Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

This place is awesome, food fresh and very authentic. Above all it's Halal confirmed by the owner. Loved it

Finally found true New York style pizza in Texas. This is as close as I would find in Manhattan it in Abilene.

My daughter was very happy in this picture

At First the place looked sketchy. But we were STARVING so we went anyways. The person working was very nice and I loved their accents. The Food displayed looked delicious but the salad bar on the other hand looked a little bit scary it looked soggy and nasty! We they brought the food it was nice and hot! We went took a bite our eyes sparkled with delight!! Everything was delicious especially the bread! Thank you Joes!!!

Stuffed crust "meat lovers" pizza

I guess it's my fault for ordering this, because I apparently misinterpreted both "stuffed" and "meat lovers." I thought I was getting the perimeter of the crust stuffed with cheese and the pizza itself mounded with meat. As it turns out, all I got was "less than half the meat" sprinkled lightly between two layers of crust. I'm not sure how they define "meat lovers," but you can see in the photo there's very, VERY little meat, and what meat is present is some kind of ground meat (hamburger or sausage?), no pepperoni, and no ham. It's all bread. And I paid almost $27 for something that most have cost them $2 to make. I have way too many options in ordering good pizza in Abilene without overpaying for a horribly over-priced and thinly-topped pile of bread. I won't make this mistake again. Very disappointed.

My family and I came here for a late lunch. The staff is very friendly. We all ordered different slices of pizza, calzones and a Stromboli. They were all so delicious and very flavorful. The pizza was nice and crispy on the bottom and they don't scrimp on toppings. They have granulated garlic on the tables which is a bonus to me. The place was clean with an nice atmosphere. I would certainly come here again to eat.

Pep with mushroom. Delicious

Although, it's a unique spot that a lot of people enjoy. A crisp, crunchy crust with fresh toppings! I still love their quesadillas! Really happy with their salad portion size and the almonds as an addition to the house salad. Price for the portion size and quality of their pizzas is still out of range in my opinion. I've had a lot of mixed feeling about their food over the years, and usually don't feel inclined to go back. Our waitress brought our check at the beginning of our meal and to go boxes as well, which is proactive of course, but we felt rushed and confused. We never got to even state that our checks were separate, not together. Our appetizer was brought after we received our meal which was stated to be a mishap with a new chef, but we were not asked if we even wanted it at that point. We were also charged the full price instead of the lunch menu price for it as it should've been. Honestly, it would've been honorary to not be charged for it at all under the circumstances. It was just strange. We all have our off days, but it just added to my distaste for Brick Oven. I wish I had a consistently great experience with them! Here's to hoping for better experiences! Maybe it's just not my cup of tea.

Neither one of them really knows anything really about what is uniquely available to eat in Abilene. My wife and I were on our way to the hospital after picking up their kid from daycare when we were asked to pick up some dinner. We had offered to get them anything in town to eat while at the hospital. Given how they were new to town, their regular from Dominoes was requested. It was at this point I suggested Vagabond, telling the couple how for years it's been the best. The wife saw the menu and was impressed, eager to try it out. (We ordered 1 Lucia, 1 Carnivore, 2 Crawfish Hand Pies) The order was placed online, right as we left our driveway, I received a text confirming the order, which was followed up 15-20mins later by another one stating it was ready for pickup. It felt fast. As I walked in, I saw the traditional sights: the owner at the front welcoming everyone in, a filled up room with various parties enjoy their food and conversations, a staff working hard and yet ready to serve. I was told by the owner to go up to the bar where my order was waiting for me. I was in and out so quickly that I could feel the warm air coming off the pizza as I took it outside to my car. My one regret was not telling the owner on my way out how this meal would be the first meal for a mom who just gave birth. When I got to the hospital, the food was still warm. When both the mother and father had their first bite of the Lucia, they both had that 'wow' reaction to how amazing the taste was. Everything ordered honestly received a 'wow.' It was perfect. I have had Vagabond ever since they were out of a food trailer. Since then, it has been the place I always bring people to, particularly if they are visiting from out of town. It was the place where my wife and I brought our kid for his first restaurant meal. The consistent experience of it all is simply the best. I don't review places often, but last night was special. Never a bad thing to say thank you to a group of people who unknowingly wowed a father and mother in a hospital room. Thank you.

Environment was pleasant and the staff was wonderful. The service was really quick, and the way they're set up you can see a good portion of their process. I really wish I coulda gotten their Blackberry Cobbler, that looked awesome. Please switch the 8 oz sodas for 16 oz's at least, but beyond that zero complaints. As an update, the pizzas we got, we had as leftovers, and were just as great from the fridge.

Wow! We ordered delivery and it was surprisingly good - a variety of dishes (cheese ravioli,…read moreAlfredo, lasagna, baked ziti) and all were hot, fresh and very tasty. The rolls were great also, along with the fried ravioli. This will become a regular goto when we want Italian.

I'll start with the bad, then finish with the good. Short…read morestory? I'll be back. But... Luigi's Little Italy needs to up their game on fried appetizers. Being our first visit, we tried to sampler so that we could experience 3 of the apps at once. The calamari, mozzarella sticks and "toasted" ravioli all seemed to be fried in the same batter, and the same oil. I would question the quality of the items even before frying.... and the frying didn't help their cause. I ate one bland, not-so-fresh tasting calamari ring, one bite of a mozzarella stick and one bite of the ravioli. The rest of the appetizer went home to the dog. I mean, this place is dated, and this I knew before eating. Which is fine--I think many of us have a need to experience the nostalgia of the Italian restaurants of yesteryear. Rubber grapes hanging from the ceilings, painted images of Italy on the wall. Unchanged from when I was a teenager in Western NY and we would go out for Italian; the decor and menu seem to be the same. But the quality of ingredients needs to be current. We have come to expect better! A lot of Italian places are doing more creative things, with better calamari. Appetizers such as burrata and carpaccio are present on modern Italian menu's. If you are going to stick with the old stuff, it needs to be GREAT. Okay, enough of the negativity. The Chicken Florentine ordered by my companion was very good. The sauce was nice, flavorful, and not too heavy (although perhaps too generous but that's going back to the dated thing). I have a sampler of stuffed pastas, and the red sauce was very much to my liking. A touch of sweet, not too acidic, just the way I like sauce to be. They have a decent wine selection. I didn't try the desserts. I'm quite a cannoli purist...and I hate to be disappointed, so I didn't risk it. Overall--we'll be back. We'll be back for the friendly and consistent service, the generally good food (skip the fried stuff), and the kitschy ambience.
