He informed me that the vehicle is not available. I asked as to why it was still listed as available. He gave me the excuse that it takes time to delete them from the system. I replied that it should not be listed as available since it is not. He hem-hawed, etc. He was pleasant and asked if I wanted him to find another similar vehicle. I replied, "No, the one you still have listed is not available. Why would I trust your dealership again?" (Paraphrasing) as the conversation ended he just hung up. We were getting the run-around from Plaza without getting an understanding of the root cause for a needed hefty repair. Called dealership service center and they told us to come over on our lunch and they ended up looking over our paperwork, when we were just looking for a quote, and saving us literally $500 for a repair not needed, or even the recommended route of repair for said issue - not to mention they helped us out tremendously with our "lost key" to anti-theft locking lug nuts. I feel like we owe these guys and they have no idea how much stress, time and money they saved us. THANK YOU. My vehicle broke down near Columbia and had it towed to this dealership, was the worst decision I have ever made. Here's the story: My service advisor Tim told me multiple times that they'd have my 17' Jeep Renegade diagnosed by Tuesday. When I called him he pushed it back to Wednesday, then to Thursday, and then when he got it diagnosed on Friday told me I had a warped lower block. Through this I had to rent a car cause they refused to let me have a loaner due to one not being available. I said I could wait in town for a few days to get one, and Tim told me he would get me one when available. After 4 days and pushing back my job and just had to get to my destination. Decided to do a trade in and was talking to Carson telling him my price range and what I was looking for and had a few options picked out with him. When I got there Saturday, Carson was unavailable and was told I could trust Rich. I went over all the same specs I needed and the options me and Carson had picked out. Rich kept only showing me options that were out of said range and was virtually forced to buy something that was more expensive than planned. Since I had to be back in Tennessee by Monday for my job. And couldn't be back till next Saturday. The vehicle I did finally get blew a tire within 50 miles. Looked at where it blew and the tire plug they put in failed so I had to hire a tire tech to fix it. Since it was so close to the tire wall he suggested to use the spare and get it replaced the next day. Going to this dealership for anything will be the worst decision you'll make when buying a vehicle or repairing one. read more

Horrible service! First trip was ok, but they needed to order my part. Second trip , wrong part (after a lengthy wait). Third trip, 2 hour wait "sorry we can't get to you today and we have no loaners. Fourth trip, 3 hours in waiting and my jeep never moved off the lot. When I asked I was told it'd be over an hour more wait till they could even get to it and it was an over hour job (total lie about job time). 4 trips later still no warranty repair. At least an entire day wasted waiting in the service dept. Repair manual shows a 15 min job, each visit I waited more than 2 hours before they would tell me it'd be another hour more. No offer of a loaner. They erased my past reviews and still no management has contacted me to make this right. I'm escalating my complaints to all review platforms and Jeep wave. read more

This dealership cannot be trusted!!!! I'll try to keep this brief but my daughter took her 200 Chrysler in for work due to an oil leak. She only took it to the dealership because she thought it was still under her bumper to bumper warranty. She was a couple miles over her warranty so it wasn't covered. They gave her an estimate to fix her car in the amount of $4700. Her dad asked for an itemized estimate and found that her estimate included all kinds of things not related to the problem including new spark plugs, struts etc. We own an auto repair shop locally so my husband took the estimate to our own shop and looked up all the parts listed, which came to a total of around $800/cost. So the rest of the $4700 estimate was markup and labor AND included parts that weren't really needed to correct the oil leak. Unbelievable!!!! We fixed her car at our shop for a fraction, granted we didn't charge any markup on the cost and our hourly labor charge is much less but this kind of mark up is AWFUL!!!! Don't take your car here if you know what's best for you. They are going to take you for all they can and unfortunately most people wouldn't know that the parts/repairs listed for the other items had nothing to do with her oil leak. Terrible. You grow up hearing about how dealerships are a rough when it comes to buying a vehicle but I have never been more disappointed with an experience in my life. I made the mistake of giving a second chance after we purchased my wifes vehicle going back. First time around a sales manager literally slapped the table in front of her (he still works there I believe). Second time I was told my vehicle would be there in two days it took over two weeks and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau before they finally made it a priority. I recently purchased a new vehicle from Christian at joe machens jeep around 3 weeks ago. He was wonderful and is the first salesman to follow up with me AFTER purchasing the vehicle and making sure everything was ok. It made a huge difference because