Placed 2 orders & were ready in 15 minutes Very clean restaurant, reminds me of the pizzerias in the 70 & 80's .... So nostalgic! Great memories going for pizza on Friday nights.... I'm visiting family in New Jersey for Christmas, so it seemed like a good time to place an order with them. We opted for delivery, as my mom is sick and I'm a terrible night driver, but I would not do that again. Their online ordering system was pretty confusing. At first I landed on an online ordering menu that I don't think was the correct one as it gave zero descriptions on anything. I backed out and then clicked into the correct one. Based on the layout, I assumed I was ordering delivery direct through the restaurant rather than an outside partner, which I prefer to do. Nope. It was DoorDash. Had I realized that, I could've used a DoorDash coupon or ordered elsewhere. Instead, I spent $9.99 for a delivery fee, plus $2.99 service charge, tax, plus tip, and the order was essentially double the cost of takeout. It wasn't obvious that it was an outside partner until the tracking link was emailed. Plus the delivery driver made a stop along the way, so my food was lukewarm on arrival. Ugh. It also took an hour to be delivered compared to their website estimate of 25 minutes. Delivery aside, the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed my slice of cheese pizza - the sauce was perfect! The cheesesteak was also delightfully cheesy and cooked perfectly. I probably wouldn't order the tuna club again. I think I overcharged myself, as it didn't have a description so I couldn't figure out what came on it. As such, I added bacon and assumed it'd have cheese as the site referenced "substituting" cheese, so I didn't add that. Turns out - no cheese (so sad) and now bacon on two layers, so I assume they added extra. My mom had a cup of their chicken noodle soup, which she deemed "tasty." High praise from her. Since I overall enjoyed what I ordered, I'd likely go back sometime on a future visit. Though I do feel minorly ripped off by the online ordering experience so I'm more likely to try other local spots first.

La Sicilia is one of those special places and I arrived to eat dinner because they were helping someone I know. There was no research involved and I was surprised to discover how close I live to this primarily takeout pizzeria/restaurant with a smiling and welcoming staff. I really did not know how small the dining area is at La Sicilia but there was room for myself and my friend Joe to enjoy a dinner to help others. Joe went the Chicken Parm dinner route but I went for pizza and "wings" (Chicken wings for those not in the know.). I did ask the staff whether their wings were any good and I was assured that people like them. We watched pleasant interactions with customers coming in for takeout, including a few people I know who chose to come to La Sicilia. First the good ... Joe reported that he REALLY liked the chicken Parm. He liked it so much that he ordered a take out Chicken Parm to bring home for his wife. I spoke with some friends who like me only came to support the fundraiser. One told me, "I told the men in my family we are changing pizzerias because the pizza at La Sicilia's is soooo good!" Another thdnkef me (As if I had anything to do with creating the food.) for telling them about the event because they plan to start coming to La Sicilia's for their pizza. I ordered "The Don" specialty pizza probably because of the website photo but also it sounded really good. It was "fine" and I enjoyed it. A big plus when they arrived was noting that the wings were not breaded. They were crisp and juicy but the fried wings were not coated with sauce in the kitchen instead they were plopped in a puddle of Frank's sauce on my plate. I ate every last wing but ... The other surprise is you can erase the COVID era comments in my prior review about the service because the service in 2025 is superb!! While waiting for our take out we watched the interaction with a customer who clearly is "challenged" and the folks working here treated him as if he was their only customer. They were friendly and caring and on knowledgeable!! Since I wrote the above words I have enjoyed a really good Grandma's Pizza and right now a perfect Meatball Parm!
