We were recommended to use this company and we got in trouble with the IRS because this company lied on our income tax statement by stating that we paid over $20,000 in charity on our tax statement. When we contacted the owner Jackie Morris-Manuel we got no reply at all. We had never had any problems with our taxes and was totally shocked and troubled when we learned she had done this. We are encouraging everyone to please don't get involved with this business because they are scammers and have no ethical or moral commitment. I'm still waiting to hear from them but, I know that will never happen. She should go to jail. read more

If I could give JM Unlimited Tax Services zero stars, I would! Not only do they completely overcharge you ($400 for a very simple electronic filing) but the owner (Miss Jackie) and her people constantly drop the ball. If you have any questions don't expect to get them answered over the phone. The people that answer the phone leave you on hold for long amounts of time. None of Miss Jackie's employees return phone calls, even after several calls in one day. The one time we received a phone call it was from the owner herself at 11pm! She was argumentative and threatened to SUE us for defamation of character if we wrote a bad review for her business. After trying to smooth thing over, she promised to have our return printed out and waiting for us to pick up 2 days later. When we went to pick up the return their system was down (this seems to happen ALL THE TIME and is their go to excuse for everything). When my husband asked to see Miss Jackie she allowed him into her office but had a security guard standing watch. She got defensive and told my husband she was done speaking. Then security guard told him he had to leave, and escorted him out of the building. We will NEVER use JM Unlimited Tax Services again! read more

If I could put zero stars, I would. STEER CLEAR of this place. She was recommended to me so I used her for three years. Now we got a letter from the IRS saying we are being audited for 2015 and owe lots of thousands of dollars! I was so ignorant not to read every page, but I trusted the "professional" doing my taxes. She put an extreme amount of deductions. I can't believe it. Such a burden on me and my family now to have to pay this all back. I don't understand how it's okay for someone to do that. Don't go here unless you are prepared to have your taxes audited and pay the IRS $26,000 because they fraudulently added things to your taxes that you did not claim! I over nighted our taxes since we live 3 hours from Houston and it's been over 2 1/2 weeks now and not one word, any time I've had taxes done before I heard back 3 days at most. I wish there was an option for no stars! PLEASE read the reviews and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We were told that we qualified for Energy Star deductions because of our home we built. They filed our 2017 taxes with the deductions. We received a letter from the IRS that we were being audited. We went to our builder and got all the paperwork to back up the deduction. J&M supposedly look it over and said we would be fine. Got our response letter from the IRS yesterday and we have to pay them 12,900. The reason we used this company was because of a recommendation from a friend. I wish I would've done my research before we used this company. It was a very costly mistake. If you want to be audited and broke, go here to have your taxes filed. We've just been informed that we are being audited for 2015 (same as a previous reviewer) for the lies and deceit that this firm; excuse me back alley office provided in our taxes. It took this year to bring to light that Jackie and her cronies padded my Husband's work expenses and our charitable donations. How in the heck to get reimbursed for 33k miles to work and you don't have a work vehicle and you only live 15-20 minutes away from your job? We love the Lord and tithe on the regular but not $15k which is over 10% in comparison to our income. Lesson learned, review your taxes before signing anything and everything. YOU are held liable, not Jm Unlimited better yet; dirty dogs who did the filing. Even better... Don't give them your service. read more

the worst place to do your taxes. we went there from 2011 - 2015 each year they did our taxes we have been audited and have had to pay back. we got a letter in mail saying we are being audited for 2015 and have to pay back $9k to the irs... come to find out.. she put that we paid over 26k in work boots for my husband in work expenses and over 15k in cash donations. i will never got back! they f'd us here. we have never even received $9k in income money back ever!! and she charged us over $600.00 to screw us over... read more

ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO FILE. I will never use or recommend this terrible place to anybody. They have completely screwed me. I went in to file a month ago, had not received anything, I called and they said someone would get back to me, 2 weeks later I still got nothing. I have been in contact with them mulitple times since and have just gotten the runaround every single time. They put in my personal information WRONG which affected my return, and are now telling me that the fee I was told they were going take for filing is actually about $200 more then I was told. AND that the amount I have ON MY PAPAERWORK is not what I'm going to get back. If I try and look on irs.gov, it's telling me there is no information on my return, but this place is telling me that, 'everything on their end is fine', and it's my problem and I have to call the IRS myself. NEVER AGAIN will I make the horrible mistake of going here. And to anybody thinking of going here, save yourself and your money and DON'T GO! read more

Zero stars! If you plan on getting audited and want to pay the IRS back $2700 then this is the place. I already know of 6 people that had to do this because the preparers make extra claims, in particular "education credits." The customer service is terrible as it takes 3-4 hours to get your taxes done even though you make an appointment. They even tried to take more money from me when I wanted my return to be direct deposited. It took nearly two weeks to get this problem resolved as my phone calls were bounced around.
