The Bridgeton location is wonderful. We enjoy the Italian subs, cheese stakes and pizza. The service is great no matter if you're getting take out or eating in. Everyone makes you feel welcome. This is a traditional pizza restaurant and is clean no matter how busy they are. I highly recommend trying this location. read more

Stopped in again on a weekend as I remembered this place had a great cheesesteak. I know I said I'd try the pizza next time but I couldn't help myself. I was craving a cheesesteak! But that pizza looked amazing! And there were all kinds of awards on the wall for it. Ok, next time... Anyway, I ordered the cheesesteak with extra cheese. I wanted 1/2 to eat there and 1/2 packed to go. The second 1/2 was lovingly wrapped when I was ready. Nice touch! The cheesesteak was as good as I remembered. I ate the whole half with a Diet Coke. Warm meat, high quality cheese, cold lettuce perfectly shredded, tomato and raw onion. I got it with oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and oregano. Of course. I'm making myself hungry thinking about it.... I wish I lived closer. read more

Want to give this 4 stars but I can't. I had high hope for their pizza and it was a complete let down. It tasted good but wasn't cooked. See the image for yourself. The cheese wasn't melted. The dough was almost still dough. I'm not sure how someone can take this out of the oven thinking it's done. I didn't even go during prime time either. Later afternoon between lunch and dinner. It's very unfortunate. I ate a slice and was tasty but it could have been 10x better if actually fully cooked. read more

The best take out food in Woodstown. I love their tomato pie and get it quite often. The guys in there are great and if you pay attention, they honestly try to have a relationship with most of the customers that come in. Located in the Acme parking lot across from Lawnside Cemetery, Joe's serves up thin, greasy slices of cheesy pizza to the Salem County crowd. I remember when they first opened. It feels like yesterday, but it was likely more like at least a decade ago, right? Back then, their hoagies were also good. I just haven't had them recently to vouch for them. "Hey buddy, how you been?" Basically the greeting every time we come to Joe's. They're like family, even if you're not a regular. Their pizza is great, which is fortunate since we don't have many takeout options (unfortunate that literally all of them are pizza joints) in Woodstown. You come here for pizza and cheesesteaks. Mind blowing how good the food is. I walked in feeling like i was gonna be dissapointed, especially after the water tasted irony. Lo and behold the food blew me away. Cheese steak sub was packed and absolutely heavenly, all for a resaonable price. If i lived around here I would eat here every week (if i kwpt up my cardio of course). We try to stop in whenever we're out and about in the Woodstown area. 12/2014 update: Have to add that, after five years in the area, Joe's is still our go-to place for great pizza. There's no need to order extra sauce and/or cheese at Joe's because it comes standard. They're consistent; their pizza is always excellent and their prices are very reasonable. They always extend a warm, friendly greeting and a sincere thank-you without being gushy. Once we discovered Joe's Pizza in Woodstown, we stopped looking! 04/16/17: Just to add a note: each Joe's Pizza box has a coupon on top that you can cut out and save. When you have 15, you can get a free pizza! We've had maybe three or four of the free pizzas, by now, and the freebies are every bit as excellent as the ones we pay for; no skimping on toppings or anything else. This place just seems to do everything right! 01/30/18: I've been wanting to add a note, for a while, now. The owners always seem to be on-site, no matter which day or time of day; these guys work more diligently than anyone I've ever seen and absolutely deserve a break. Last Labor Day, the owners took the day off, but kept the store open. Unfortunately, we were in the mood for pizza, and drove up to Joe's. With the owners absent, we ended up with one pretty bad pizza. If that had been the first pizza we'd ever gotten from Joe's, we'd never have returned. The sauce wasn't right, and it was slightly underbaked, not even close to Joe's usual five-star standards. I would ask them to consider just closing shop if at least one of the owners can't be present. There's no point in staying open to sell sub-par pizza and risk losing potential new customers. read more

When you walk into Joe's you immediately get that "ahh Jersey pizza shop" feeling. Which is a very good feeling! Good pizza, good staff, good prices. They offer regular, Sicilian, and pan crust pies in traditional, white, and gourmet varieties. They also have pizza by the slice. Unless it's lunchtime, I'd recommend ordering a whole pizza so it's hot and delicious and steaming when you pick it up. A reheated hour old slice isn't ideal here once you see and smell the fresh pizzas coming out of the oven! You can tell the difference. Just spend a few extra bucks and order a whole pie! I've only had the tasty pizza but they also offer a wide variety of sandwiches, subs, and dinner items all at a reasonable price. While they have a few tables to sit at they're more of a takeout shop. They have a great pizza assembly line going so no need to worry about a long wait time. It's so very clear they're a family business that takes great pride in their work. Overall, in a pizza world that is becoming increasingly flooded with "wood oven" and fancy pants pizzas, it's nice to know there's still places like Joe's out there. read more

Their menu has a lot of great options from yummy tuna sandwiches to the classic Jersey chicken parm in a pan. The staff is kind and friendly. They treat you like a friend when you walk in, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Growing up with Joe's cooking has netted me a lot of free pizzas over the years, as every fifteen you buy gets you one free if you save the box coupons. Their quality has remained consistent throughout the years I've been ordering from them and I make sure to order from them anytime I'm craving a cheesy slice.
