The young woman at fabric patiently walked me through how purchasing fabric works and the best ways to pair fabric. Susan at checkout worked every angle up maximize door busters and coupons. Came here today on 11/26/24 because the other location said they were going to be closed until further notice. I specifically came to this location, as they had what I needed. I located an associate who seemed young but what putting away stock. I asked this employee if she could go into the back and get my item and she said "it is nearly impossible because of how messy it is back there. Nothing is labeled and I don't know when it will be put away." Now I have worked in retail for 6 years myself and I know that is straight up BS to not even attempt to look for the item for a completely respectful customer. I then asked her two more times to go back and look for it and each time she would laugh and say she couldn't. I went straight up to the front and asked a manager and guess what? Not sure what's going on with this store but every time I go in every employee looks like they hate their life so bad. I try to order online for pickup instead but usually half the order gets cancelled because they say they don't have it in stock even though website said they did. Twice now when I have tried to have them ship stuff, it takes several weeks to get things & they only send after a follow up email to ask where things are, or they end up saying they can't get them. I'm only ordering very basic yarn and knitting needles so they can't be that hard to get! I give up... will look for an independent knit shop near me and give them my business. read more

Did online ordering and curb pickup. It took about 4 days to get notified that my order was ready for pickup. When I got there I was supposed to call the store and they were to bring my order out to the car. Everything went well except it took them about 7 minutes with me on the phone with them before a clerk brought out my item. I think this was a bit long to wait. read more

While Joann Fabrics is obviously known for their fabrics, I still swing by from time to time for craft materials like acrylic paint, glue, and whatever random thing I need for my project at the time. Craft stores are simply few and far between and Joann's tends to have the basic necessities. This location is in the busy Easton shopping complex next to Old Navy, Bath and Body Works, Party City, etc. There is a ton of parking out front and its easily accessible. When you walk in they have carts and baskets available and their product is organized by category (fabrics, frames, childrens art supplies, etc.). It's a rather large store with a lot of craft and fabric items but it does come off stagnant and stale. I definitely don't find inspiration here. When you walk in, it feels like you flashed back to the mid 90's. Everything is pretty dated. The check-out line can get long depending on the day and they seem to have a small staff to help keep things in order. I can say that the prices here are good and compare to other stores. They also offer coupons and every now and then you can find something of value in their clearance section. When compared to other craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, this isn't always my first choice but it does tend to be the most convenient. read more

TLDR; Seriously, drive to the next closest JOANNs unless you're planning a minimum of 2 hours to unlock a security cabinet and checkout at the register. "Waiting simulator 2024" Total time in the store was about 40 minutes, 10 of which were spent browsing around the aisles and looking for deals. Last 30 minutes were spent waiting in front of the acrylic paints, which we had pressed the "call associate" button and waited about 3-5 minutes before pressing again. Then we waited another few minutes and pressed it and waited again and again for around 5-6 cycles. At this point I went to the front and maintained patience, waited in the checkout line for about 10 minutes and just before my turn the customer in front of me had some issue, which it happens no shame. But there were 2 employees on a single register and it did not seem that either was being trained or incapable of walking to the paint aisle. I had heard the person I left waiting at the paints still calling the associate button intermittently as the ping is audible from the checkout line. As one of them walked in the direction of the paints and I presume to answer my party's request for assistance, I left line, as the customer having an issue was clearly going to take a few extra minutes and I assumed the 25 minutes of waiting had finally come to an end. When I rejoined the other individual they looked at me dumbfounded that I was gone 10 minutes and back without an associate. Since I had failed being polite and waiting in line for help the other individual with me more boldly went straight to the register and finally spoke our need and long wait to a physical person. Their response was in essence "Yes, sorry about the wait, I'll be with you back there in just a minute". After going back to the paint aisle, waiting 5 final minutes and one more button press in case they had short term memory loss, we left our cart of other items and walked out of the store. Hire a team that can function as individuals otherwise you ultimately have one person running an entire store and that is not possible. If you're going to have supplies locked up out of theft or security issues I understand nowadays. But when you have a customer ACTUALLY wanting to PURCHASE an item, and nobody around to allow them to access it, you're shooting yourself in your own foot. read more

