My husband and I were driving from Danville CA to attend one of his very close friends' Mother life celebration in Visilia. We needed last minute flower arrangements for their home and a large one for the church/country club event the next moring. Thank to Yelpers, we stopped by Creative Flowers, only 30 minutes before they closed. The owner and her daughter were beyond wonderful, friendly, sweet, and helpful. We chose a nice flower arrangement they had in the store. However, the star of this review was the large flower arrangement for church the very next morning. Since it was definetely the very last minute order, we relied on the owner to make it beautiful based on whatever flowers she has. The result of her work was beyond amazing. According to my husband's friend, who has very high standards: it was EXQUISITE and we agreed with him. The flowers were beautiful and fresh, very well designed, delivered on time and the white ribbon made it even more elegant. We were beyond happy... Owning a small business, especially a flower shop where the life span of these flowers is super short., isn't easy. It requires hard work, dedication and the heart and love and this shop has it all. Flowers attach to our emotion: either a celebration or time of sorrow and grief. The owner of this shop and her family definetely have all of the ingredients to deliver whatever our hearts ask for... I also alerted my son to expect a delivery. Late in the afternoon I got a call from him advising that nothing had been delivered. On checking, I found an earlier email advising me of the flower cancellation due to the specific flowers being unavailable. Even though the shop was closed for the day, I called the florist number and ended up talking directly to Michelle, the owner. On hearing my story, Michelle quickly volunteered to make a similar arrangement and also deliver it to my son and DIL. She was extremely kind to offer that (it was late on a Saturday afternoon and her store was closed). She not only made a very lovely replacement, she delivered it too. My kids were thrilled and loved the flowers! Michelle went above and beyond to help out this very happy customer and I highly recommend her floral shop. On a positive note, I was relieved the order was delivered by 2 pm since her shift ends at 3 pm. However, I was not thrilled with the pics my niece texted me of the arrangement that was delivered to her. When selecting an arrangement on the FTD web site, the first thing that caught my attention about this specific arrangement (Star of the Day Floral Cake) was the adorable "Happy Birthday" star topper. This topper was missing. Surprised the florist failed to substitute a floral pick, or something comparable at least. Also, this arrangement was supposed to have 4 straight white candles. It only came with 2, and they were colored and wavy, which made it nearly impossible to see against the colored floral background. Finally, I paid extra for a mylar balloon. The arrangement was delivered with a balloon that I personally feel did not compliment the colors of the flowers, and was not fully inflated. When my niece brought the flowers home that afternoon, the balloon was already half deflated! I'm sure it will be completely deflated and on the floor by the end of the day :(
