Very impressive. We were swimming in their outside pool this weekend with 20+ lanes. You could see all perfectly from the stands and a nice cool breeze blows over the trees while you watch. Plenty of room to spread out. The meet ran a little longer than anticipated, so I would recommend the meet organizer allows more time in their schedule or reduce the number of 10 minute breaks between events. Otherwise, everything else was great. I look forward to my kids swimming there again. Definitely worth the drive to San Antonio for a swim meet.

In the beginning they were much more accommodating and helpful but I think eventually took our business for granted. We are in a newly remodeled home but the pool is older. They never showed us how to properly use our Pentair system (that they installed) after several requests. Weekly cleaning was good but the owner left the tech to do his "dirty work" and tell us our repairs were delayed week after week, for months, more than once. The excuse was a broken truck. For months. When they returned our vac after we discontinued our service, they had had it for a month. We had requested repairs for two months prior to them picking it up. Our pool was without a vacuum in the height of pollen season and looks awful. The (admittedly older) vacuum was not repaired AND had a newly broken wheel. The new service we hired tested the water and said our chlorine was extremely high and the acid was almost to the point we'd have to drain the pool and refill. On top of this, I would very professionally contact owner and he would respond to my husband. We really tried with these guys, gave them 10 mos. They were overpriced and did not deliver on the most basic of requests. Hopefully they read this and do better for their customers in the future.

We were quoted $250 a month for them to come weekly and only saw the guy come every other week for a maintenance cleaning. When we finally fired him it was because we didn't see him for three weeks straight and no communication at all of why. Don't even waste your time by looking into this place. Move on to the next company.

We only went for the classes anyways bc the gym floor was always so crowded for my husband in terms of weight lifting, he still held on to his golds membership to go work out there in parallel when we were members. They offered us $20 a month off to return and we probably will not take them up on that. This might be a good option for some but for us it's too far of a drive for not enough benefit. Classes are too large, too crowded overall, they have some temperature control issues in the barre studio (sometimes I froze my butt off when it's less than 70 degrees outside) also in terms of cleanliness I asked how often they cleaned the Pilates balls in the studio and they said they didn't! So if you're taking a class in the studio make sure to also wipe down the Pilates ball (I always did, and my weights) While there were standout instructors and staff that we absolutely loved, it doesn't outweigh the issues -- Roxanne is a fantastic barre instructor, and we loved Shelley, Toni and Mingxia. We also loved Michael R. But they cancelled the class we used to take with him that we loved so much. We also really loved Danny who was frequently at the front desk. I truly hope they are able to improve in the future, so that they can thrive.

This review will focus on Dellview Swimming Pool and what sets it apart from other city swimming pools. As with most city pools, you are required to sign in at the front desk with name, age group, and gender. These roles help the parks department obtain funding to continue operation of the pools, so it is very important to sign in. Dellview Pool is my favorite out of all the free city pools. We drive across town from the East Side to go there at least once a week. It's layout of just about the same as the one at South Side Lions Park including the diving board. The staff and lifeguards are friendly (even if the lifeguards exhibit typical teenage behavior a lot of the time) and experienced. My daughter was trapped between the diving board and the platform last summer after slipping, and the whole team rushed to help her, and we were able to rescue without injury. The pool has a modern pump system, changing rooms and a covered patio to wait out the hourly pH level breaks. This location also has a toddler splash pool which is nice if you have little ones. The water is always refreshing. It does get a little crowded here on weekends and holidays, especially if the diving board is open. The diving board is opened every half hour for a half hour. They split the time pretty evenly since it is so popular. The pool runs from 3ft to 11ft. Maybe it's just me, but this pool always seems a lot brighter and I need to wear sunglasses when I'm there. It's a nice place.

Some things to know if you're going for the first time: no goggles that cover your nose, no water guns, no big inflatables. Children can wear goggles that don't cover their nose and use life jackets/puddle jumpers if needed. At the top of the hour there is a mandatory pool break for 15 minutes. Great experience, but know they do stick to the rules so there is no trouble.

However, it all pales in comparison to the obnoxiously loud music playing on overhead speakers. Since many of the people working out have their own devices playing their own sounds, I am not sure what the intent of the music is.

