During the process, they decided the plumbing, along with the valves, needed to be reworked. Trusting their "expertise," I agreed--and that's when everything went downhill. I trusted their work and left my home to run errands. The newly installed plumbing failed, flooding the entire bottom floor of my home with about two inches of water. It was a complete disaster when I returned. I had to insist they come back out that same evening to address the issue. They sent a different plumber to get the leak stopped and water back on in my home. When they came out the next day to see the damage, their idea of "cleanup" was two men, a shop vac, a single fan, and two hours of their time--completely inadequate for the amount of damage. Ultimately, I had to call SERVPRO, and it took them a full week and nearly $9,000 to properly clean and mitigate the damage. To make matters worse, Rhymer's Plumbing abandoned their equipment at my house and never returned or even called to check on the situation. They offered no assistance, no accountability, and certainly no compensation. Save yourself the stress, damage, and a massive hit to your homeowner's insurance--do NOT use Rhymer's Plumbing.

It's my go-to company from here out. The people who answered the phone were quick and friendly. When one of them needed to make a call to check on scheduling and said she'd call me right back, which always makes my heart sink, she actually did! They got someone to my house on the urgent furnace thing the day I called, and the non-emergency plumbing problem first thing the next morning, with no fuss or difficulty. Both technicians knew their stuff, were quick with the work and efficient with the billing, helpful in explaining things and friendly about my questions. I found the pricing very reasonable. The plumbing problem took two tries, and they didn't bill me for the second visit, only for the parts, which I thought very professional. I was so impressed that I signed up for their annual maintenance agreement, which includes biannual checks on the furnace and AC and a lower visit fee. You can tell there's high morale in the company, which is rare these days and of course makes a huge difference in how well a company works and gains customers. Apparently it was bought recently by a young couple who have high aspirations for building it into a larger business. From my short experience, they're making a great start. I just hope it can grow without losing this enthusiasm!

My parents pump has lasted years, as have other friends of ours. They sold me chemicals to clear stains that didn't work. The people who answer the phone know nothing. One day I had to drive back and forth from Jackson to Cape 2x because I needed a new filter basket, but since they didn't know what filter they sold me, I had to go home and bring back my basket. Roommates had been so kind to me to help us with our pool- doing a free water test and giving me free oxidizer at one point because I spend so much on chemicals for the stains.
