8/13/21 When I…read morechecked out Union Station  on 8/7/21, I didn't know what to expect.  I knew some stores may be closed, but I was amazed to see 70% of the the train station was out of business.    However,  on the second floor, stood Union General. A gift shop that sells a number of different items. I came across a book for hunted places in Washington DC.  I also cam across a nice sleeveless Washington DC shirt.  The material felt great on the skin.  The cost was $19.99 and I was very tempted to buy it. Should I revisit this place and this type of material shirt is there, I will but one.   The staff member I saw upon entering seemed friendly,  but I think more of a forced friendliness.   Seeing the staff members there, they seemed very bored.  Sister Sister and Snow Queen seemed to be the two employee who were down in the down in the doldrums.   Nevertheless,  it was nice to see you could try on clothes in this store.  Not sure when I will be back here, but I hope to see more stores open here in the future, because right now, Union Station is looking very scary.

I noticed while my husband was taking my picture, there were two women watching. After I moved away one woman walked up to the cut-out, pulled a sign out of her bag, and had the other woman take her pic. The sign read, "F*ck Trump! No King!". She held the sign while giving the cut-out the middle finger. ALL of the workers in the souvenir shop were cheering and clapping her. I turned to my husband and said I was ready to leave; I wouldn't spend one red cent in that shop. Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at approximately 2:00 - 2:15 pm.
