They have very large selection of fabric and many, many accessories. They sell sewing machines, they sell sewing tables and assorted furniture. It is owned by a husband and wife. I always seem to deal with Jim and he truly is one of the kindest, and giving men I have ever met. They always run various specials and they have a wonderful deal where you buy this box that has all kinds of samples of notions etc, there is also some kind of voucher in the box where you get a free yard of material every month. Along with that special if you buy a machine you then get 20% off for the next I don't know how many years. They have terrific values in their clearance section too. The clearance section is always changing so keep watching it!

The fabrics he has are beautiful, the service to repair machines is efficient and thorough and it's the place to go if you are in the market for a machine. I made a quilt that was just on the edge of being beyond my skill and the staff helped me and reassured me. When I took it back to have it quilted, they were so thorough and helpful in selecting the thread, the pattern, etc. I was making the quilt as a gift and was so worried how it would turn out -- because I am a worrier. I went there had the fabric cut, found some matching thread, Also found a few Christmas items on sale. I went to check out. No cashier so I had to press a call button. I clearly hear a cashier is in the way. Meanwhile, at least 5 minutes have passed and now there is a huge line. I waited. few more minutes then decided to leave. This is not the first time this has happened. It's a shame the fabric was cut but I but it obvious they company does not care loosing customers. I doubt I'll ever go back to a Joann Fabric store and I will not order on mine from them. I did however ordered my things from Etsy. I paid triple, but it was already made and I supported a small business. Joann Fabric your too cheap to pay a cashier. It's obvious your also to cheap to install a self checkout. I'm sure you'll be out of business soon enough.

I did receive partial credit for the order, but that isn't really the point---the point was to have a quick and easy purchase. I provided the photo (attached)---good policy would be to immediately ship replacement thread, not put me through the hassle of redoing everything with a process that I now do not trust. How hard can it be to put a little paper into a box so that spools of thread don't unspool in transit?

No point ever going anywhere else for my fabric and trim needs. Got my curtains, upholstery, and throw pillow fabrics all for about fifty dollars. TDO is an amazing place for decorators, quilters, and costumers. I don't know for certain, but I think the inventory has to be mostly mill ends, or the prices could never be this low. So don't expect the very newest fashions, but do expect good value for your projects.

It smelt like mothballs in there. You have to wash your fabric immediately once you get it because it stinks in there. All the styles of fabric were dusty and tough. Everything was overpriced and you are limited to an outdated selection of textiles and prints! The service was bad. Everybody has an attitude. I will never be back. Things have changed drastically at this store and it is not worth the hype.
