My usual Walmart that I go to for online pick up orders. Not perfect since I occasionally get something I need to return in person due to quality issues but pick up sure is convenient. I find most of the items I need here. Their private label brands Great Value and bettergoods are surprisingly high in quality considering the value price point. I often find myself reaching for those instead of the name brands because they are often quite excellent. I haven't had any issues with service at this store but I am not one that needs coddling while shopping. The employees have always been very courteous and friendly toward me. Check out with an employee is fast and efficient but self check out is available, too, for those days when one feels especially introverted. This Walmart has a Charleys Cheesesteaks. You know how it is with Walmart stores . . . some are good and some are bad. This is definitely one of the bad ones, nasty ones. It's not clean, it is not well maintained and it is not well lit. I was standing in the dairy section waiting for a customer to make their selection so I could make mine and noticed their ankle tracking bracelet. Floor need to be mopped, shelves need to be straightened up and employees need to make eye contact. Checkout lines were way, way too long. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the consistently poor customer service at this location, particularly within the self-checkout area. As a paying Walmart+ member, I explicitly utilize the "Scan & Go" feature for efficiency. However, during my visit today, the frontline staff demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism--offering no greeting and maintaining an unapproachable demeanor. Furthermore, both designated Scan & Go kiosks were out of service, forcing me to use a standard terminal. This is unfortunately part of a systemic pattern. During a previous visit, an associate was actively obstructionist, refusing to let me use an available Scan & Go kiosk and abruptly ordering me to the back of the line without cause. The recurring unhelpful and hostile attitude of the personnel at this branch heavily detracts from the value of my membership. Management needs to immediately intervene, address these equipment failures, and counsel the front-end staff on basic professionalism and customer service standards. I had an issue with Lillian and Kiera. I travel for work and end up here to shop because I have a client in that city. However I will never buy anything that they need to unlock the sliding glass doors for again. I was in Electronics last week on Tues. And I asked a worker if he could open one of the sliding doors where the earphones are located. He was kind and asked Lillian for the key. But she rudely told him that customers have to stand in line. But the line went all the way back to the walkway. All she had to do was give him the key so that I could purchase these products at the front, since I was continuing to shop. So I went to customer service where I met another worker, Kiera (African American woman with braids). I'm just describing her in case she gave me a different name. You never know. She did not have her name tag on. She seemed fine at first and was willing to open the sliding glass door for me in Electronics. But the frustrating part was she was looking down on her phone the whole time while walking from the front of the store to the back... and extremely slow like she was doing it on purpose. I usually shop at the Azusa and Glendora Walmart and they don't seem to ever act this way. But here, it didn't matter how courteous I was. I'd understand if I was rude to them in some way. Please hire adequate people. They're making you lose more money with customers, than you realize. I'm definitely not purchasing products behind the glass doors anymore. Welcome to the Supercenter superstore of Victorville it's not quite a Cloud9, but it definitely is Walmart aka Wally World with a colorful cast of characters and ongoings. Being a very former local, this location wasn't around or rather was formerly located off Bear Valley Rd & Balsam (now a Amazon fulfillment center), before opening its doors in 2012. It was definitely foot traffic central being that time of year, and fairly organized, with the exception of some overflow bulk areas. More than a few items are locked up here, that you wouldn't expect. For laundry detergent everything was available on the shelf expect for really specific scents and variations of brands (mostly larger pods). The call button was a bit problematic here. I remember reading and I agree it can be a little unnerving to wait for an employee to unlock say a hygiene, personal care or specialty item vs. detergent. I understand and support Walmart - Victorville (1 of 2)'s ability troubleshoot lost prevention - but do think some other things can be implemented - even having dummy boxes for certain items. We more than believe we overheard a group of people planning to take off with appliances without paying while here. Right after grabbing some help on the floor. You can usually find someone on the floor for whatever you need - devices in hand or on their person. We had to look up a supplement for my dad that was out of stock, but the girl who helped was beyond helpful and