when he checked in I told him the only issue is for some reason the rear view mirror drops slowly, he got me in and they are replacing the rear view mirror. I believed him Bc the price was crazy lower than anyone around that Iv looked at and believe me Iv looked all around since Nov. In searching for a Rav4 with the exact features I wanted (without paying an exorbitant price), I found a listing at Joe Machens. However, I live in St. Louis. A 2+ hour drive added to the stress of car shopping and negotiation sounded like, well, Hell...but the price was good enough (about $2K below the average listing I was finding in STL for the same flipping car) that I called to see if there was a catch. And I'm pretty happy I called! I got Zach Hardin on the phone who checked the original vehicle I called about, 2 other vehicles matching my description that they also had, and 2 other vehicles on another lot across town! I explained I didn't want to make a futile drive and was on a time constraint, so he had the cars collected & brought to his lot where they waited, keys in ignition, when I arrived. It's an unfortunate experience as a woman that you get talked down to a lot when car shopping. While I don't have a problem listening to someone with more expertise in a field than I have, I'm research-oriented and know my exact likes & dislikes...and don't need to be sold on extra touted features. I never felt any of this with Zach. He was honest, treated me as a peer, answered every question I had with the in-depth detail I was looking for, and even found a flaw (for me) in the car I originally came to view! I ended up loving one of the other cars Zach had gathered for me (and bought it). And it turns out Joe Machens is an USAA (military) approved dealership so I got a USAA discount added in at the end as well! All around fantastic experience. I was a little leery about going to a Joe Machens dealership, as they are ubiquitous in the Columbia area and was worried they would be like the Wal-Mart of car dealerships with impersonal and self-serving service, without the discounted prices. Well I was wrong about my fears, it was much worse than I could have ever imagined. I would like to recommend that you never, ever, EVER, buy a car from a Joe Machens dealership, but if someone has a gun to your family's head, and they threaten to murder them all unless you shop at Joe Machens, I will give you 4 tips on what to be on the look out for. (BTW I wouldn't put that sales tactic past them, plus I would still have to think about actually shopping there again in that scenario) First: If you are looking at vehicles on the Joe Machens Jeep dealership website, and you find a 1 year old used Jeep that you know is the car you want, and you schedule a test drive on that Jeep website, and you go to the Jeep dealership at the agreed time, it turns out, that vehicle may actually be at the Joe Machens Toyota dealership for some strange reason. Then, when you tell them you scheduled a test drive with Jamie, and give them the VIN number of the car you want to look at, they will lie to you, and tell you that car has already been sold, and start talking to you about new options and try to "get the payments to work." This lie started the nightmare. (The Jeep was still available at the other Joe Machens dealership as I got an email later from Jamie asking why I didn't show up for the test drive.) Second: If you do look at cars at Joe Machens, be sure to bring rations with you for sustenance, as you will wait for an ungodly amount of time to actually see a car. I went to take a look at cars twice, and both times it took between 1 and 2 hours to actually even see a car. They keep their vehicle on a different lot, which must be several miles away. The salesman must drive over to the other lot, search through all of the cars to try to find a match, and then drive back. But then sometimes the car is actually blocked in by another car, so they have to come back, get keys to the other car and move it, before bringing the car you really want to see. Literally, it took 2 hours for them to get my car the second time I visited. We were supposed to go to lunch after looking at cars, and we nearly died of starvation by the time we left. Third: Make sure to look at the actual sticker price on the car before the negotiations. My car did not have a sticker displayed in the window, which I later found hidden in the car after purchasing it. I have found out it is federal law that the sticker must be placed in the window or it is $1,000 fine for the dealership. Well after the purchase, I looked through the numbers on the sticker and I noticed I was charged over $1,500 more than the sticker price, even though it was a demo vehicle that already had 1,500 miles on it. I also noticed they also did not include the Off Road accessory kit that was supposed to be included with the vehicle. Very, very shady on their part. So know that sticker price and everything you are supposed to get before you start negotiating. Fourth: Bring your own auto loan calculator with you! There are a lot of numbers flying around, and when you get to the finance guy he will have written down a monthly payment that includes a ton of insurance and warranties you don't really need. Now I am not going to either encourage or discourage buying an extended warranty, that is for you to decide if it makes sense for you, but run the numbers yourself, do not let them do it for you. The numbers they gave me were mis-represented, and I was told that adding the warranty would only be 25 more dollars per month, so I decided to get it. When I got home, I went through the numbers myself, and it turns out the warranty was costing me an extra $50 dollars a month. I did not appreciate being lied to again. To their credit, I was able to stop by and cancel my warranty without a fee after I learned about their deception. I know that you should come to accept shady sales tactics at dealerships, but Joe Machens Jeep went way above and beyond with their shadiness and lies. I will never shop with them again, and neither will my family or anyone else that I am able to convince. read more

