I found JobStars from researching resume writing services on Yelp. I emailed about 5-6 companies for quotes (resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile), samples of their styles of writing and design, and if they would be able to tailor them to different job fields. Doug was actually one of the first to email me back. I immediately favored his template and I even showed my girlfriend the three templates (without telling which one I preferred) and she agreed that Doug's was the best. Doug's writing style is professional, easy to read, and the template was very appealing and eye-catching. The next day, I called Doug to ask him a few questions. I used the LinkedIn "request a professional" service to find a resume service. I received quotes from 6 resume writers. After 2 weeks of researching them, I chose JobStars. Doug was very responsive by phone and email. I liked that he has both a digital info submission process as well as a phone intake conversation for clarification where he recorded my responses. He gave suggestions and answered all my questions to clarifying his rationale. He found a way to incorporate into my resume most of the things that were important to me even if he didn't think they were most relevant. The last service I'd used 6 years ago had cut my resume down to 1 page and eliminated quite a bit of relevant info. Doug helped my to flush that info out and brought my resume back to life.
