I have shopped at Joann Hesperia on several occasions in the past to buy crafts, materials, and other items for events and gifts. It was always fun perusing this store for hours to see if there were any knick knacks worth buying. I love the bright and quiet atmosphere. Staff was friendly and nice. I will miss Joann after they close its doors. My fondest memory is when I brought my two daughters (when they were little) here for a painting crafts class that took place over a course of several weeks. This was our first time visiting JoAnn Fabrics at this location. My daughter has an art project for one of her classes in school and has to make a doll. Well, my daughter is very creative and likes to go above and beyond when it comes to art. We weren't sure where to look but we followed the direction of the fabric. We saw two ladies at the fabric area and asked for help. We were told where the muslin was located. So we found the muslin, with the assistance of the employee but my daughter decided on a green fabric instead in another area (she said she's going to make an alien doll). When we went to the register, guess who was the cashier ready to greet us with a friendly smile? If you guessed the employee who helped us earlier then you're right. I learned her name is Corinne and she is just a breath of fresh air. It has been so long since we've been anywhere where an employee seems to truly enjoy their job. She was extremely pleasant and gave excellent customer service. After all of the negative experiences we've had at other stores since covid, it is so easy to see when someone is genuinely kind. That is Corinne. She is amazing. I'm really glad our first experience at this JoAnn Fabrics was pleasant, we have Corinne to thank for that. Extremely unprofessional service provided by Rosemary this evening. Her attitude needs to improve or she needs training on how to help customers properly with the questions they have. I was looking for a circuit blade behind the counter, and showed her the picture of the blade I was looking for to see if they had it. Her response was "well do you see it on the wall?" Excuse me? I don't have access to the wall, so that's why I'm asking for your assistance. I was trying to see what was on the wall from a distance, and asked to see a particular item, and her response was well I showed her (my sister) earlier in an extremely rude tone. I ordered a few items online, and when I went in to pick them up I was assisted by an enormously helpful and friendly woman. I wish I would have gotten her name, but the receipt shows her cashier# is 697389. There is a rather rude woman who cuts fabric in the back, and the lady I ran into today is the exact opposite of her. Thank you so much for being pleasant. I went into Joann's today to pick up a couple of patterns while they were on sale, however, because they were "newer", they had not been unboxed yet. I asked one of the women who work there if they can pull the patterns (2 patterns) I need from the boxes at her feet and she told me no. She said that if she does that, she would have to put them all away. I asked her if I could pull the patterns, since she was obviously too busy, and she still said no. They lost a sale-not only the patterns, but the fabric to make those garments as well. This Joanns is operating in violation of all county and state health regulations by allowing their workers to not wear masks. I counted at least 5 employees just wearing plastic face shields and no masks or anything covering their mouths. Face shields are meant to be worn alongside face masks and not in lieu of. The staff seems very pleased with themselves for customers already having pointed out their noncompliance previously during the day. I find it disgusting that a company that has profited from society's need to wear masks by selling patterns, fabric, and elastics for masks to not even have their own workers be compliant. I asked a simple question and they started yelling at me because I was confused about the fabric . Edit: I can't say enough good things about online customer service. After sending them proof of my claim, they took care of the issue and ensured I received my full refund for the cancelled item. I don't know what the problem at the store was, but I must give Joann's corporate customer service credit for handling the complaint fairly and expeditiously. I was ripped off! My order says that I picked up the Fiskars 5pk Straight Rotary Blades 45 mm, but when I went to the store I was told they were out of stock and that the money would be reimbursed to my gift card. I even took a screen shot of the order that showed they were out of stock. The sales lady said the money would be reimbursed within 5 days of the order, but instead now the order says it has been picked up! This is a horrible way to do business! This has happened before, but I didn't have picture proof that the item was out of stock when I picked it up. This time I do. I demand to be reimbursed for the items I did not receive or to actually receive the item. This is completely unacceptable and makes me never want to purchase from Joann's again! read more

