Joe's Rock Shop sold what was advertised as a geode to my eight year old daughter. But it turned out to be some junk made of clay and pieces of thin dowel. My daughter dropped it and it crumbled into pieces. She was pretty ticked as she spent her own $15 on it. So I posted a negative review on Facebook. Then someone called Nikki suddenly came on telling me it was a real gilded geode. So, I posted another picture showing the bits of dowel that were sticking out of i. She then decided it was actually a piece of Native American art, and I was an idiot for thinking it was a geode. And then she deleted the review and blocked me. So Nikki if you're reading this: First, it's really sucky to be a Facebook page owner and argue with people who have legitimate complaints, pretending to be a third party. Second, your lies were an embarrassment. Third, don't call customers idiots and then delete the post. Fourth unlike Facebook posts, you can't insult people and then delete Oh and fifth, your shop sucks. Stop ripping tourists and kids off. Wouldn't it have been easier to just apologize? read more

Both Ken and La Teresa Were extremely kind to my son, who is a huge rock lover! Their knowledge of all types of rocks and areas to find them was the best we have ever witnessed. This place is awesome! When asked, they will provide a map to the septarian nodule mine. With permission you can did around the railings for your own nodule. We found one within 20 min! They can cut the nodule for $5.00, and polish the cuts for a little bit more. So beautiful, so worth it. They owners are super friendly, super knowledgable, and make visiting the place a great time.
