So I had gone to Joe's for years. I took a break, but I came back. He's just as good as he was years ago. He gets things done in a timely fashion. And he'll make sure to communicate with you along the way. I needed a suit cut for an event, to and he got me together. Figuring out his hours were a little bit tricky, but the number that he has listed online, you can call him at any time. So at least he's very open to communication in regards to that. I first got there and he fitted me for the suit and he was good to go. He told me when to come back, and I came back around that time, days later. When I got there, the suit fit perfectly. He didn't need to make any other changes or alterations and it really show the quality of his work. Also he works really late so if you can't get to him in the morning or afternoon, it's most likely is going to be easier for you because he'll work in the evening time. So he's very convenient when it comes to that as well. Again I have been going to him for about 5 years or so off and on, he has not led me astray yet! Also to note, he has his own clothing line so he can actually suggest things from his personal line or he can custom make you something as well. So that's definitely something to keep in your pocket because you may not find what you want but he might be able to make it for you. read more

I came across Mr. Joe's shop on Yelp, and it was the greatest delight of an experience! My husband and I have an event to attend and last minute shopping brought us to Mr. Joe's door. When I called Mr. Joe, after 8p, he was receptive, told us to come by, and 20 minutes later, he was pinning my husband's pants. He tapered and hemmed the pants PERFECTLY!! Joe is awesome! I ordered a vest online for my wedding but it came in the wrong color. Fortunately, I found Joe last minute, and he was able to put together a vest that worked perfectly with my tux in short time. He saved the finishing touches for after I came in for the fitting. I am so glad I found Mr. Joe's business on Yelp. I took my bridesmaids dress to him for alterations. He was kind and welcoming, had a great attitude, and provided great customer service. Mr. Joe loves what he does. He is truly a master at making/altering clothing. I was expecting to drop my dress off and pick up the following week, but he made the alterations while I was there. I tried the dress on, he quickly and skillfully make the markings, and then proceeded with the alterations. The entire process took less than an hour. Besides having to wait longer than anticipated (a couple of hours) Joe did an excellent job on my tuxedo. I spent the time talking to him in his shop and ultimately wasn't annoyed. I received many compliments at the wedding I attended about how sharp my tux looked, and this was all due to Joe's craftsmanship. He pays attention to little details and offers great recommendations, and when he took longer than he was supposed to, gave me a generous discount. Discount-aside, Joe is very fair and well-priced. I met Joesph on a Sunday when he walked into my store, Worthmore Jewelers, and he was wearing a fantastic looking blazer. I asked him where he got it, guessing for sure he was going to say Neimans. To my surprise he said he made it. He then showed me his website and the range of clothes he makes and I was sold. I have never had any clothing custom made as I always thought it would be way out of my price range. I went to Joesph's shop the following tuesday and without even measuring me he said he would get started. Within 4 days he called me and said my jacket was ready, and I have to say it is perfect. I'm not reviewing the work but the experience and the person. The shop is actually in an office building with a guard. First time, the guard was not there. I had to call multiple times to finally get a hold of Joe. Then he had to come down to bring me up. So far so good. We agreed on a date for my suit to be ready. On that date, I went to pick it up, during the opening hours that he has on display everywhere. No guard. I called, could not get a hold of Joe. Called the guard who did not want to help me in any way (like taking me to Joe's door for example) and was rude. Called joe multiple times again, no answer and the answering machine was not working (not actually sure he has one). Went for lunch nearby than one hour later, tried to call again to get in, multiple times, still no answer. At this point, as I absolutely needed to get my suit and considering that we were Saturday before Christmas, I started to be concerned that the guy actually left town. I tried reaching on facebook and by email, still no answer. Finally, hours later, he answered the phone. I asked politely if his hours were not correct, telling that it was a bad experience and he started to ramble and tried to actually put the blame on me and that he was absolutely in his right not to respect his office hours and not be able to answer his clients by phone or email. I then went to pick up my suit, trying to be as calm as possible: as soon as I entered the door it told me, quote, that I was "ridiculous' for calling that many times. Then he proceeded to ramble again and try to put the blame on me. Acted like he was sooo busy he could not handle contacting clients or stick to his hours. Acted like it was not his fault that the answering machine was not working. Threw a couple of blatant lies in the mix and basically acted like an unapologetic jerk. I had to tell me 15 times that I wanted to get my suit, pay and leave but he kept on rambling and arguing. At this point I just stop talking which finally shut him up and I was able to get my stuff and leave. If you put hours for your office, you respect them. If you have a last minute event that forces you to leave office, you manage to be able to answer your client calls. There are many tailors that can get the job done for similar prices and actually respect their clients, no need to put yourself through this bs. read more

I don't usually write reviews for places but this business is absolutely worth the time. I was going on vacation and had new clothes arrive that needed alterations same week; I chose Joe on the basis of reviews, and specifically the mention that changes were not only top quality, true tailoring, but that items were returned quickly as well. I needed my pieces done within three days, it looked like I caught him in a busy week, and I had half a dozen pieces: dresses (hemmed, taken in, broken strap), skirt (taken in), and a mens blazer (taken in to fit a woman, buttons relocated). The evening before my trip, Joe stayed up extremely late making sure all my pieces were finished, ironed, and ready to wear. They're beautiful, I couldn't be happier with them, and I feel it's worth mentioning that in addition to taking pride in his work and truly enjoying it, Joseph is an extremely positive and kind professional. Since it was very late (nearly midnight), when I arrived to pickup, he offered to come downstairs and get, and to also escort me down stairs afterwards and help make sure I made it to my car with no trouble. If I'd wanted a piece made from nothing, I'd trust him to do that as well in a heartbeat, beautifully and with joy. read more
