He was really polite and organized and responsive but I needed someone to flex more muscle sort of speak given that the other side was really tough, pushy and making ridiculous requests which lead to a lot of unnecessary back and forth and which lead to me getting substantial billings. Hiring a lawyer should bring peace of mind and confidence that someone is advocating for your best interests. Sadly, that was not my experience. I would not recommend this attorney if you're looking for someone who will truly stand up for you and provide real value for what you pay for.

Hardly ever returned calls or emails in a timely fashion. 3. When I had an emergency in my divorce regarding my children, I called his office and he took two weeks to return my call. The only reason he called me back is because the Law Guardian called for an emergency hearing. When we went to court for the hearing he wasn't prepared to represent what happened even though I supplied him with evidence which would have helped my case. 4. After firing him, he refused to send me my file unless I paid him a final bill. Once I did, the file was so small that my new attorney was shocked and mentioned that I should sue him once the case was over with. Luckily for him, I didn't.

At the end, he made a verbal agreement with me to charge my ex for the attorney fees, per the court document, but he stated his concern that the fees would not get paid, so he asked ME to pay the fees upfront, and promised that he would relentlessly go after my ex to get the money which would then be turned over to me. I discovered about a month later that my ex had paid half of the fee. After multiple calls to the office, I finally received a check for that amount. When I pressed them about the second half of the fee, I was told that Dean was "tired" of pursuing it. Of course, I had already paid the entire fee! And when I called him on it, he suddenly became very nasty, and threatened that if I attempted to file a complaint against him, I would end up looking ridiculous. The basic things for any lawyer to do is meet with their client before any hearing she does not even though she did not see or hear from the person for over 6 months. How can you speak for that person? And turn around charge the person $4500 for that 30 minutes court hearing? If that is not scam I really do not know what is . For her to show up for a hearing, it could cost you between $3,000 and $4,000. She seems indifferent to her clients, focusing only on dragging out cases. Whenever the opposing side makes requests, she does not advocate for her clients; she allows things to drag on unnecessarily. A friend of mine hired her, and she completely ruined them. They had to file for bankruptcy, and the other side won everything. She lied to them throughout the hearing and essentially sold them out to the opposing side. If you are currently represented by her, I urge you to leave; it will not get better, and you may face serious consequences. Her retainer fee is $5,000, which quickly disappears in charges. It's a shame to see how divorce court allows people like her to exploit vulnerable individuals. She was even late for court once, and when the person called to check on her arrival, they were charged $160 for that brief phone call. A case that should take three months to a year took over four years. For a trial, she charges over $12000 for just that one day. Ultimately, the individual lost everything and is now homeless. I will go on every platform and expose this person. She should not allowed to scam and misleading people like that.