Joann's is full of just about everything you could want for your crafty needs. They have supplies for knitting, sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, paper craft, painting, and even some for baking/cake decorating (plus much more). The store itself, though, is in bad shape. It's constantly in disarray and things are not nicely placed or arranged. Staff are not particularly helpful; not once have we ever been approached and asked if we needed any help finding anything. They also use a tricky pricing strategy; they distribute lots of coupons that seem great (40% off!), but the coupons don't work on sale items. Enter the store and you'll find that literally most of the store is "on sale." This is how Macy's used to operate too (and maybe still does). Inflated base prices but then put everything on sale. So Joann's has a large selection but needs a lot of work on keeping up their store and the helpfulness of their staff. read more

I consider myself lucky that I haven't done any sewing the past few years. I've only purchased paper and yarn craft items which are generally in stock and I don't have to wait for anyone to assist me with getting what I need. In addition to the paper coupons you can download the app and use those coupons when you're in the store. Yarn selection is mainly acrylic and acrylic blends which is very handy when making baby blankets. Cotton yarns are a good option for making baby bibs. read more

This location is a solid 2.5 stars but I rounded up because the check out is usually fast, even if there is a line. Most often they are really busy so I don't understand why they have not upgraded this location vs. other Joann stores. It is pretty dated, disorganized and messy on any given day. I can usually find what I need but things are all over the place, especially seasonal items, so it takes a minute. I would definitely shop elsewhere but there are not many options around. I'm pretty sure that my daughter's wedding would never have happened without the JoAnns store on Polaris Blvd! Everything from tulle to fabric for all of our dresses happened at a JoAnns store! We had been to the Polaris store for its grand re opening! We had a great time waiting for the ribbon cutting! All of the " Big Wigs" were there and did a great job getting all of us excited about the new store! Once inside and seeing what had been done I knew where I would be shopping for wedding fabric and decorations! We even purchased 2 sewing machines to help get the wedding together! This store is big and open and there are areas for crafts and flowers but I will continue to be amazed at the amount of fabric and staff this store offers! The staff is friendly and helpful and willing to help you. I've never felt rushed here. I want to give them a huge thank you for all they do! read more

This review is specifically about their custom framing service. I took a poster there to be framed for my niece in time for our family Christmas party, which was a week after Christmas. I was told that the poster would not be done in time for Dec. 25 - I said that was fine, as long as it was done by the following weekend. They said, no problem, it will be done by Dec. 28. On Dec. 29, the day before the party, I went to pick up the poster and was told that it wasn't finished and there was no information on when it would be finished. The person working the desk was friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help, but all he could tell us was that it wasn't done yet. To say that this was disappointing is an understatement. It turns out that Jo-Ann's outsources their custom framing, and the framer is only there once a week. So if there is any delay in getting supplies or whatever, it delays your frame by a minimum of a week. They don't tell you this when you drop your artwork off. They also didn't bother to call me to tell me that my frame was going to be delayed. The only communication I had from them was two weeks after the original quoted date, when they called to say it was finished. Really unprofessional service, IMO. I am giving 2 stars instead of 0 because when they finally completed the job, it was very nicely done and looked good. But delivering a Christmas present on January 13 does not make me want to ever use their services again. I thought I would save money on custom framing by using them, but in the future I'll stick to local framing shops instead. read more