even gave us alternative suggestions. This location gets shopped hard, hardest during major holidays, but you can find the essentials including plenty of groceries. Check out is easy and honestly the best. Our clerk was extra friendly fun! Restrooms come in various conditions and for large places like this - you do your best to maintain, but you can't help those who can't help themselves with odd habits and so on. It's not all on Walmart! The parking lot is huge, chaotic at times, but not too much of a hassle. This location has a everything, including pharmacy, vision, auto care, deli, bakery, grocery, wine & spirits, guest service, photo center, garden center, fuel station and a fast food/fast casual toward the front. I had a very disappointing experience at Walmart. We were waiting in an area that was apparently closed, and multiple employees walked past us without ever informing us that the department was not open. We wasted a significant amount of time waiting because no one took the initiative to help or provide basic information. When we finally went to the front counter for assistance, the employee there was extremely unhelpful and came across as rude. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or point us in the right direction, she seemed uninterested in helping customers. Overall, the customer service was poor from start to finish. Better communication and a more customer-focused attitude from employees would go a long way toward improving the experience. read more

Went into the store to do an Instacart order and was harassed and threatened with police and security by a Walmart associate over not showing a receipt through the Instacart app( isn't a thing) . Explained I only have the register receipts and there's multiple because it's for insta cart, and that I was on a timer. When I tried to leave she threatened to call police and security because she can't "allow me to just run out with all of this" . I said I have receipts from the register and started to take them out and another employee told me I can go. While I had the receipts out she continued to argue with me and her own coworker who was telling her there's no receipt on the instacart app. Then when she realized she was wrong says "well she didn't show me a receipt(as in regular register receipt)". We were traveling and I realized I made a huge mistake and forgot to bring our furbabies leashes !!! So we had to stop somewhere anywhere for a break and dropped by Walmart. Anuncia helped me out ( I apologize in advance as this was not her name as I remember but spell check ruined it for me ) and Casandra was also nice to help out as well. The leashes were in a glass case so it took a while before I was able to get assistance. I was so glad they had some in stock. This Walmart is a large supercenter located on Amargosa in Victorville. It has a large parking lot that it does not share with any other business. Closeby are other establishments like Panera Bread and Chili's. Unfortunately, this location, like many Walmart locations, has gone downhill. There's more people in the High Desert and I don't think they can keep up with the growing demand. Instead of keeping the self checkouts open, someone thinks it's genius to reduce the amount of open self checkout lanes, which increases wait time. I understand that there's been theft, but don't penalize everyone for what a few bad apples are doing. It's not fair. Also, many items are behind glass lockers. It's the worst thing to wait for an employee with a key to open the glass locker and give you the item you want to buy. Even if the item is a personal item, or a feminine item. I caution anyone who has to shop here. Have patience and remember kindness, even though it might feel like kindness and respect is not being shown to us, as the customer. read more

My good friend wanted me to take him to Walmart so that he can pick up some gifts for his family & after my experience at the Walmart on Palmdale I was hesitant, but he reassured me that the Walmart on Amargosa Rd was much better I decided to take his word & headed on over & I'm so glad I did. Jack at the electronics department was very helpful and friendly. This review does not at all reflect his service. He deserves 5 stars! Unfortunately, the rest of the visit was not to great. The restrooms were horrible! We found a cute lamp for our daughter, but she didn't respond about it until we left the store. My husband decided to go back in to buy it. After he purchased it at the self-checkout he noticed the lamp shade on it was bent so requested to exchange it using the receipt with the employee manning this area. Instead the employee called for Asset Protection! He had to wait and prove that he had in fact bought the lamp and the concern. He felt interrogated. I waited in the car an extra 25 minutes delaying our drive to Vegas. Not sure if this store has lots of theft and unruly customers, but what a terrible thing to happen. Improve on answering your customer service calls. This location is very adamant on not answering their phones to customers with questions before they come to the store. I thought one day it was just because they were busy but one day I went into Walmart and called while in the store and watched as all departments