    I purchased a vehicle from Joe Machens Toyota last Saturday. During the sales process, I was told…read morethe vehicle was mechanically sound and had passed the dealership's inspection, which gave me confidence that it was safe and ready to drive. After looking the vehicle over myself, I had no reason to believe otherwise. Unfortunately, during the two-hour drive home, I began hearing a loud noise coming from the right front wheel area. After having the vehicle inspected, I learned that the right front wheel bearing is failing and needs to be replaced. The repair estimate is over $800, and I have been advised that the vehicle is not safe to continue driving until the issue is corrected. What concerns me most is that a vehicle represented as having passed the dealership's inspection and being mechanically sound developed a serious safety-related issue almost immediately after purchase. This problem was never disclosed to me prior to the sale. When I contacted the dealership yesterday, I was told to take the vehicle to my local Toyota dealership and that Joe Machens Toyota would cover the repair costs. Based on that assurance, I scheduled an appointment to have the work completed. However, when I called back this morning to confirm the arrangement, I was told they would not be paying for the repair after all. They also declined to repair the vehicle themselves or offer any assistance in resolving the situation. I understand that used vehicles can sometimes develop unexpected issues. What I do not understand is how a vehicle that was represented as mechanically sound and inspected by the dealership could have a failing wheel bearing severe enough to become obvious during the drive home. The change in position regarding the promised repair assistance only added to my disappointment. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle from this dealership obtain an independent inspection and get any promises regarding vehicle condition or repair assistance in writing before signing the paperwork.

I allowed the disenfranchised plastic salesman to run my credit and he came back with numbers for what I was willing to give as a down payment leading the monthly payment to be 600+ a month. I said no because I was not willing to go over my budget. I left. Well the weekend passes and I get an automatic message saying the were able to lower my monthly payments to a stunning 525 a month... Yeah no. I noticed they had a Hyundai Kona on the lot that looked interesting. I wanted to test it for fit because I have an issue with my hip and am looking for a bigger vehicle. I set up a test drive for that Monday at 10:15am. I took care of my business needed to set up a private loan for the car I am looking for then head off to the dealership. I get there and am told the guy I was working with was not even going to be there and I was "handed" off to someone else to work with. Telling me I wasn't even worth their time. I sit down with the call girl they handed me off to and I ask about the test drive and get told they were going to help me find something... So, I help her "narrow" down what I am wanting in a car. She goes to talk to her financial fecal manager. He comes over telling me my business would only be worth around 11k. They both tell me they have a Jeep renegade that might fit and proceeds to talk to me like I was stupid. I ask the girl about the Kona, the reason I came in and am told that ALL their Konas are all magically out on test drives and the only one they could get would be another dealership on the other side of town and how they haven't messaged them back. Ok... I ask about a VW Taos and am told that all of them are gone and they sold their last one. She gets up and says I am going to pull around the vehicle to test. I am thinking the Kona got back. Nope. She pulled around the Jeep. Wtf. They are professional bait and switch artists. So, if you want to get intimidated and pigeon holed into a POS car then yes indeed go get arse rammed by professionals. 10 out of 10 would recommend bringing you own lube cause you are going to get nailed.
