But Bungalow's simplicity and amazing online experience was such a departure from my previous encounters with big insurance agencies, that I'm compelled to write a review! Getting renters insurance is annoying and I held off getting it, putting it lower and lower on my to-do list. But then I heard a horror story of a friend being responsible for 20k of damage to her apartment building after a faucet was left on in the middle of the night, flooding her apartment and causing damage to the ones below. I started to inquire about where to get my insurance from. I couldn't bundle it because I don't own a car, so I wanted a simple policy with no hastle. I asked a couple of colleagues who they used. One said Farmers, but he said that it was an absurd process to get set up, having to talk to an agent on the phone and answer questions for 45 minutes. Another colleague said they got it through a new online agency called Bungalow. She said she did it all online in under 15 min.
