This is a decent place to shop for a variety of crafting supplies if they're having good sales or if you have a good coupon. There are always coupons available online that you can use in store -- most of them are 40-50% off of a single item, or 25% off your total order. I wouldn't shop most of the items full price, but, luckily, I don't have to with all the discount options available. (For example, I recently bought several frames at 50% off, and bead strands 50-75% off.) I generally shop here when I can take my time to slowly browse, and so I don't often seek out interaction with employees outside of checking out. My experiences with them in that capacity have been fine. I chose four out of five stars because there are occasionally times when something is off or a bit of a bummer. Things like expired sale signs still being up, or clearance stickers and sections being unclear or hard to navigate. I've learned to just take a little extra time in reading signs, tags, and stickers of items I purchase. read more

I went there specifically to buy yarn and although the variety was nice, it was scattered EVERYWHERE throughout the store. The selection of yarn brands were mixed together and full priced items were in the "clearance" areas. It was mess. The store looked like it had never been cleaned or faced at the end of the day. Out of the 5 employees I came into contact with, only one smiled at me and asked me if I needed help - and she was the busiest out of the group! Even the cashier seemed distracted. Probably THE worst Joann I've visited. The employees are extremely rude, and don't listen to anything you are saying, plus they act like they are the be all end all of every Joann everything, when they don't even know what's going on. They also don't know how to shop for curbside pickup, because most of the time I order from here, they'll cancel my order, saying they don't have this item. I end up going in the store and finding the item myself, and it WAS in stock, they were just too self important to find the item. They audibly sigh whenever I use coupons, and act like I'm wasting their time when I'm in the dang store to BUY THINGS from the JOB they WORK at! I wish the next JoAnn wasn't over 20 minutes away, or that Loveland had a Michael's, because I literally hate having to go into Joann but it's the only art supply store in the area. read more

Do not go here before they close!!! They aren't allowing you to use coupons, and none of the sales apply to them simply because they're closing. There is no signage around stating that and they don't tell you until you get to the cash register. read more

RETURN POLICY: Be aware that a sewing machine may only be returned if the box is UNopened, so if you purchase one, try it, don't like it or it's not to your standards, guess what - it's yours anyway. If you do return an unopened machine box , they charge you a $25 restocking fee. That is NOT stated in their on-line return policy. I found the staff to be rather "brisk" shall we say, (if you can find someone), the manager triple checked that the box I was returning was indeed still factory sealed, like I was trying to pass offan opened box as unopened. I wasn't the only disgruntled person at the checkout when I was there. Not the first time I've left there with a less than satisfactory experience. I will give local venders my business from now on. read more

Top of their receipt states "No hassle return policy". No where on my receipt does it say sewing machines cannot be returned to the store but have to be sent BACK TO THE MANUFACTURER! Really?!?! On the receipt under their own "Return Policy" it has options for return: in store, mail in returns, overseas returns. It also specifically states there is a $25 restocking fee for sewing machines- which would lead me to believe I could expect to return it for a refund, minus this restock fee. The machine I bought at this store jammed up after about an hour of use. I could not clear this jam. I've been sewing 40 years. I know what I'm doing- this machine was defective. So I tried to return it to this store. Nope! "No returns if opened", I'm told. Where exactly is this stated in your return policy? NO WHERE! How would I know it needs to be returned unless I opened it and found it to be defective?!?!? No refund. No store credit. Nothing. No help at all. I'm told to contact Singer! I will NEVER shop at any Joann's Fabric again. Terrible store. Terrible customer service. Terrible product support. read more

Joann.com price not respected in store. I specifically traveled to Joann to purchase some upholstery foam at $22 a yard because that was the price on sale listed on the website. When I got to the checkout, I was informed the foam was on sale at $30 a yard and the online price could not be honored. Joann is usually a great place to shop, but this experience is definitely going to affect how much I want to go to the store if they can't respect the advertised price of an item because "the online price is not at all related to the in store price" read more

Over the years I have shopped this store. Was my favorite place to browes and buy craft and sewing supplies. It has been a few yrs since I was in the store. Today I needed to run in for something i forgot at Hobby Lobby. What a change for the worse. Entry doors only open half way with a grinding sound. The was filthy with leaves littler. The store in need of a good scrubbing. Missing price lists,on the shelves and much disorder. I hear there was a change in management, too bad cause store has really gone down hill. read more

I had the worst experience in this store with store manager, Lori at the Loveland location. First, I went to the register and spoke with the cashier who informed me that I needed to login to the app to receive my military discount. I had trouble logging into my account, and when I asked for help, she called her manager Laurie. Lori over the radio told her, she was not coming up and that I needed to try a new email. The cashier informed her that I only had one email and she told her to tell me to create a new login. As I went to do that, it wouldn't let me because it said I was already existing customer. The cashier informed the manager and the manager side and said I guess I'll be up with a very poor attitude. It took her 20 minutes to come up then when I asked for help and showed her that I was not receiving the email to reset my password and that it said that I already had an account an existing account with that email, she scuffed and said that she's not IT. We tried several more times with no success. When I asked can you just give me the military discount so we can move on and I will call the department later. She said she had no way of giving me any form of a discount. I said your the manager and you have no way of getting me any discount or mark down since this is clearly y'all error. She said no. I said so you don't have a store manager or district manager, or corporate that can help. She again said no. Then said I am the store manager. Which I replied your a store manager and you can mark anything down or give me any form of discount. We are talk about a couple cent of a discount. At this point it the principle that I have been here for 45 minutes and y'all are being discriminatory towards military members. I have an ID to show you this should be enough it's a government ID. Again, this is not my error. It's your app that's not working. She then said no there's nothing I can do for you. I left everything I was going to buy and walked out. When did Joann's become so anti military. And more than that when did your store become so anti customer service. The poor cashier has to work with a Lori as manager that is horrible. That poor girl asked for help from her manager and was treated poorly with so much attitude. This woman should not be a manager little on a store manager. She clearly can't managing employees when she can't even help customers. This was the worst experience I can ever had with Joann's and I am not sure with all the other options out there that I want to ever do business with them again read more

