The head of parks was here with the mayor a couple of months ago. She promised the city would provide poop bags. We all hope she keeps her word. The people and dogs are all there for fun. This is my favorite dog park in Tulsa! While the little dog side is always less busy, it's perfect for my little chihuahua/pug mixed girl. She has so much fun with other dogs and it's always been a good experience for us! The park is clean and bags are provided for poo pickup. Everyone is always really great about picking up after their doggo. You can count on at least one dog fight on the big dog side if you stay more than an hour or two, other than that, the big dog side looks pleasant as well. My dog has never picked up any ticks, fleas, or illnesses that I know of from here. She stays up on her vaccines and prevention meds too, so I'm sure that helps. There are water pumps, bowls, and shade too. Plenty of places for dog parents to sit while the fur baby plays. Will continue to go to this park. read more

How cool this is! There were no small dogs there today when we arrived, but Baxter had fun exploring. They even had toys and filled water bowls. Several large dogs were in the next pen. Biscuit Acres is a spacious South Tulsa dog park which is beloved by my Labrador. She can chase her tennis ball all day there! It's a big park, so humans can get a few steps in as well! A great thing about the park is everyone is usually really good at self-policing to make sure that all people and pups are safe...if your dog is aggressive, someone may call you out. If you have your little dog in the "big dog" side of the park...prepare to hear what horrific accidents have befallen other little fellas who got mowed over by 80 LBS dogs who were running at full speed and couldn't stop. Same with kids under 12...don't bring 'em. It's just not safe. I myself was clocked by a large German Shepherd one time but I'm stout enough I just managed to stay upright. That said, I've encountered very few incidents in my years taking my dog to this location. It's amazing how well dogs of every size, breed, color, and temperament can get along! The park has both a water spigot and a doggy fountain for thirsty dogs....great in the summer! Although my Lab considers the area her own personal lake and will lay down in the water that sometimes gets backed up on the concrete. There are benches and picnic tables for the humans as well. They lost a big shade tree recently, but I believe they are planting more trees and have some man made shades up. All in all, it's a great addition to Tulsa for us dog lovers. The only downside is the hours can be sporadic, and sometimes they close entirely for stretches to keep the grass nice. read more

Great dog park! Not only do you get to play with your dog, but you also get to visit with some awesome people and pet some furry kids too! They have fenced in area's...one is for big dogs, and the other one is for smaller breeds..everyone picks up their doggies poo..and yes there is a doggy poo bin lol. There's not a lot of trees around these fenced in area's which is a real shame because it would make it that much more relaxing and enjoyable BUT we can't get everything we want now can we? haha Every pet must have their shots and must be fixed, so that's another plus...and no children under the age of 12 is allowed in the fenced in areas. It's a lot of fun to take your pet here, don't forget to bring something for them to drink while they play :) read more

The park is lovely & I used to take my dogs there. However, within about 2 months, there had been 3 attacks by Pit Bulls attacks with 1dog being killed. The owners of the Pit Bulls couldn't control them, one couple completely ignored their dogs aggression & never even spoke to the owner of the injured dog. The police were called & we learned they could do nothing, park open to the public, go to small claims court. Men, the size of football players, couldn't even break up the attacks, so I know I would not be able to save my dogs from the same. I stopped going to the park, a real shame as my dogs had so much fun there. read more

One time I brought my dog there and there was this big dog fight that he ended up being in. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad. A small dog bit mine's ear, and of course it bled alot. There were two, like, old ladies who i guess were like managing the park? I don't know they were really cranky and passive aggressive. I think they may've been staff, or like "park police", but anyway they didn't help at all. I don't know how much you can do in that situation, but they just sat at the bench and watched the whole thing play out. It's Ok I guess. It's pretty big and kind of hard to keep track of your dog. There's water stations, but everyone's dogs are drinking the same water which makes me anxious. I don't know where your dog has been. Probably here, eating poop, so has mine but that's irrelevant. I guess there's always a risk when going to the dog park, but maybe find a better one, or just walk your dog. read more

I am mostly writing this so that all of the contributors will know how much I appreciate their efforts. I just discovered the dog park a few weeks ago. I was really apprehensive about the process but they have signs all around explaining the rules and I was able to get a lot of information off of some website. i wish they would post the days that they are closed. I still haven't totally figured it out, but it could be every Monday and Tuesday. There is plenty of parking, special pass through gates to keep dogs from getting out, lots of water and some shade in the large dog section. No shade in the small dog section. The biggest improvement is impossible to obtain but wouldn't it be nice if people would pick up their poop. Plenty of bags and trash cans are provided. if anyone wonders, I would be delighted if someone told me that I had failed to see my dog leave a deposit. Google the website for the hours which are based upon the season and the sunlit hours. I have never seen a dog fight, and the owners seem very responsible. I hope this place continues for a long long time. One more thing, small children are not allowed. i saw people come with their dog and kids and had to turn back. I hope I saved you a trip if that is the case. read more