There were so many red flags when dealing with our sales person starting with the test drive. The side step rails on the SUV wouldn't come down like they should, the Sales person wouldn't let us drive the car as long as we wanted, and when we got back to the dealership the car started shaking. We wee assured it hadn't gone through service and everything would be fixed. The sales person outright said "your fiancé needs to be here since he makes the money." I should have gotten up right then and there since we had already talked about how it would be MY vehicle, MY money, and MY name on everything. However; I really liked the car so I tried to brush it off. I told him what I wanted my monthly payments to be and how much I was willing to spend, but he insisted on calling my fiancé to have his input. My paperwork was all messed up. They combined mine and my fiancé's information, causing me to have to sign paperwork three times. They even had to send someone to my job just for me to sign paperwork interrupting me and the information they had for me was still wrong! The worst part of everything was the vehicle wasn't even fixed properly! The first night we had the car it's started shaking again. We brought it back two days later (because between me working two jobs that's when I had time), but they couldn't catch the car shaking so they gave it back without any maintenance done. We had to actually get a video of the car shaking and making noise just for them to looking into the issue. After two days of mot having the car I had to actually go to the dealership in person to get any information. I was told to speak to the sales person to have services approved, but when I talk d to him he told me to talk to the service manager. Once I was actually able to get in touch with the service manager I was told the sales person should have talked to me because all They needed was my approval to have the car sent to Ford to be looked at. Once the vehicle was at Ford they discovered it wouldn't have even passed inspection! The brakes were metal on metal, oil pump needed to be replaced, and there were other issues totaling around $4,000. When the car was dropped off to my fiancé the sales person went on about how great of a car it is, how when it first came out it was a $100,000 car (which is false), he went on to say how much work they did on it, how expensive the parts are, how repairs can be quite costly on a luxury vehicle, and lastly laughed saying "This is the last bit of work we will do on it, the next parts are on you." He even said He tried to talk us out of the car, when in reality he was very persistent on selling is the car. At the end of everything Ford was the place that fixed everything and made it all right. If it aren't for Ford we wouldn't have a working vehicle. read more

I have to give these individuals 5 stars without a doubt! My employers daughter goes to college in Missouri and unfortunately she misplaced her vehicle's key. I initially Google'd a different dealership in which they were very helpful however very far from her residence. After applying her address Joe Machens Chrysler came up as the nearest to her college & residence. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Justin in the parts department. Justin informed me that they actually had that particular key in stock. So, I just had to have my boss's daughter make sure to get her vehicle there as soon as possible. Long story short she had triple AAA tow the vehicle the next day. I contacted Justin & he informed me that they were already working on the car it shouldn't take too long until she could come & pick her new key & car. I just want to state that I am in California and they are in Columbia, MO (3 hours ahead of me) they were kind, professional, courteous I highly recommend them in every fashion. Terrible customer service at Joe Machens Dodge Service Center. Not only could they not fix my car, but they left me hanging for 5 days and didn't call me to tell me they didn't even have the tool needed to work on my car. I came from Texas to Missouri because my Grandmother was dying of cancer. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram Van that was having computer problems and I had the computer changed in Texas the day I left. I got here two days before my grandmother passed. She passed on Saturday and the funeral was the following Saturday. On Thursday, my van was having problems again and I took it to Joe Machens. They told me they would check it out "today or tomorrow" and call me back by Friday afternoon. No call on Friday at all. Monday morning I called them to check on it. The person who answered in service couldn't find my van. They didn't have any idea what was happening with it and they would "call me back by end of business." No call again. So I called them about 5:15. I was told the service center was closed so I would have to call back Tuesday. By now I had spend $800 renting another van for the funeral and on hotel days waiting for