Two bedrooms, oversized living room, entryway, long long hallway and a bathroom. He's a perfectionist and his crew does beautiful work that pays attention to the details. He shows his value by insisting that all sketchy surface areas be skim-coated before being painted, and that at least two coats be applied to all surfaces. The trim on our several pairs of French doors is perfect. Cleanup is complete, and his crew works hard to minimize disruption. When his painters have completed their tasks, he inspects all their work to ensure it meets his high standards and he has on more than one occasion pulled out a brush at the last minute to fix some tiny flaw he detected. He is also very creative and open to new ideas and paint types and techniques. His prices, while quite reasonable, are higher than your average paint crew but you get what you pay for. For both jobs, I ended up paying him extra based on the services he provided in excess of what was minimally required.

The overall job took four months to complete - and this was no complicated venture. It involved all of the rooms the same color, with trim - nothing fancy. This is also after we struck a much needed sunporch touch up from the job simply because we just wanted them out of our house by the end of the harrowing process. The biggest issue has been the bathroom. They painted and claimed it finished THREE times, and still - four days after each time - the paint began to chip and fall off the walls. They claimed (after the fact, not before) that it was due to the walls being plaster and that we would have to REPLACE THE WALLS. Which, as a homeowner, I'm sure you can imagine sounds ridiculous. You would think that with "30 years experience" in a town like Summit, laden with historic homes, this company would have cracked the code to painting a 10 square foot bathroom with plaster walls. After a week of the final job being deemed "finished" our bathroom is currently peeling again - so it seems not. We are going to have to hire another company. On top of doing a terrible job, they were inconsistent with timing - we never knew when they were going to arrive and sometimes were at our house late in the morning and well into when we were coming home from work which was a major inconvenience. They left paint dust debris all over our house along with giant primer stains all over our yard. Do not use this company - they were a waste of money after four months of "work" and the job still did not get completed. They displayed deplorable workmanship and we fully regret letting them have the job after interviewing several other companies for the job.
