Yesterday, we had another technician from another company who broke the locks on our front door (see my review for Northside Lockshop). After that debacle, my husband contacted Job Done Locksmith this morning, and their company name is no lie! They definitely get the job done and with quality! First of all, Roni was on time. He evaluated what yesterday's technician did and explained what that technician did wrong. Roni's communication is top notch, thorough in his explanation of what he was doing to fix our front door. The price was reasonable (not inflated at all), and his quality of work was excellent. Now, we have a fixed front door; and we hope to have Roni back next week to redo the rest of our locks. We had an emergency re-keying due to a burglary where one of the things taken was a spare key. He got right out, re-keyed all the cylinders and replaced two bad lock sets. He seemed to have everything on his small truck to complete the job. When we talked, he told me he had a bigger truck for more complicated jobs, but he used the mini-van so he can park easily. Roni was quick to respond and while scheduling a time to meet me, which was going to be later in the day, I had my children screaming and crying/arguing in the background, I clearly was frazzled and in distress. He seemed to pick up on this on the other end of the phone, asked if I had a place to wait where the kids and I would be comfortable/safe and out of the cold from todays storm and I said we would hunker down in the car and watch Netflix so I didn't have to drive in these conditions. To this he responded, 'ok give me 15 minutes please' showed up in about 10 and gets us in our house in under a minute. Wouldn't let me pay extra for him going out of his way to save us, was amazing with my kids, way cheaper than what we've paid with other locksmiths in Denver. Wow. Thank God we didn't keep trying to use our cheap Amazon kit to get our broken key out of our apartment's lock. From hanging up with him getting to the front door, Roni was here within 30 minutes and had the piece out in less than 15, and it was pushed way far back. I was able to schedule an appointment as soon as I wanted and we worked with Harry on changing our front door handle/lock hardware, adding some deadbolts to exterior doors and rekeying the house. He was easy to communicate with, available to answer my questions (via text) about a few different sets of hardware and a keypad lock which was helpful. I felt the pricing was fair. We found ourselves locked out of our office one morning as our keys, which had worked perfectly fine the day before, suddenly failed to do the job. After much jimmying and jiggling, someone was able to get us inside and we immediately went online and found Job Done on yelp. Thankfully for us, Roni was able to come that day to check it out. We live in a very beautiful 1890 Victorian home in Denver. We love our 129 year old house, but it has many idiosyncrasies including the deadbolt on the original front door. Fabulous service! We just bought our first home, and wanted a locksmith in ASAP to change the locks.