These roles help the parks department obtain funding to continue operation of the pools, so it is very important to sign in. Roosevelt Pool is a throwpack to 1950's pool design. Larger than most city pools, Roosevelt also is kidney shaped with several rows of concrete bleachers. This is one of the more popular pools and there are always dozens of people in the water, especially at the shallow end. It can get very crowded in the shallow area on weekends and holidays. The depth ranges from 3ft to about 10ft. There is usually ample room for swimming laps although the pool sides in the deep end can become crowded with teenagers, and we all know how they can be. Although it is a bigger pool, parking is limited, and you may find yourself waiting or walking up a stretch of hill to the entrance. There are male and female changing rooms that double as bathrooms. Roosevelt Pool is feeling its age, and you will want to be careful not to cut yourself on the rough cracks on the walls and floor of the pool. They hurt! The pool has a small waterslide for the kids, but they rarely open it up all season. Not sure why, but they just don't seem to like to. The manager for this pool is not the friendliest, and that attitude is passed along to the lifeguards who can be surly but are generally nice. Fruit and water are allowed in the pool area, but no other food. They have hourly or bi-hourly breaks for pH leveling, and you will spend between 20-30 minutes of time out of the water per break. The concrete can be very hot and shade is limited.

They also offer diving and swimming lessons, as well as a big area to just play in. I went to the Aquatic Center with a large group of teenagers that I was supervising and I was surprised at how assertive the staff were. They must have experience with unruly teenagers dive bombing off of the bleachers, because they were non too friendly while explaining the rules. Fortunately, the kids were so excited to be able to swim that they didn't mind sitting through a 15 -minute lecture. After that was over, the lady reluctantly released our group to get ready and jump in. The dressing rooms are fine, nothing special, but they do have that weird odor that comes from stagnant water sitting on the floor. I desperately attempted not to think about athlete's feet and other fungi while getting ready. They do have those cool machines that dry your swimming suits though, so that is a plus. I was excited to swim laps and dive, while most of the kids just enjoyed the recreational area. The Aquatic Center has pretty limited hours for family swim time (mostly just on weekends from 1 to 5 p.m. but with extended hours in the summer), but if you are interested in swimming laps, you'll have more options. This place isn't really fancy, but it definitely gets the job done. You can visit for only $4 or get a 16 visit punch card for $36 online. That's a great price, better than you will find most anywhere else. So if you want to get a few pounds from your waist but not your wallet, The Aquatic Center is your place.

The exhibits: wow, SO much variety! It's basically 2 stories, downstairs is the main floor area, and options! When you first enter, there's giant toy puzzles shaped as gears, then another room that takes you to a full on pretend city arena where there's little tykes cars for these kids to drive around in this pretend city, a HEB store front, airplane simulation, trolley, car wash, vet office, etc. so fun for these kids! Then another room where there's instruments like a giant piano and other fun things for kids to explore. Outside, there are 2 areas, one is a bubble play area to explore ways to play with bubbles in SO many different ways. Another outside area, playground with a giant slide, water play area with boats and things that you can imagine with water. For over stimulated kiddos, there's a room downstairs that's called a "calming room" where it's much quieter than out in the open if you need time to decompress from the chaos. Upstairs, there's a pretend to play with tools and right next to it and where you can assemble flowers. Now food wise, there's a Café Bakery Lorraine downstairs which include their macaroons, sandwiches, snack platter, crossiants, etc. It's a little pricey, but at least it's good! You are allowed to bring snacks, water inside, but not outside food like actual meals. Parking: it's free and first come first served out in the front area. Overall, we'll be back since we're now members! Excited to keep taking the kids here as there is so much to do here!