Of the dog parks in the area, this is my favorite. We come here more than anywhere else, but have been to Joe Station and Rose West our fair share of times as well. The space here is huge, with plenty of seating, and easily accessible fresh water for the dogs. There are trees and coverings for shade with benches and picnic tables to relax at. Sure, at times, tiffs break out between dogs, but the owners who seem to frequent this space tend to be caring and understanding, and usually help diffuse situations appropriately and swiftly. There are clean bags available with scoops and plenty of trash cans for pick up, as well as two separate areas to accommodate different sizes of dogs. The park is manned by volunteers, and they do a great job maintaining a clean, safe space for owners and dogs alike. We've been coming since my pup was old enough, and haven't stopped since! If you are thinking of coming by and are nervous, try it out! You can walk your dog around the outside on a leash first to get them warmed up, and work to slowly introduce them to others if needed. Most will be very supportive in helping you help your dog make it a pleasant, fun, and safe experience for all :) have fun! read more

My pup and I really enjoyed our day at Biscuit acres! I've definitely been to some nicer dog parks, but it has everything he likes - puppy friends and plenty of dirt to dig in. The property is huge, which is nice for him to be able to run around as much as he likes while I read a book or catch up on work, knowing he's safely fenced in. The location is great for those who live in South Tulsa, but it's a pretty long trek from my place in Midtown. However, Bark at the Pearl is closing down and Joe Station is even more bare bones than this place! So, I'll be coming back to Biscuit Acres until something pops up near home. They do have water fountains for the dogs to drink from, but you have to bring your own bowls if you want to have water nearby. The fountains aren't very well dispersed. I'd love to see River Parks open a new dog park closer to midtown, maybe with an arrangement for food trucks to come by occasionally! My favorite dog park in Dallas has it's own patio with food, beer and margaritas... It would be so fun to see something like that in Tulsa soon! read more

Except for the dog who attacked mine before she even exited the holding area to Big Dog park, it's THE best Dog Park in Oklahoma. Lots of added shade tents for people & dogs, many benches, & tables for humans to rest or interact. I was very impressed, Tulsa knows how to make a human & dog-friendly park which is asthetically pleasing. It is closed Mon & Tues which accounts for its well kept grounds. I love this place! The dogs can come play and the owners can watch and chat. There are always nice people there and I've never seen an aggressive dog. The big and little dogs are separated. Great place to take your dog....unless the biscuit acres "park police" are there. Having taken my dog there many many times over the past years I was approached by an older woman who asked us to leave after assuming my dog was not spayed. To spare the argument we left. I would specifically not go back to avoid being harassed. There are plenty of other more welcoming parks that allow dogs without the harassment in Tulsa. read more

Beware of this park!!! Be cautious if you take your dog to this park. Yesterday is the second time I have taken my son's dog to Biscuit Acres Dog Park on 91st Street and the second time he was attacked there, but this time five dogs jumped on him at once. Being a pitbull, it was shocking he didn't fight back, but he has been raised to be a very sweet and loving dog. For the coward owners of those dogs that took off out of the park without saying a single word after this happened, I hope your dog never goes through what my son's dog has gone through. Thank you to the couple that helped me at the park. Your kindness was very much appreciated. Nine hours and $500 later, we brought him home from the ER vet. read more

I love taking my pups here. There's so much space even when the parking lot has overflowed into the grass and it looks like hundreds of people are there. Once you get inside the dogs still have a ton of room to run. And it's always clean. My first time there a lady who worked at the park helped my dogs getting comfortable. She was there on a Saturday cleaning up the poop. And as much as is sucks that the park is closed Monday and Tuesday, I really enjoy how well maintained it is. South Tulsa is really lucky to have such a great dog park! The big dog area is huge, so there's less opportunity for it to get overrun with poop and mud than at other dog parks I've been to. The watering area is over concrete, so that also helps to keep down the mud. I am lucky enough to be able to walk there, but I've heard parking becomes a problem during busy times. I also heard that the city tickets people who try to park illegally due to lack of spots. If you go, be sure to keep an eye on your pup in case he poops or gets too aggressive or amorous with the other dogs. Also keep in mind that they are closed Monday and Tuesday for "maintenance" (I think to give the grass a rest). Finally, the regulars are pretty hardcore about no kids in the big dog park. There is a posted age limit (maybe 12 years old?) and people WILL ask you to leave if you try to bring younger children. read more

Dog park was great until some owners thought my lab was going to attack their dogs.....he is a rescue and he is vocal when he plays..... He never nipped, showed his teeth..... He was having so much fun running with all the other dogs...... I take him to doggy day care about 3 times a week.....they all run loose and play and have never had an issue with him..... Brought my dogs here for the first time today...CLOSED. Wish I would have read all the reviews before I went. Apparently, it's closed a lot. And there are no signs there to tell you when or why.