Joe Machens. I needed to know something because I couldn't stay in Missouri forever. She then put me on hold for about 10 mins. Then she came back and told me they didn't have the tool to work on my van. I need to come pick it up. I went in to pick it up on Tuesday afternoon. The service rep that told me she would call me back on Friday told me my van had a 5 amp draw. Apparently my fault. "You got yourself a 5 amp draw." She told me they looked "everywhere" for the short but couldn't find it. I don't know how they looked everywhere if they only worked on it Tuesday morning. Also, I asked her if they looked at the ABS circuit because it was giving me an error light and I thought he ABS might be where the short is. She assured me again the looked at "everything." How could they look at everything if it wasn't fixed? Doesn't "everything" encompass the part that has a problem? She wouldn't answer my questions and kept dodging. You could tell she didn't know anything about what she was talking about but kept acting like she did. She would only repeat that they checked "everything" and refused to let me talk to the technician because I raised my voice to her. I took my van with no results from 5 days at Joe Machens and I spent $800 renting a car and a hotel room because they would never return my calls like they promised and they didn't do anything for me. The red headed lady that is the service rep is disrespectful and doesn't give a crap about customers service. They don't know what good customer service is. All they had to do was call me. JM I wouldn't recommend this dealership. We've been dealing with them for a month now and it's one of the most stressful things I've done in awhile. First we found a truck we liked so we went ahead on the finance option, they told us that they will need some time because it was a holiday and the banks closed early so we were like that's fine. Well they asked if we can take the truck with us while they compete the finance part, we didn't hear anything for about a week or so we would call up there and no one would answer the phones. We would show up and wait an hour or so before anyone would talk to us. So after about a week of that we moved on to a new issue, getting the title for the truck. This process took about 3 to 4 weeks to get. We again tried to call up there and got no answer again, this happened multiple times. So then we show up and get told that the title has been sent to the bank which the bank has been waiting for for 3 to 4 weeks. They told us about 6 times that the title was sent to the bank and the bank confirmed that didn't happen. So we finally hope it's been sent after all this time but who knows yet. Then the transmission started having issues and we bought a warranty but when I try to talk to them about it they don't answer phones yet again and our sales person doesn't text us back. So I would recommend going somewhere else unless you want people not answering phone, running you around in circles and not helping you with the warranty information. This was definitely the worst car buying experience I've ever had. read more

Two weeks ago I started talking with Jamie Vestal about Grand Caravans. He told me he would have several ready for me along with bringing some up from Jefferson City. My wife and I made arrangements for babysitting, etc. I confirmed my appointment the day of, but when we got there, Jaime was "with some other clients." He wasn't... He did not have any Grand Caravans lined up for us. There were no vehicles brought up from Jefferson City. We were shown one car that was so overpriced for the mileage and the fact was that there were scrapes and rust on the interior of the van. We were told if we wanted to, we could wait while they searched for more. We said no thanks. As we were leaving we saw Jaime driving around the lot in a golf cart with another employee. Definitely looked like he was busy with other clients... We will never use this dealership and will persuade anyone that asks to go elsewhere. I wish I could give them zero stars. read more

My experience there was less than a whole star rating. I understand that it is a dealer's job to make a sell on a vehicle, however, it is also important to listen to the customer and match a car that they want to see. My fiancé and I went to Joe Machens to get price information about the new Ram 1500 eco-diesel. Our goal was originally just to hop out and roam their lot to see if they had any (the truck is by online-order only right now). We had already test drove one at another dealership, but we were just browsing prices at different locations. We weren't even out of the car fully when a sales guy came up to us asking if he could help us. We stated we are just looking around and gathering information at this point. He says, come on inside and I can see if we have what you are looking for. We went into the lobby and he got us each a beverage (big whoop). He immediately asked us for our information (name, address, email, numbers) and then what we were looking for. We said Ram 1500 eco-diesel. We weren't super picky and just asked for one level up from a tradesman (those have crank windows and no power doors). He asked about credit and price range. we told him between 30 and 40,000. (Like we said we were just looking at prices, not trying to buy or test drive.) He also asked for a color preference- we said dark colors and spent about 5 minutes discussing what colors we had in mind (black, charcoal, dark blue, maybe dark red- but all were dark) He said, "Give me a minute, I'll see if I have