In what I thought was a private room, I spoke about other health concerns and medications that might be affecting my eye health. On a follow up visit I realized that the walls don't even touch the ceiling. The conversation I had was not private at all. I could hear all of that patients conversation. It was just unsettling. This place seems fine enough for a basic exam and glasses but not if you want to discuss your health concerns in private.

Well, after today (3/31/25) I am definitely looking for a new eye doctor…read more I have been a patient for over 25 Years. Unfortunately in recent years your service has gone downhill. Doctors don't stay and my treatment today from your lady optician was just wrong. I had my exam and purchased 2 very expensive pairs of glasses the end of January. When the clear glasses came in I didn't like the frame color. I went to your office to see about buying a different color and was told I would have to make an appointment to talk to anyone. I didn't have time for that so I went home and ordered a new identical frame in the color I wanted. I switched the lenses to the new frame when it came in. Unfortunately the lenses got scratched in the process. So I brought you the frame and scratched lenses so you could replace the lenses. You sent the glasses in to have the lenses replaced. When they came in the frame was damaged. The optician agreed they were damaged and suggested she could order a replacement frame and switch the lenses when the frame comes in. I asked multiple times to make sure the color is the same as the ones I wanted (This was different than the frame color originally purchased but other than color is an identical brand new frame). She assured me they were. I even came back into the store to make sure and she once again assured me she had the same model and color ordered. Well that frame came in and it is not the color I wanted. Obviously the optician knew they weren't right because the first thing she said was "this is the color that came in". Again, this was a brand new frame that I would have bought from you but nobody would help me in a timely fashion! Now, today, the optician tells me you cannot warranty my damaged frame even though it was damages by YOUR lab putting the new lenses in it. She explained that she should have had me sign a waiver..... Well she didn't do that. Instead she assured me multiple times that the correct frame color was being ordered. Now I have a pair of very expensive glasses with a damaged frame that looks like it could come apart any minute. This is not the right way to do business. I will find a new eye doctor and will spend my money elsewhere. My wife will do the same and I will share my experience with others as well. Its too bad. I have been a loyal patient/customer for a very long time. I'm sorry to see that your business can't or won't provide the good service it used to. If you would like to change your mind and do the right thing by ordering a new frame in the same color as the one you installed the lenses in I would be happy to reconsider. Everyone makes mistakes. But if you want to stand by your optician and treat a good customer very badly then I am done!

In leaving my reviews of finding their experience with office staff to be unsatisfactory, an employee left me a voice mail stating that I am being defamatory and they would seek legal action against me for leaving my honest review. Let's be clear, my truthful review was not defamatory, as it was my experience that Cari was rude, and she stated if I wanted to escalate my complaint to Dr. Ash I would have to pay out of pocket for an eye exam and that would be the *ONLY* way to lodge my complaint.

If I could give a zero I would. He blotched my friends cataract surgery and left pieces of the old…read morecataract lens broken inside the eye. Dr Petty told my friend the lens would dissolve over time. In the meantime he went to another eye surgeon in Durango who was appalled at the result and scheduled an another eye surgery next week to remove the broken lens left by Dr. Petty. He has floaters in his eye now and blurred vision. After you have heard of an experience like this and ask around others have said similar stories. Always check throughly and ask the medical community before a surgery. Even my own personal Dr. would not recommend him.
