Yesterday was my first time at this location I was waiting in line and the cashier that was assisting me was loudly talking to another employee in a bad tone . She then told me she would be able to assist me as I was checking out I was purchasing ceramic Christmas decor which on the signs stated they were 75% off I told her that they said they were 75% off she replied with well it says $1 which is half off. She failed to wrap my ceramic items and put them in one bag. Her attitude was not pleasant and to have an attitude with other employees in front of a line of customers is unprofessional. I made an online order to pick up at the store. I got an email the same day giving instructions for pickup. I waited over 10 minutes on the phone after following their instructions to call for curbside delivery. No answer. I walked up to the door holding my phone up. The clerk came out and told me they weren't answering phones, and they were closed. Nowhere did the email state that the store closes at 4 pm. Rude waste of time. Instructions need to be specific, including times. Yes, I acknowledge this stupid COVID-19; but it's rude to not fully communicate your new policies. And in the interest of accuracy, I arrived right around 5 pm after work. read more

I'm not sure if this person "A" was a lead, clerk or supervisor. I had my receipt for a return item. This clerk insulted me. Checking the item & receipt over and over & comparing the receipt and asking me for my phone number. I asked her if there was a problem and she told me that some people grab/steal your receipt and run out of the store through the back door. I wonder if she thought I had stolen someone's receipt then somehow got the item and tried to return it. That tells the full story of what this person is about...rude, sarcastic, and mistrusting. I will never go into Joann's again. I will only shop at Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Walmart for crafts supplies. read more

Immediately after ringing us up, Madison didn't allow my adult daughter to wait inside the store with our basket of fabric as I forgot something & went back to grab it. Madison kept insisting that she wait outside as other customers needed the room. Clearly there is plenty of room for others and she was not in the way. read more

Im mixed on things.... Employees are really good. But if you are willing to work like a dog and get mistreating and get talked about the whole time you work there. The main manager sucks. Always hype up on some energy stuff. Will like you one day then talk about you. She doesnt protect her employees only the ones that will kiss her ass. read more

I walked around for what seemed like 10 minutes and not a single person asked me if I needed help. The employees I did speak were rude and seemed like they didn't want to be at work. Andre helped me out at the register and he was nice so I'm glad at least one employee that I spoke too was friendly. The store has great products overall for a good price. I went into Joann Fabrics this evening to purchase cookie decorating tips. To my surprise, they were on sale; 70% off, so I grabbed two of them, one for me and one for my daughter. When I got up to the register my total was $13.00. I had estimated that was the regular amount of both kits (4 tips and 8 bags). When looking at my receipt I was shocked to see each kit was regularly $19.99. When I got home, I did some research to find the same Wilton Cookie Decorating Set at Target for $9.99. It appears that Joann Fabrics inflated the price 100% before giving their 70% discount. Amazon also had the same kit for 5.99. Get a clue! We will continue to shop at Amazon if YOU continue to rip us off! read more

I was in the store about a week or so ago and this delightful young lady asked if she could help me. I believe her name was Maddie. At least I hope that was her name. Anyway I asked her where an item was and she directed me to it. I told her I'd find it as she was doing something at the time. She cordially insisted she take me to said item. She stuck with me until we found it as it wasn't where it usually sat on display. To make a long story short, this lovely young gal in her sweet, friendly, and helpful manner, saw me through to check out. She is truly an asset to the Joann's. Thank you so much! read more

Went in for supplies for a corporate end of year party. As soon as I walk in, I hear an associate say to another to "keep an eye on him" and it made me feel racially profiled. I was never greeted, I was never asked if I needed help. Expired signage was up from the day before, and cashier overcharged me by $5. Promo says buy one get two, and the product scanned for $5.49. Cashier was rude, going as far as interrupting my phone call with my boss to see if they would still approve the purchase. She said she has to either Do the old signage or the new price. When it showed on her screen that it scanned for 5.49. Cashier worked the register so I was still charged for the second one. Will not come back to this store. I work in retail and the service here was subpar. Will continue to shop the Fresno stores. You shouldn't have to worry about shady policies and associates. Will continue to shop anywhere but here. I placed an online order total of 3 fabric pieces to be mailed and 2 fabrics to be picked up in store. I discovered that I inadvertently purchased fleece material instead of Quilting Cotton and 1 minute after placing my order I call customer service; explaining to the service rep why I need to cancel my order. She explains to me that she is unable to cancel the order because the status states "Order Processing". I remind her that her site states due to the Corona Virus online orders are taking longer to process and I placed my order less that 5 minutes ago and stated to her I can bet that it will sit for the next few days in the system before someone retrieves it to actually begin processing my order; and added, you want me to believe that you are currently; as we speak, fulfilling my order. She stated I can refuse the delivery or mail it back after receiving but I will be refunded minus the shipping fee or I can take my order to my nearest Joann Store for a full refund. I am extremely disappointed in Joann Fabric order cancellation policy especially when orders are taking longer than usual to actually be processed, fulfilled and mailed. If I could give this review less than 1 Star I would. Beware before you place your online order! read more

Yesterday I went to Purchase fabric as they were having a great sale. When I was checking out I felt the total was too high and even put an item back that did not ring up as on sale yet had a sign saying it was. The clerk never offered to go look and I was late for a meeting so I just left it. This morning I looked at my receipt and I had been charged for 7 pieces of fabric I never bought totaling $35. I had to drive from Tulare back over to the store to ask for a refund. The assistant manager didn't comment just passed me off to a clerk who rang up a refund. I asked how this could happen. She said maybe the machine from the cut counter didn't clear before they started my cuts. She did tell me she was sorry as I was leaving. Warning to others... always check your fabric cut sheet (yellow) against what you bought. This has happened to me several times in the past and yet I usually don't want to drive back and use my gas so I forfeit it. I will now always take time to check it. read more

Went to Jo-Ann's fabric today for the grand opening in Visalia. Drove 30+ miles to get there so I left early, and got there 30 minutes early. I was given a number and was told that the number will guarantee you a gift card, so you don't have to stand in line, offered doughnuts and coffee while I waited at the front of the store. I didn't stand in line the whole 30 minutes I wander around the front of the store eating my doughnut before getting back in line. When I did get in the store I looked around to see where they were given out the gift cards, and shopped went and got some fabric cut and asked the girl who was helping me about the gift card and she was very apologetic and told me they were all given out. She then went to check by asking an employee that was calling out the numbers Maria, who just said no they were all given out, she seemed put out. When I ask how can that be I have a number that guaranteed me a card. She wouldn't even acknowledge me, or look at me, she kept looking around me and talking to another employee. The girl that was cutting my fabrics can see that it was escalating and she called someone else to get the manager. The third person that I encountered a (strawberry blond)she was very nice and seemed generally sorry. She walked my up to Anne who immediately said that all the gift cards were given out. I pulled out my number and just said how can that be I was guaranteed a gift card. Without hesitation she told that they went down the line and gave everyone a gift card that had a number. In the beginning I didn't feel that she wanted to do anything about it, all I kept saying was I was told I was guaranteed a gift card, then she told me we already have people claim the large prizes so I give $10 off you purchase. At this point I just wanted to leave, It was no longer about the gift card, half the people I dealt with wanted nothing to do with me and it showed. I felt my problem was just that my problem. As for the two girls that really went above and beyond to see that my problem was resolved you showed great customer service. Although I didn't catch your names, you two are awesome employees "it's about the customer"not how put out you are. By the time I checked out I was done and very shot to Monique, I just wanted to leave and wanted nothing further from this store.