any matches" Twenty minutes rolls by and he found 3 matches. He then tells us that they are over at another lot and he will be back in five minutes with them. Twenty minutes later, the first truck comes to the lot. It's black. He shows us the truck and asks us if we would like to test drive it. We said no, we know what a truck feels like and asked if it was a eco-diesel. He told us that all three matches are gas engines. We were mentally thanking him for wasting our time there, hoping that all the matches were diesels. He says, this one is on sale and I can get ya a heck of a deal. We said, no this isn't what we want. He goes back inside to talk to his boss and see if they have any eco-diesels. We were getting bored and irritated from waiting that we were about to leave when he said, "Actually, we have an eco-diesel!" He explains that they let people test drive it for a sample truck, since they are online order only. Mind you, we said we wanted a baseline model, between 30k-40k, and dark. This truck was parked in the shop area, like it needed work, so I said what is wrong with it? He said someone put it in the wrong spot. (Likely story) We open the doors and it is a Laramie LongHorn, which runs close to 50,000 and it is white. Again, we already know how it feels like so we don't need a test drive. It is out of our imaginary price range and it isn't a color we want. He says, "If we can get you a good deal on this today, would you be willing to take it home today?" No. We aren't buying today. We wanted numbers, and figures, and potential monthly payment estimates. Why would we want to be pressured into buying a truck that isn't the color we want? We basically said, "We'll keep looking, thanks." Not all dealerships run this way. I am a dodge fan but I wouldn't buy anything from them. They don't listen to know what the customer is looking for and wastes their time while they show vehicles that they want you to buy. I don't even remember him introducing himself or asking what our names were. I rather feel a genuine relationship with a sales person. Someone that will bring you to their office to talk and look through their database, not just leave you alone in the lobby. Place was HORRIBLE sorry for late review but I purchased a car from them about a month ago, I really needed a car so I looked for the best shaped one. The car I went looking for as a 2009 Chevy impala, when I arrived I saw the front windshield had a giant VERY noticeable crack on it. a look inside revealed under the seats was a lot of trash from Wendy's and the car smelled like smoke. So I thought hey maybe they'll honor it and replace the windshield and clean it I tried a test drive. Made a very loud noise so I pulled into a parking lot and checked the engine, oil was low and transmission fluid stick was DRY AS A BONE. So that was a no I looked at plenty of other cars with very visible damage there was an avenger that had a giant dent with paint chipped off on the center of the trunk. So I ended up with a Toyota corolla, had a cracked tail light that looked super glued and quite a few scratches/chips. Fast forward a week later. I decide it's time to clean the car now it all looked clean but I never checked under the seats when I bought it. So when I was about to vacuum underneath I look and of course i find some trash and peanut shells but what really pissed me off is I found a live ammunition round of what appeared to belong to the M4 carbine. I knew it wasn't mine because the ones we get issued at ranges (US Army soldier) have green tips, this one was orange or amber. I have never been issued a tracer round or any round with anything but green when firing the M4. In a concise review: STAY THE HELL AWAY. DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I was screwed over on a truck they knew was bad and still sold it to me. Customer service is terrible they pretty much tried to rush me out take my money and hope to never hear from me again. As I was leaving the parking lot the check engine light turns on! On a brand new truck 2019 ram 18 k miles. When I took it back management lied and said they serviced the truck and putting in about 2k before putting it on the lot. For one that was a lie, on my way back to the dealership I stopped by a o'Reillys and checked it for codes and was told with the code it had it was most likely cleared and never fixed!! The truck was supposably cleaned but it was dirty on the outside and even worse on the inside all they did there was just vacuumed it. I waiting almost a month for them to fixed and kept getting lied to from one promise date to the other. Not once did they take the time to explain what happened or give me any updates I had to call them! And each time I called I could tell they didn't want to speak to me nor did they know what was going on. What kind of dealership is that, when I told them I wanted to cancel the contract and just be on my way they lied and said the truck is already purchased and nothing can be done. No help in service, I purchased a quad cab silverado from them used and had them fix the things that were wrong. 3 months later my + battery terminal comes off and it won't start. I replaced the bolt in the terminal for one that wouldn't fall off. I called the service department to see if the were willing to look at it, bearing in mind i don't live in Columbia, and they wouldn't look at it unless i payed them. I payed over $11,000 for this truck and now it won't run. Pretty shitty service. I had it towed to someone more local and they tell me it's going to cost $550 to fix. is it my fault to expect better customer service from a dealership. I guess so. I will look to another dealership in future for better service and support. this dealership sucks, they just take the money and say F.U. read more