had employees who just looked at the phone with disgust and walked away or continued to do what they were doing. I believe customer service also ties with how you handle customers over the phone. It is completely unacceptable that the simple task of picking up the phone to answer questions is too much for said employees and or the managers on duty are not correcting the horrible behavior. Auto department. Just to call and speak with someone you have to call over and over again or the line hangs up on you, very annoying. The night before Xmas Eve we had a flat tire in the parking lot. Not your fault obviously BUT, we did purchase 4 new tires and warranty for your tires, FROM your location a year ago so we figured the auto department would be able to help. We showed up at 6:40 and shop closes at 7:00. We were told that the manager on duty said that they weren't able to help us because they were closing and to get fix a flat ourselves and fix it. HAHA women, cold rainy night, I don't think so. So LES SCHWAB helped us instead. We had to have the car towed by AAA and they got it there right before they closed at 8 where they promised to help us and that they did. I went to this store today and only brought one bag. Ended up buying more than I expected so asked the cashier for another bag. She said they were out of paper bags. I looked around at the other checkouts and they all had bags. When I asked about it my cashier said that those bags belonged to other cashiers. I have returned to this Wal-Mart Supercenter to buy a small insulated cooler to keep ice cream frozen. I walked around and around looking for it. Finally, I asked an employee for assistance. The lady directed me to one of the kitchenware aisles. Unfortunately, they didn't have anything to my liking. She said I can check the travel and baby aisles, too. Sometimes they carry insulated containers. So I went over to those two areas and nothing seemed to fit my needs. I ended up walking back to the kitchenware area. I just picked an insulated lunch tote that may work. As I was walking out to the cashier area, a thought crossed my mind... I needed a new hairbrush so I started walking over to the beauty aisles. Out of all the walmarts up here this is the worse one. This last time I had to review it. I pressed the alert button for the paint. We couldn't find anyone to help going on 15 to 20 minutes of waiting. A guy that passed me 3 times and looked at me every time he passed, finally went and actually opened the glass lock and did his job, looked like it was a bother for him to help. I know why he didn't help me because he though I didn't see him. Which at the end pissed me off. How can you see someone there and just because your too lazy to help someone you find the excuse not to help. I saw you see me there waiting forever. Literally every time I order groceries to get delivered there's something expired or rotten or spoiled you name it. Then now they require you to go return it to the store like hello I don't have time or can't that's why I ordered it to get delivered to my home. I think they should require people to upload pictures and if the stuff their employees packed is damaged or expired then do the refund then and there ONLINE. Went to pick up section, proceeded with checking in as advised, after 2 hours of waiting ( I know holiday season gets busy) but 2 hours was extremely long. I asked a worker of the status, he proceeded in telling me that I had never checked in. I was shocked , I showed him my confirmation and showed him prove and time of this, his like oh maybe a problem with system, I'm like ok no worries thinking he was going to honor my time of arrival and help me with order but instead he said sorry you have to wait in queue and there's still many cars ahead of you. I'm like WTH , I'm showing you my proof the least you can do is honor it. I asked to speak to Manager at that moment "Frankie " same response,, with hesitation they proceeded with giving my order ready. I'm like wow , me showing proof in hands with pictures of confirmations and times of arrival wasn't enough. I'm glad they went and pretty much shut me up and send me away. I was on border line of having a meltdown. Yes it would have been faster for me to get off and get the stuff myself, but as a mother of a Autistic/ADHD child it's pretty hard sometimes. So having this as an option obviously I would prefer. Mind you my son was with me waiting all this time. And I felt so bad for my son having to go through this with me. Low prices are meaningless if you can't return the stuff you can't use or is broken. Most of the time the return desk has a broken register, one employee who is slower than a snail or in general they just aren't processing any returns that day. Be careful what you buy here because at the end of the day this store makes it miserably difficult if not impossible to return things. I've had numerous items that I simply couldn't return at all because every time I came the register at the return desk was not working. Every time I come to the money services department there's some customer with an issue holding up the line! Why is there only 1 cashier? Why do they allow the customer to rant and rave about a money issue that they can't help them with?
