I'm with everyone else... Manny is great. I actually had Manny do my roof over a year ago but I figure it takes a year or two to know about a roofing job. For example, I texted him today because I had a very small leak at a skylight... he actually showed up to check on it within an hour or two. And the problem was with a cracked skylight, not the roofing job. (Would I trust all contractors when they tell be that it was not their work that was the problem but rather a problem with the skylight... no, but you tend to trust Manny. He's been straight forward and no BS from the start.) But how's his pricing, you ask. It was a year ago and I don't remember the details but I know that he was not the most expensive and not the cheapest. But, I am pretty sure that if you are comparing quotes and if he IS the most expensive... he might also be the best and that might be money well-spent. My garage roof was leaking for +5 years, I hired 2 different people (1 being a handy family member) to come and do the work paid well over $5000 to have the leaks always come back within a year or less. They had patched the drain access so much the water couldn't not run down drain . We bought our new to us house with a cracked skylight 3 years ago. My husband bought the new skylight and was going to replace it himself but he broke his foot recently and we just wanted to get the skylight installed before fall and winter because the old skylight would always leak. We called several roofers to see if they would replace it for us but couldn't get anyone to come install it until we found JMT Roofing! Jose Manny came out to check out the skylight and came back in the mid afternoon early evening when it was a bit cooler to install the skylight for us. JMT did a fantastic job getting it installed. They even fixed a spot on the roof where the old skylight was leaking. They checked over our roof and said we have about 15 years left on the roof overall minus one spot in the back and gave us a quote on fixing it when we are ready! Very quick and helpful! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. They showed up promptly at the agreed upon time to price the job and then thoroughly inspected the roof and the interior where the new whirlybird vents were to be placed. Even came back to make sure they had the right roof color for the patching they would do. They then gave me a great price, literally 1/2 the labor cost of the next bidder (who did not even come to the property to conduct an estimate) and an astonishing the labor cost of the third outfit that I contacted. For the actual work, the installer showed up on time and very efficiently finished the job in just a few hours. Manny went to my home for a consult and told me he'll give me a quote within a day. I've never received a response after the inspection and he's left me on "read". I thought its because of the holidays which I took in consideration. However, I followed up twice with no response, left on "read". I came to him because of the good reviews and felt confident about it. He has no decency nor courtesy to at least let me know if he's not able to take on the work. I'd understand if that's the case. Companies either declined to consider the work, or came and gave an estimate for a much larger job than we really seemed to need.