What a rip off. Had an oil leak on my son's Jeep. I instructed my son to take the Jeep to the dealer to have it checked out. They found the source quickly and provided an estimate to repair for $975. Not only did they inflate the cost of parts by over 75% they billed an additional $89 just to look at the Jeep. I would understand if they provided an estimate but I then decided to take the Jeep elsewhere to be repaired, but I didn't. I had them make the repairs as well. I am not even talking about the usual inflated hours per their repair guide with the hourly charge per repair. I know this is not the service tech that makes this policy. Do not take your vehicle to this place for service especially if you are a woman! I took my 2015 jeep grand cherokee there and they supposedly fixed it 3 x. Cost me thousands of dollars and about a week or so every time it had the SAME problem! After the 3rd time the con artist service manager MIKE whom promised me my car would be fixed under warranty blah blah blah suprised me with " oh your car needs a new motor and the parts alone will be 5000! Wow and at 52000 miles he said naw now warranty even though I have one! So in the end my car was never fixed and they ripped me off a ton of money around 3000 plus! Purchased a jeep from them and have had major problems ever since. This weekend my jeep died and I had it towed to the dealership. I was told I had a bad alternater that would cost 550 dollars and a water pump for another 500 dollars to repair including 90 dollar diagnostic fee and a 50 dollar fee to recharge my battery!!! I told them I would pay diagnostic fee and to forget it. I drove it off the lot after they charged my battery. I then bought an alternator for 150 dollars at Carquest and replaced it myself in about 30 minutes with the help of my brother and a utube video. My car is running fine now! I'm gonna buy a 50 dollar waterpump and replace that myself tomorrow. I will have saved about 850 dollars by doing it myself. If they would have waived diagnostic fee or even the battery charging fee I might have had them do the work but it was a matter of principle at that point! 1050 dollars for alternater and water pump is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy a Jeep again. Update: I wanted to make it clear they ended up charging my battery up a bit for free when I picked up my vehicle. I think that was the right thing to do for the ridiculous diagnostic fee. read more

My Agency has a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan VIN # 2C4RDGCG7GR274180. We brought this vehicle to the Dodge dealership in Columbia, MO for service on two occasions. We had Five different staff members report that while driving the vehicle it would periodically pull very hard to the left. Both times we took the vehicle to Dodge they reported they could not find anything wrong. The problem still occurred so we took the vehicle to Big O tires on Providence road. Within ten minutes of driving the vehicle they experienced the same thing that was reported to our agency. They stated that it was the transmission and we needed to take it back to Dodge since it is still under warranty. We did this and again we were told they could find nothing wrong with the vehicle. We have Big O's statement in writing and provided Dodge with a copy. I called on 8-8-17 at 0845 and asked to speak with the service manager. After being placed on hold for 15 minutes the secretary said she was unavailable and would call me back. At 2pm I called back after not receiving a return call and was still not able to talk with her. At 2:30 I received a call back from "Renae". She said they drove the vehicle for approximately 100 miles and could not get the vehicle to do what we said was happening. I explained to her that we had five staff report the same thing, we had a statement from Big O tires in Columbia reporting that they experienced the same thing. She again said there was nothing she could do. I explained there was a lot of liability in the event of an accident with five staff reporting this, a statement from Big O tires reporting this. She became upset and said this conversation is over and hung up the phone. We picked up the vehicle and I contacted United Access where we purchased the vehicle. Scott the service manager at United Access talked with a mechanic at Dodge and they both agreed that the handicap conversion had nothing to do with what was going on with the vehicle. Scott reported that the service person stated they drove it approximately 100 miles and they could not get it to duplicate what we reported. We run our vehicles as fleet vehicles and we track miles on all of our vehicles. I am including the service report from Big O tires which states the mileage as 23,086 when we dropped it off to them. They drove the vehicle to determine the problem along with checking it out. We drove the vehicle back to our office 4.5 miles. Drove it around to see if it would happen again (which it did). Then took it to Dodge which is 3.6 miles. After we picked it from Dodge and brought it back to our office (another 3.6 miles) the mileage on the van was 23,149. My best guess is that van was driven at MOST 30 miles not the reported 100 miles that was reported twice. I feel that this is a health and safety concern. Dodge in Columbia, MO is putting my employees and the individuals that we support at risk due to negligence on their part in adequately trying to diagnose and fix a warranty problem with this vehicle. read more

