The Big Dog side at Joe Station

It's a pretty basic park because they just transformed an old baseball field into a dog park but our dog loves it nonetheless! We just came for the first time 5 days ago and we've been back 4 out of those 5 days! There a few toys scattered around (mostly tennis balls), a couple of kiddie pools (my dog's personal favorite), a water fountain, tons of pooper scoopers and plenty of seating for humans! We've never been to another dog park so we don't have much to compare it to but Fitz seems to like it just fine!

This is the only park open on Mondays and Tuesdays (when I have my dog) in Tulsa. My dog (BeeBee) is a dachshund / boxer mix (a boxhund, lol), and sometimes the dachshund in her can get her in trouble, but no major issues. Best times to go for lots of dogs and people is after 3pm. People get home from work and their dogs want to run and play! BeeBee and I go around 3pm on Tuesdays. I admin a Facebook singles group (Tulsa Area Single Mingle) and on Mondays, I post up the Dog Park as a group event starting at 7pm. The dog park is a great place to meet others! Always lots of activity...and dogs playing is a great ice breaker for meeting people! If you want to hang out by yourself and let your dog run free, it's good for that too! No pressure to talk or hang out with other people.

    Having fun at joe station!

It is an old ball park field but works great! Plenty of room for the pups to run it out. Appreciate the Small/Large dog separation.

The head of parks was here with the mayor a couple of months ago. She promised the city would provide poop bags. We all hope she keeps her word. The people and dogs are all there for fun. She has so much fun with other dogs and it's always been a good experience for us! The park is clean and bags are provided for poo pickup. Everyone is always really great about picking up after their doggo. You can count on at least one dog fight on the big dog side if you stay more than an hour or two, other than that, the big dog side looks pleasant as well. My dog has never picked up any ticks, fleas, or illnesses that I know of from here. She stays up on her vaccines and prevention meds too, so I'm sure that helps. There are water pumps, bowls, and shade too. Plenty of places for dog parents to sit while the fur baby plays. Will continue to go to this park.

As stated before, food trucks is something I always look forward to, especially while working in the area during lunchtime. Guthire Green hosts a Food Truck Wednesday that takes place from 11am - 1/2pm (it's seasonal). The food trucks usually have different rotations. Selections from tacos to lemonades to Greek food. Mayfest, Hip Hop 918, (part of) Tulsa Tough... Guthrie Green is included in a lot of events Downtown with it being in the middle of Downtown Tulsa. There are restaurants well within walking distance, art galleries as well. The baseball field is maybe 5 mins away. Can't forget First Friday!! Be sure to stay up to date with events listed on their website. They do a good job posting about events on social media as well.
