Silvana's is a pizza place/Italian restaurant located on the main drag in Pennsville. The building looks like it was a bank in the past and they kept the drive thru, which is very convenient. Plenty of parking was found in the large parking lot surrounding the building. The outside doesn't look like much, but the inside is nicely done. The inside has tiled floors and a lot of Italian decorations on the walls. The seating arrangement in the front room consists of high tables and regular seating tables for four. The back dining area had more of an intimate feel. The pizza/oven area in the front had a lot of Sicilian decorations on the glass top. I enjoyed the wonderful aroma of wood coming from the brick oven which is to the right of the baker's pride oven. Food wise we ordered lunch and dinner to go. The lunch was cheesesteaks and Italian hoagies. Both were ok. The Italian hoagie needed more meat, but the rolls and ingredients were fresh. The cheesesteak was full of sliced meat, but in my opinion needed more cheese. The pizza's we ordered were a plain and pepperoni well done and the recommended thin Sicilian by the owner Joe. The round pizza had a soft doughy crust, ok sauce and a nice ratio of cheese/sauce. The pepperoni needed more meat on it. I think both were just fine. The thin Sicilian had some oil drizzled on it before it was boxed up. That pizza went fast and was a hit with everyone! I really enjoyed it, the sauce was tangy, cheese was delicious and the flavors kept you coming back for more. I enjoyed chatting with Joe. He was a nice guy and runs a great operation. They were extremely busy on a Saturday night with orders and the dining area looked to have lots of happy patrons. I'll be returning to try his brick oven pizza!! Thanks Joe! read more

The one star is for the fresh plain pizza I like how it's made here, lacks customer service. I wanted to try their oreo cake asked for a slice, visually checked it, saw green spots, took a closer look it was MOLD. Returned it. Most likely won't do business with this establishment. We happened to find this under Franco's on Yelp, but we LOVE Silvana's. My husband feels like he gets a real treat when he gets their Cordon Blue Stromboli. Their gnocchi is little pillows of heaven, as well as their tortellini. My daughter came home for her birthday and immediately wanted Silvana's pasta AND pizza! Have ordered from there before just about every time mess up our order. But tonight it was extra disgusting we ordered 2 cheese steaks with extra cheese ketchup and mayo, neither had ketchup or mayo they didn't drain the greese off and the bread was so soggy it was disgusting. Had no taste had to throw them away. Also ordered a turkey and bacon sub and completely messed that one up too, more bread then anything else. And when you call to let them know they messed your order up , you can hear their very professional cook yelling and what else was messed up and don't give you enough credit. Well they definitely don't have to worry about crediting me anything because I will never in my life order from their again. If I could add pictures I would post the pictures that I took of how our food looked, I can give you an image, take a roll and put it in a cup of water pull it out and then put it in a container with cheese and steak. It took 1 hour 10 minutes for delivery. When it got here it was cold. I complained the driver didn't care. I went to the store to get fresh made. The driver was there and he flipped me the finger. Service is horrible. After all that the pizza was still soggy. read more