You snapped at me about my return, you rushed me along saying you can't accept my coupon, and when I asked you to scan my app so i can get points, you said it was too late. My favorite Go to place. Even though I use the online services often, I love to walk through the store and see the items available. I have always been greeted when I walk in the door, and the workers on the floor, are always helpful and love to share ideas. I use coupons and am able to save quite a bit of cash. From important items being cancelled on my already paid for order even though it will say they have 100s available in store. To grumpy workers that don't make me feel welcome, but will show "regulars" a totally different attitude RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! I have to double check my fabric cuts when I get home bc sometimes I get CUT SHORT! The not scanning to get my points is starting to get irritating, I've lost out on big purchases like a new sewing machine, big orders of fabric etc. For me nothing tops the cancellation of paid items that are said to be available. First of all when I walked in I was surprised to see that none of the employees had masks on, I asked a woman with the name of Michelle for help in finding the paint brushes and she laughed at me and asked me if I was dumb... I grew up going to the JoAnn on 7th street with my mom, back when it was House of Fabrics. I was impressed by how big, clean, and well-stocked this new store is. HUGE selection of fabrics, crafts, holiday decorations, jewelry making supplies, and so much more. Although there are several attendants cutting fabric, make sure to take a number BEFORE you look for your notions and other items while you wait..... The wait can be long and you'll hear them announce your number from anywhere in the store. Great upgrade, and I'll be back! read more

Worst Joanns. I have had nothing but problems at this joanns. Repeatedly I found that I order items and they NEVER have what they say they do. When in the oft times I have had the displeasure of dealing with the manager, she is rude, condescending and insulting. She blames all of their inventory errors on covid, and "corporate", smh. She states that its corporates fault they have inventory errors, but can't get the correct items from thf warehouse as they are separate from corporate. She can cancel my money (that they grabbed immediately even tho they did not have the item), but will take 3-5 days to return it back to me because of "corporate". I have made a formal complaint to "corporate" and will no longer shop here until this ugly person is no longer ruining the shopping experience. My recommendation? Go to M&L in Anaheim, MUCH nicer staff, MUCH better prices, and WAY MUCH better quality of fabric. Even ANY mail order is proving to be better than joanns... read more

Y'all need to be more organized. I had two orders. One was a varnish and the other was a powder. I was confirmed 3x that the order was ready for the curbside pickup. I call the store, tell them my order, and that I am parked in front of the store. They said it was ready. Once I went up the the register, Yhey said "there you go have a nice day" the order was small and so I asked about the varnish, AFTER they told me that they don't currently have it so I'll have to order it again and my money will be returned for the varnish. I was charged for the varnish even though I was told they will return the money? Y'all charged the full amount of BOTH of the orders even though I put a code for the discount. read more

Today was the first ever visit to this store. I make costumes and stage clothes for a living so between the two Joann's by my house and LA I've never made it to this store. I was amazed at how clean and organized the store was! And the customer service? They blew me away. Dorthy helped me and was very helpful. I can't remember the cashiers name but what a pleasure to have a helpful person ring me up. I live closer to the Fontana store and they have limited inventory and a rude manager. The Ontario Mills store folks could care less about the customers. I think I'll be making the trek up the hill to this store from now on! They never have enough employees working to make my shopping experience go smoothly. The checkout is a long wait and I always plan for that when I come here. I have seen people leave carts full and just walk out because they are angry about the wait. I have learned that this isn't the type of store that you just run into. I plan my visit to the store when I have plenty of time to look around and wait my turn. They have a ton of fabric and yarn. My sister has been making me scarves and hats so I'm always looking for nice colors. They have sample pieces out that are made into little things so you can see what it will look like when you make something out of it. I like their holiday season section because it's full of adorable ideas for your home. They have a nice candle section that will not disappoint. read more

Any store that sells hobby stuff is a MUST for me. I love Joann's because I find it to be the least expensive one of all and they send me tons of coupons. I live in the high desert and this one is only a few minutes away from home so I am here all the time. This is a relatively new store and it's clean. That is about the only positive thing I can say about it. I've shopped here about a dozen times and almost every time have had to deal with very slow cashiers and grumpy employees. One thing another reviewer mentioned and I'll back up is that you have to be aware of what you're being charged at the register. Mistakes happen, sure. But it seems to happen a little too often. Every time I come into this store its the same thing. The customer service is terrible! The same lady that checks me out almost every time has a little attitude about the coupons and tries to rush me along. I now have to check my receipt every time before I leave because she likes to not accept the coupon and not say anything. The cut table is even worse almost a half hour before my number is even called. Not because there were a ton of people in front of me but because there forward progress is that slow.
