JOANN always have the best fabric. They especially have the best selection of outdoor fabrics, the same quality as the Sunbrella fabrics & better. I've been in a lot of JoAnn stores however this one takes the cake in messiness! It was 2 weeks after Christmas so I understand that they need time to reorganize but the entire store was a mess! It was, however, the largest JoAnn I've ever seen! Just please get organized! read more

Pat at Joanns sucks. My wife went in to get some fabric and came out talking about Pat and her poor customer service for the past two days. I would recommend you guys just let her go and pick someone up that enjoys working with fabric and helping people (novices) with their projects. Plenty of people need jobs. I give two thumbs down to Pat and her counterpart which I don't know her name. The incident occurred on the 4th of May 2020. Don't put her in the back, don't put her in a different section. FIRE her. This store is dirty, rundown and sad, but I suppose this is what you're reduced to when there's no competition. The store is woefully understaffed, and the available staff--if you can find someone--cannot be bothered to provide customer service. Hobby Lobby, are you listening?? On Aug 17th I visited Joanns on Davis Hwy in Pensacola, FL. The store was clean and well stocked compared to my local store in West Palm Beach. I found some fabric, proceeded to the cutting table. I was the only customer standing there waiting to be helped. Finally Alaina, the employee noticed me. She asked me for my "number". I told her I didn't have a number, and about this time another customer walked up and pulled a number tag. Alaina proceeded to tell me in no uncertain terms that I had to have a number to be waiting on. The other customer said "she was here first, I can wait." Alaina was not interested, she said that I had to go to the back of the line and get a number ticket. At this point I said fine, I was not in a hurry. Alaina then continued on, while the customer with the number waited, explaining to me that the number system was company policy to help keep customers from fighting. To which I looked at the customer beside me, she looked at me, then turned to Alaina and said, "I don't think we are going to fight over this number". Then I asked Alaina if I could borrow a pair of scissors to trim a few threads off a quilt I brought in with me. She went off on a tangent that this was against company policy, that a customer could cut themself and then sue the store. Now the customer beside me and myself are of grandmother age, we have been buying and cutting fabric for a few years to say the least. I found Alaina's attitude rude and very unprofessional. On my next visit, if Alaina is working, I will just drive down the street to Hobby Lobby to shop. read more

The ladies in the Pensacola store are very pleasant even though the store is severely understaffed. The poor store manager looks so haggard. If you shop online and use their coupons you can save a lot of $ on shipping and merchandise. That being said the company needs to stop the buy on line and go pick up your purchase program. COVID is over. I do not want to buy extra fabric to receive that 20/25% discount offered. I don't want the waste of fabric and I'm not saving money. Experienced retailers know that people will spend more $ if they can see and touch product. It's called impulse buying. Reward those who come in to shop and spend more $ with that discount. And staff your store because a lot of people walk out and leave their purchases because the lines are soooooo long read more

Too bad there is little or no competition in Pensacola for fabric stores! Every time I go the checkout line is long and slow, the staff at the fabric counter is no help and the inventory for nice fabrics (ie silks etc) is a joke. "Order it online" is the customary response. No one can estimate how much fabric I would need for a dress. Pretty pitiful! read more

I went into the Joann's store on Davis Hwy in Pensacola, Florida last Sunday I had visited my son's grave and was just feelong sad. Usually looking at patterns and fabric takes my mind off of how I am feeling. I always buy something even though I have more fabric at home than I will use. Aliene was the rudest sales associate that I've encountered in a long time. she made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I said to her if you don't want to help me you can get someone else. She walked away and after some minutes another young lady with short hair walked over and said what do you want? I said I want some of this fabric. She told me that she was the manager and she did not have to serve me. She said do you want this or no? I asked for 3 yards of fabric that was 13.99 per yard but was on sale for 25% off and when I got to the counter to pay that one piece of material was $60 + dollar. I left that store went to my car and crie. I go in this store because of Lynn. I don't know her title or her role but she is wonderful and always kind. I don think I should have to leave a shopping experience feeling worse than I did when I went in a store. read more

Literally the worst Joann fabric store ever, they should be shut down. Every single time I go there the people who work there are rude. Well today put the icing on the cake for me. I was shopping and had about 4/5 different fabrics in my cart, went to the cutting table and there was 2 people in front of me, cool no big deal, took a number and kept walking around with my 2 year old. Came back about 10 minutes later and now there's a GIANT line and she isn't even going by numbers, LIKE THE SIGN SAYS! And then I went to tell the cashier I just want to write it all down and I'll shop online and I hear the lady say "well maybe save your leisure shopping for when you don't have your screaming kid". Not sure how this store picks their employees, but if you're rude and hateful and don't follow simple directions then they would be SURELY to hire you! read more

Be careful with ordering online. I ordered an item that I planned to include in a gift basket for a specific event. Fortunately, I happened to take a look at the order summary a few days later to check on status. The status was "cancelled" -- no email from Joann, no explanation. If I hadn't looked, I wouldn't have known and would have had to scramble at the last minute to complete the basket. When I contacted customer service, all I got was mealy mouthed, irrelevant sorry noises. Never again. read more

I just found out about JOANN Fabrics. I have to admit they didn't have any floor staff available (I was there an hour and only found people working in the fabric department) HOWEVER upon check, out the sales associate stopped everything and personally walked me to a department where I was needing some items not once but TWICE, helping me find a clearance item that was just thrown on the shelf and then patiently waited while I looked over each item and chose the few I wanted. After finding out the item I needed wasn't in stock, she placed a personal order for me right then and even helped me find coupons for all the items on hand and the ones we ordered. I love this place good sales good coupons and friendly associates when available. read more

I typically love to go into a Joann's fabrics. I live an hour away from this one, so I called them specifically to ask if they had a variety of choices for what I needed. Specifically I was looking for stencils and I specified that I wanted a variety of sizes & fonts and that I wanted lower case also. She says yes they have a big variety and hung up the phone before I could even say thank you. So I get to the store and ask someone where they were... I looked where she told me to and did not find many options. So I went back to the same person, and she could not be bothered to go show me where they were she just repeated what she had told me before and said to "look again that they must be somewhere". In actuality they were not along the wall they were in the middle of an isle. Luckily I took it upon myself to find them. And their big selection was three or four different fonts, all approximately the same size, and no lowercase letters at all. Wasted two hours of my day and experienced zero customer service. This is the most unhappy I have ever been with a Joann's. read more