I used to love this store with Ted as the manager. he was so friendly and helpful, and always happy. Now the store is dirty, products are on sale but do not have prices listed, you cannot find the supplies you need or that are advertised, and the employees turn over every week. You cannot find any consistency in this store anymore. I won't be shopping here any more. read more

I went to this Joann's hoping to find some good quality fabrics, but one of the store employees was rude, and completely inconsiderate. I was waiting for one of my friends to find a fabric to purchase, and decided to go to an isle with an option to color little pieces of paper to test the pens. I enjoyed using the pens, and was having a good time drawing a little frog. I noticed some of the employees cussing around me, but It didn't really bother me. At about the 4-5 minute mark of drawing one of the employees said sarcastically "are you having a difficult time finding something or... I stated "no sir, I'm just coloring" (the employee scoffed at me). About 1 minute later, the man rudely told us that "I was wasting markers", and that "people are going to have to purchase used markers now". The markers were clearly on display, in neatly organized shelves with little pieces of paper underneath that stated [draw on me] and such. I was completely confused on why he was upset at me for testing out the pens, that I was HIGHLY considering buying until he ruined my experience in the store. I was in Joanne several weeks ago and fell in love with some pricy (for my budget) fabric..$30.00 per yard. I inquired at the cutting counter about how much yardage I would need to recover 6 chair seats. At first the woman was rude and impatient and blew me off; at which point I insisted she help as I was going make a purchase! She told me I would need 3yards... Today I found a 50% off coupon so I was absolutely thrilled to go and purchase this fabric! The coupon noted that an app was required to be downloaded to activate the coupon..I have no smartphone..so first I inquired at the checkstand..25 minute wait!! The very young checker tells me I need a smartphone, as I begin to walkout and rip up the coupon another checker shows up I ask her she says they can override this!!! Well off I go to find my fabric.. This cutter tells me I need 5 yards and that the fabric has been discounted to 7.99 a yard! Imagine my glee!! Just before she makes the first cut she checks the tag and tells me it's $9.99 a yard!! I' m very surprised but I proceed with the purchase; from $40 to $50 go figure. Go to pay for my purchase and wow!! 26 people in line with ONE Checker!! 45 minutes later I'm in my car. Never again will my time or my wallet Grace joanns fabric store!! I will no longer spend my money at JoAnn Fabrics. Went in during a holiday sale, and weekend doorbuster. Most everything I was purchasing was on some sort of sale. After the cashier and manager, Gloria, rang up my purchases the price was way too high. We wanted to get garland that was labeled at $2.99, and rang up at $15. She began to argue with us about how the garland was never 2.99 and she could remove them. I asked which garland was on sale after showing her the sign for $2.99 special. She stated she did not know and could remove the garland from our purchase. I stated over and over that I wanted the 2.99 garland but she refused to tell me which garland it was and where it was located. I finally asked her to remove everything from the purchase and I only wanted a wreath that was a weekend doorbuster sale for 11.99. The wreath rang up as $24 and she began to argue with me again about the price. I walked her to the sign(3 were posted) and she said "fine" as she quickly walked back to the cash register and changed the price. If this is how customer service is at this location, I will gladly spend my hard earned money elsewhere AND pay more to not have to deal with them again. read more

Customers Beware! I ran into Joann's for some thread. Should be in and out in 5 minutes. Instead, there were 11 people waiting, and one new girl cashier. When it was finally my turn, 20 minutes later, the manager, Gloria, got on the loud speaker and proceeded to humiliate me in front of everyone. I have to drive to town to walk my dog. I left him in the car with the moon roof open. He was fine. This dog is my world. So Gloria gets on and starts preaching at me about what a creep I am for leaving my dog in the car. When she stopped, you could hear her and another woman in the back of the store laughing loudly. This is how I see it: instead of acting like a Jr. High kid, and setting a horrible example for employees, she could/should have done one the following: get the dog out of the car, page me to come to you to discuss it privately, and how about you and the lady in back, who are obviously messing around, how about helping the girl up front? Because of her poor management, it took 20 minutes to get out of there. I called her when I got home. She thought it was funny and that she was a hero, and me, an abuser. I could hear the other lady in the background, so the cashier must have still been doing everything up front. When I told her I was going to talk to the manager, she laughed that she was the manager, insinuating that I had no recourse. I called customer service to contact her supervisor. Then I called again in a week. My calls were never returned. Therefore, I imagine that Gloria is still there. I will NEVER go back to any Joann's. Good work management! read more