They have a good number of waterslides here as well as having all of them be completely different from the next one definitely the highlight of the slides has to be Thunder Rapids Water Coaster as it's the first of its kind in North America and wow is it fun I've never ridden a slide like this before and I found it to be super fun as well as Wet and totally unique to anything I've ever experienced before as the technology that created this is totally rad and a great way to knock out those huge stair cases! The ground here can get super hot I mean super hot and that's coming from me someone who's always barefoot at waterparks so make sure you bring some sandals or something to keep your feet cool from the burning cement or just try to walk in the shade and water spots to keep them from burning! As anyone who visits waterparks will tell you coming to one can be a great workout as well as a rewarding time as your climbing lots of staircases and getting some swim action in if you choose to do that wile your inside their huge State Of Texas shaped wave pool. The waterpark opened a bit later than the park but it was all good as it was super hot by then and this was much needed the best part about this is that Gold Pass members can get into the Water Park 10 min early so that will definitely save you a bit of time and get you on a few more slides! Overall I really enjoyed my time here at the waterpark as all the slides were fun and I thought it was cool that their wave pool had its unique Texas shape to it as it made for some fun waves and splashes! Words cannot express how satisfied we are with our pool building experience. Builds and/or…read morerenovations can be stressful, but they made the entire process easier. This wonderful company is owned by 2 brothers, who I jokingly refer to as the pool "Property Brothers". My husband did his research, we met with other pool companies and had a total of 3 different designs. Another pool company made us feel rushed and not heard during our design meeting, this was evident when they kept trying to push a standard "Lima bean" pool shape with limestone rather than what we had in mind. They were thorough with their explanation of the pool building process and receptive of our design vision. Our vision was ultimately a pool with clean lines that would be the focal point in our backyard. They were always just a text or phone call away and real went above and beyond. When the landscaping company we hired didn't complete a couple of small things in time, Davis took it upon himself to help us out. He was very hands on, showing up daily during majority of the build and would always get his hands dirty too! Currently, our pool is filled, we are waiting on the plaster to cure and will be swimming soon! Thank you so much for everything!

The sales process led by Kim and Parker was exceptional and made our decision to move forward an…read moreeasy one. They were extremely thorough, providing a wealth of information that made us feel confident throughout the planning phase. Their communication during the installation process was also excellent. From start to finish, the project took approximately 12 weeks, and we were very satisfied with the progress up to completion. However, after the pool was filled and the system was running, I was left unsure about next steps and was waiting for "Pool School" to be scheduled. After a week without any communication, I reached out to Davis but did not receive a response. Another week passed with no update. I then contacted Parker directly, & expressed my dissatisfaction and from that point on, he was very responsive and helpful. He scheduled a time to meet and provided all the necessary information. He was apologetic and made a clear effort to make things right. Unfortunately, we did run into a few issues during and after the install. Our sprinkler line and buried outdoor lighting cable were damaged during the process. While Parker explained that repairs were not covered under the contract, which we understood due to contract reflecting, we had to hire someone at our own expense to fix them. As a goodwill gesture, Parker installed an automatic fill system for the pool, which we appreciated. However, during the installation of the fill system, our sprinkler line was damaged again, leading to another unexpected repair at our cost--bringing our total to around $550 in out-of-pocket expenses. I feel this is something Premiere & other pool companies should review & reconsider. Despite these setbacks, we still believe Premier Pools is a great company. The overall quality of the pool, the sales and installation experience, and Parker's willingness to take ownership of issues make them a company we would choose again without hesitation.

It is one of several public swimming pools run by San Antonio Parks and Rec. All outdoor public swimming pools run by the city are free to all, open six days a week throughout the summer swimming season, and follow very similar rules and protocol. This review will focus on Fairchild Swimming Pool and what sets it apart from other city swimming pools. As with most city pools, you are required to sign in at the front desk with name, age group, and gender. These roles help the parks department obtain funding to continue operation of the pools, so it is very important to sign in. A family favorite, and not just because it was the closest to our home. Fairchild Pool has had consistent and mature staff over the past few seasons so the lifeguards are no greenhorns to the job. To pool is fairly basic and a short walking distance from the parking lot, but your car remains in sight which can be important in this area. Fairchild Pool has a large shallow swimming area and a decent sized deep area ranging from 3ft to 9ft. This pool used to have a diving board but it was removed after a tragic accident during the 2017 season. The good that came out of it is the pool was completely renovated over the spring in 2018 with new pump equipment and a pool lift, making this one of the more fresh feeling pools to swim in. It can be incredibly refreshing to dive in after a long day. Fairchild Pool is one of a handful a pools not running at the normal 1pm to 7pm hours, it opens at 2pm and runs until 8pm. the entire pool is surrounded by concrete which can become blisteringly hot in the summer. Be warned. The west side of the pool has decent tree coverage for the bi-hourly swimming breaks times for the pool pH to settle. Food is not allowed, although you may bring drinking water. There are both Men's and Women's bathrooms with a small dressing area, and a shower off area near the pool entrance. Radios seem pretty well tolerated here, and someone is usually rocking music at either side of the pool. Fairchild Pool is rarely busy as Lincoln Pool is just up the street, so there is always ample room to play or swim laps. The southeast corner of the pool does have a problem with wasps every now and then, but it's not too bad. Interesting tidbit, from the south side of the pool, you can see the Mass Grave of Alamo Defenders in the Oddfellow Cemetery.

