recollection of the reorder... So, I paid twice as much for the right tile and shipping with their distributor (Beaver Glass and Tile) 40+ miles away and guess what? I was correct. Who knew the customer could be even occasionally right? Wouldn't go with them again outside of convenience to match the tile. Incompetence aside, no customer should feel attacked for wanting to get a product. In fact, I would put money on the fact that they still have the wrong style of tile somewhere waiting for someone to pick it up. Maybe I'm an isolated case, but maybe not. Happy hunting!

I have contacted them about the warranty and company failed to respond even after a certified letter. We have video and photo evidence that shows complete damage to our property, even after they attempted to resolve an issue. The Flooring Company sent out a cleaning crew and painter to attempt to resolve some issue, which ultimately failed. There are numerous soft spots throughout the floors, confirmed by numerous contractors after installation. We aren't asking for perfection but a professional job after spending over $25,000 for flooring. Your business practices we have experienced has been deceptive and unprofessional. UPDATE: Owner sent me an email asking to remove my bad review or he will pursue legal action. Watch out! Deceitful! The photos reflect the condition of which The Flooring Company LLC left my property in after they completed the job. I had to complain and push to get a cleaning crew which was ineffective (I had to spend $400 to get a cleaning crew to come out after The Flooring Company LLC's cleaning crew "cleaned" the property). Additionally, The Flooring Company LLC hired a painter to patch the damage to my walls, which did a poor job. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional company. I'm looking forward to The Flooring Company LLC to post the final images and videos of their flooring at my property--which would be downright embarrassing for their company. I had 4 quotes total and these guys had the best price by far and they were rated highly on YELP. So I gave them the order. The workers worked neatly and efficiently. When i inspected the work after they left for the day, I found 3 minor issues to be fixed. I took pictures of them and sent them to the saleslady, Malak. The workers came back the next day and repaired them to my satisfaction. I wanted to rearrange some of the furniture and the workers were happy to so. Martin made sure the style matched the other windows and got the job done well within budget. We were so happy with the work that we asked him to replace all the 12 windows throughout the rest of the house as well. We also got 2 bathrooms and one powder room remodeled and got the kitchen redesigned including new cabinets, flooring, backsplash, insert lights, under cabinet lights and pendant lights. The reason I recommend Martin is that he works with your budget and your design. Very transparent about pricing as well, for instance he has receipts for all raw materials so you can be assured of what's been used. The other big thing about Martin is his projects are turnkey, he addresses any associated issues that come up during the project (trust me, there is always something unplanned that comes up that needs fixing) and is very reasonable with pricing. E.g. when we did the flooring, we found the floor boards were squeaky and some needed replacement, he address all the issues promptly, fixed up the gradient - unlike some other big companies that don't do any extra work in spite of charging boat loads of money.