Terrible customer service. I know nothing about sewing, but I was picking up some supplies for my wife. Absolutely no one would help me find the seeing needles I needed. I talked to the Gigi at the fabric cutting counter, and she just told me to get an all purpose needle. There is no such product. I asked the lady at the sewing machines, but she said she couldn't help because she didn't work for Joann. I asked the manager, but he said he knew nothing about sewing. I asked Jacqui who checked me out and she said she only knew about frames. I told her that I felt no one was able to help me. She said there are no other people on the floors. She told me to call the number at the bottom of my receipt, because "when (the employees) complain, no one listens to us". Wow. Just, the worst. Also, the fabric cutting counter is soooo slow. I love my JoAnn Fabrics. It's almost the only place you can go these days to get fabric cut by the yard. This JoAnn's in particular is the absolute worst. It feels like their upper level management is lacking which creates a domino effect on so many levels. Prepare yourself mentally for a 15-20+ minute wait at the cutting counter. Their shelves are not always well stocked. The check out line is always atrocious. I wish the Easton JoAnn Fabrics could learn a lesson from the Polaris one. The Polaris location seems to have it together. As a previous associate at the Polaris JoAnn's during my high school years, I can remember what it was like working hard behind the cutting counter, on the core floor and at the register. Sadly, this store isn't stocked with the same products as the other Joann's in town - a fact I found out when I tried to buy more yarn for a knitting project months ago and have noticed several times since. I just about LIVE at Jo Ann fabrics with how often I visit! I do a lot of sewing, so this store is a God send to me! I love their array of fabrics - I can always find what I need for my costumes that I am working on. They also have an area where you can purchase crafts for your children to do - My daughter always find something to do! Their sewing notions are always exactly what I need and is easy to find. I want to try out one of their classes at some point - but not sure when that will fit into my busy schedule! read more

My experience here this past Saturday evening was noticeably better than previously. However, the cutting counter is still just soooooo slow However, I was appreciative of the help I got there this time. Gigi is very nice and very willing to help verify the amount of fabric that I needed for a project..... The only bummer this time was their stock of patterns that were on sale. Remodeled since last time I was in. Seems the fabric section is a little more manageable for them and us. They now have a number system. You take a number and can shop around until they call it ad thus are ready to cut your fabric. With all that said, yes, they sell fabric by the yard: upholstery, fleece, silk, you name it. All Jo-Anne's have a pretty nice selection of seasonal decor when those seasons come around, including Christmas and Halloween (which is on the shelves right now and it's not even August.) They do indeed do framing, which I've never had done. I usually go in for smaller things and take advantage of all their coupons they have, either through mailers, paper circulars and/or emails. Do NOT go into a Jo-Anne's without a coupon. You crazy? What does a Jo-Anne's have over a place like Michaels? Variety, fabric by the yard and a lot more supplies for those who like using fabrics. Which includes a great selection of sewing machines, thread and patterns. Tons and tons of patterns. Friendly staff and lines that move faster than the past make this Jo-Anne's a great place for creatives. read more

This Joann's at Easton is absolutely horrible. The store is a mess, stuff is thrown everywhere, the organization isn't great. And the staff is absolutely horrible. The store does not honor deals and discounts POSTED IN THE STORE ITSELF nor does it almost ever let you use the Joann's released coupons. I was standing in line to check out and there was one single cashier who looked us dead in the eyes and then walked away. By the time anyone came back to check anyone out several minutes later, there was a line all the way down the length of the area. And only one single person came back to help, no one else was bothered to even though multiple people were in the area just wandering around. read more