I will never be visiting your establishment again. I bought my Jeep Wrangler from Joe Machens in November of 2011. I had asked for some simple things to be taken care of before we drove from Springfield to pick the car up. These things were not done but we had driven roughly 3 hours to get it and needed to drive 3 hours back. So, against my better judgement, we took the jeep home anyway. Then, a week or two later we had to come back because there was a leak. I was told it was covered under warranty and drove back to Columbia, stayed in a hotel room while it was repaired and then was asked to pay for the repair. It was taken care of but only after I raised concern. After all that, In January of 2012, the transmission went out on it. When we took it to the mechanic to get it checked out, we were informed that the transmission had been opened up before. According to the CarFax, there had been no previous transmission work done. After that, I sent an email to Joe Machens. I was not asking for a hand out but maybe just some shared responsibility in the failure. I feel like a reputable dealer would have known something like this had been done and no disclosure was made. So needless to say, I had to pay an extra $2600 a little over 2 months after I bought the vehicle not counting the extra costs in travel, lodging, meals etc. I wasn't expecting everything to be covered, I wasn't even sure if anything would be offered, but I didn't even get a response. Nothing. That was frustrating. So once again, thanks for the try but I will never step foot in a Joe Machens establishment again and I will also retell my experience with everyone that asks about my jeep. read more

hey need a add a negative five -5 star because for what these people do they deserve it! we end up getting a 2014 jeep grand cherokee, everything seem to fine until i read the carfax report, that we got a month later, via email! they never sent it in the mail like they said it would come, the carfax had my sister siignatur on there but it was for 11/12 which is not the date we sign off on everthing and on the carfax report, we found out the jeep had been in a car rear end accident!!! now this would be the first time we would hear about it. this would make more since at highway speeds you can hear wind noise louder than normal, we did ask for the car fax at the time of the deal our saleman (joe kelly) said it would come in the mail with all the rest of the paperwork which is my fault because i should have not trusted them but i did and we bought the truck without knowing that it was not worth what we had paid for it because of the accident, they also forgot to send out the sales tax check that was inclued in our final sale price, they make sure they take your money, the truck also had bald tires on it which they really didnt want to replace and would not give me new wiper blades for a truck i just bought !! believe our salesman " joe kelly ' and the rest of the people (floor manger and finance manager) held back that information on the car fax because they knew the deal would be dead in the water, yes it's a bit of our fault for not out right asking "has this car been in a accident" but i also feel stongly that the dealer should make sure that, if they really care about there customers they would say " hey the car was in a accident fyi" my mine issue is that the truck was not worth what we paid for it with a crash attach to its history report, don't just take these people word and look over thier product very carefully! they just want your money and that is all, they don't care about how u feel and they don't care what is best for their customer, and please don't trust joe jelly he is not to be trusted again if u find your self still going to this dealership even after reading this don't trust joe kelly the saleman !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! joe kelly and the rest knew the truck was in a crash and no one, not one single person said it was in a crash, which he finally amidit after the fact via phone. now we know why the car fax was never given while we were there joe kelly never sent the car fax until i kept asking for it via email, way to give the truth out after the fact. this is very poor customer service here is my honest and most truthful experience with joe machens chryser -5 five star now i see why the bbb does not back this dealership they are not a bbb accredited but they are fff accredited for sure!!! take your business else where please listen to this warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

as far as Customer service goes I would give them a zero star rating. Upfront everybody is nice and cordial. When it comes time to paying the bill they act like they're doing you a favor. Making customers feel like they are dumb is just not polite business. So the coupon said two oil changes w/ tire rotation $80 [$80] looked like a check. They got frustrated with me because they had to explain it to me again and the man shook his head and walked away. A woman came back and explained that she's never been told what I thought before. I get that in today's modern age of convenience people try to get out of paying a bill; but, don't make people feel dumb and don't disrespect them to their face. Again I understand there were a lot of people there and it's frustrating when you feel like your doing all you can and then you think some guy just doesn't want to pay.