It is one of several public swimming pools run by San Antonio Parks and Rec. All outdoor public swimming pools run by the city are free to all, open six days a week throughout the summer swimming season, and follow very similar rules and protocol. This review will focus on Concepcion Swimming Pool and what sets it apart from other city swimming pools. As with most city pools, you are required to sign in at the front desk with name, age group, and gender. These roles help the parks department obtain funding to continue operation of the pools, so it is very important to sign in. Concepcion Pool is a moderate sized pool. Unlike some of the other pools, this pool does not have a diving board or water slide. It's a moderate sized pool running from 3ft to 9ft deep, most of which is on the shallower side. Great pool for the kids. If you're looking for something deeper or larger, Roosevelt Pool is only five minutes away. I always see tons of families at Concepcion Pool with lots of little kids. The staff and lifeguards are friendly and talkative. Parking is never a problem, and thanks to the surrounding park, there are picnic tables and grills to use if you want to spend an afternoon, though note only water is allowed in the pool area. The pool is partially shaded in afternoons. I have noticed, the chlorine content is a little higher here, and have had to leave because of breathing issues and itchy eyes, so keep an eye on you and your kids while at this pool.

When I left for the day I did leave them with smiles. I was AMAZED at how this pool is FREE this year (2016)! FREE, FREE, FREE! As well as being free, Tuesdays thru Fridays from 1:30pm-2:30pm they offer FREE MEALS to children 18 and under to help those who may be struggling without the assistance of school lunch programs during the summer. They do NOT allow any type of flotation devices even for children. They do have at least 2-3 lifeguards on duty at all time. The best time to go would be right when they open at 1:00pm or by 2:00pm during the week. Around 4:00pm the pool fills up very quickly but because it is such a large pool, you will have plenty of room to swim and have fun. Parking is sparce as the other park visitors take up most of the parking but you can park all along the sides of Theo Parkway (but not recommended to park inside bike lanes).

They also offer diving and swimming lessons, as well as a big area to just play in. I went to the Aquatic Center with a large group of teenagers that I was supervising and I was surprised at how assertive the staff were. They must have experience with unruly teenagers dive bombing off of the bleachers, because they were non too friendly while explaining the rules. Fortunately, the kids were so excited to be able to swim that they didn't mind sitting through a 15 -minute lecture. After that was over, the lady reluctantly released our group to get ready and jump in. The dressing rooms are fine, nothing special, but they do have that weird odor that comes from stagnant water sitting on the floor. I desperately attempted not to think about athlete's feet and other fungi while getting ready. They do have those cool machines that dry your swimming suits though, so that is a plus. I was excited to swim laps and dive, while most of the kids just enjoyed the recreational area. The Aquatic Center has pretty limited hours for family swim time (mostly just on weekends from 1 to 5 p.m. but with extended hours in the summer), but if you are interested in swimming laps, you'll have more options. This place isn't really fancy, but it definitely gets the job done. You can visit for only $4 or get a 16 visit punch card for $36 online. That's a great price, better than you will find most anywhere else. So if you want to get a few pounds from your waist but not your wallet, The Aquatic Center is your place.

My baby is 15 months old and a 'Minnow'.He was a little timid of the water at first but the songs they sing and the predictable routines makes completing each lesson a breeze. I'm so glad I decided to bring him here to start his swim journey. This is the first time I was able to see him in action swimming & I sat in the little viewing area.I can't speak to the other instructors but if you are thinking about getting your little one started I would definitely recommend getting your lessons started with Lucy! This is my baby's 5th class, he only goes once a week, and he's already fully submerged in the water & learning to kick underwater on his own.