With more visits to this location it seems fit to update my rating. The selection is great here but the customer service lacks. I don't expect help or normally ask for it. But they lock up the happy planner stickers so I spent a little over 7 mins trying to find someone to get them out for me. Then instead of handing it to me so I could walk up to ring out. She took it and said it will be at the register for me when I'm ready. It was weird and offputting. I'm sure I won't run off with the $19.99 stickers. Then later at register the cashier scanned all the other coupons I knew that wouldn't work but didn't scan the one I wanted to use. So I get to work and realize that I spent more than I had expected and then checked the receipt to see no coupons were on it. I called them and they said I'd need to come back in store to have it corrected. Then after work I go to the store and the lady at the register wouldn't stop arguing with me that i got the best deal. I've worked retail for 7 years in the past and I have a lot of patience. I know how to read prints on coupons and I can do math to know what's a better deal. After going back and fourth I just asked her to return the items and I'd rebuy them with the coupon I wanted to use and idc if it ends up costing me more. She finally listened to me and I saved $24 dollars. And she told me I was right. Idc about being right but I do absolutely hate arguing for no reason. Joann Fabrics is the most disappointing franchise to ever exist. Unfortunately, I am forced to spend money here because I am a fashion student and it's the only store with fabrics you can feel in-person so it's my only option for fabric shopping. If there were ANY OTHER fabric store that had a decent amount of fabric options to choose from I would GLADLY go there. WITHOUT FAIL any time I walk into a Joann's fabric they find a way to completely ruin my day. Whether it be TERRIBLE customer service, the fact that they are never fully stocked with basic fabrics that are not hard to find or simply their stupidity like not knowing how to use their own coupons. This is not one Joann's location either, I have been to SEVERAL locations and each one is the same. Their employee's are rude, incredibly unhelpful and unknowledgeable in every single item they sell in their stores. If you have a question about anything related to the items they sell, you are more likely to find the answer using google than asking an employee who will definitely waste your time. For example, tonight I walked into Joann's Polaris location for Copic Markers and black Organza fabric. I walk over to where the organza is and don't see any so I ask an employee if they have any in the back and instead of looking for it the lady goes "Well if ya don't see it we don't have it" so I said "Can you look in the recently cut fabric?" and the lady goes over and says "yeah we don't have it" so I'm like well I should've expected that. Then I walk over to the markers section and all they have is off brand markers so I asked another employee if they still sold Copic's and she goes "uhhhhhhhh idk" and I said "Well can you find out?" and so she asked on her headset and said they have a few in the back but some one came to their store and stole the entire wall display of Copic markers. This is a great example of Joann employee's stupidity. A customer came in and stole an entire display case of markers and they did nothing about it. Sounds very on-brand for Joann's. I truly wish I didn't have to give a single penny to this awful company because I honestly wish it didn't exist. But because it is my only option to go there I am going to continue to write reviews on my experiences until there is significant change. read more

I love the holiday decorations but the cinnamon smell is extremely overpowering. There isn't one spot in the store where the smell isn't present. Please consider those with respiratory issues. A few cinnamon cones in the entry is fine, but the entire store should not be consumed with this smell. Otherwise I love Joann. read more

Went to Joann Fabrics and Crafts on Morse Road on Saturday, June 6th, 2020. Jocelyn at the checkout asked if I had any coupons. I had just one. She walked me through adding the Joann app on my phone. It took a bit of time for it to finish. Jocelyn was very patient and waited for the download to finish. She used many coupons and was super wonderful. Jocelyn saved me over $19!!!! I needed fabric for a project and didn't have time to drive to the Polaris area. So I gave this location another shot. This time I got served at the cutting counter exponentially faster than in the past. I'm not ready to give more than 3 stars for two reasons. 1)I was there in the afternoon and there was only 1 person cutting fabric, so there was a line longer than it had to be. 2) I had no interaction with any staff other than the person who cut my fabric, and another whom rang me up. The fabric cutter helped direct me to locate another item in the store I needed and she was correct, and it helped me get what I needed in a hurry. I appreciated that, but it'll take a few more good interactions to make me feel like they have more helpful, pleasant employees rather than what I've experienced in the past. read more

Large variety of product however they are not very customer oriented. The cutting counter often does not seem friendly and will take their time however to their defense they are almost always busy so I'm sure they are overworked. I felt I had to write this review based on how rudely I was treated on my visit Nov.13, 2014.I walked in the store and it was going to close in 15 minutes. I quickly selected my fabrics and took them to the cutting table.A woman named Sue said "you want me to cut this fabric for you"? I said yes, why else would I be standing there. There was another woman having her fabric cut and her clerk was sweet and friendly, commenting on her good choices. I asked my clerk the cost of the fabric.. She said "what's the matter, can't you read? I could not believe it. I ended up just getting one fabric, putting the other bolts aside because S. was so angry she had to cut them and it was getting close to closing time.
