I love Linda. I called her after a highly recommended alterations person laughed at me on the phone for waiting too long to book my wedding dress alterations appointment (it was June, married in September)--I didn't know. Never done this before. Anyway, Linda was kind and I think she got me in the same week. I had 4 different appointments with Linda. She is careful and does great work. My dress was ball gown style, all lace. She hemmed it, brought in the waist twice, added custom, removable sleeves, and added a bustle. $223. Like WHAT?! Amazing. She pressed my dress and veil the week before the wedding. She hemmed two of my bridesmaids dresses quickly and for an excellent price. I got married September 2013 and had Linda from Joette Design alter my wedding dress and the dress for my Maid-of-Honor. I couldn't be happier with Linda's service and pricing! Linda is an absolute perfectionist and had me come in for around 5 visits to make sure everything was PERFECT! The dress needed a lot of modifications to fit me properly, but it ended up amazing. I also couldn't believe how reasonable her prices are, and I don't think you will find anyone nearly as good for anywhere near as cheap as her. Long story short, day before the wedding, my frantic bff the bride came in with a disaster of a dress- literally helpless( it was in 2 pieces with holes everywhere). Joette went to work, for hours. Linda was so great to work with - she took me on as a client last-minute after my original tailoring place gave me my wedding dress back with incomplete/incorrect alterations, just less than 2 weeks before my wedding! I came to her practically in tears, and she quickly found the problems and assured me she could make adjustments to fix everything. She mended a down jacket that had a hole in the outside fabric. I first took it to another place and the person told me the only way to fix it was to put a very noticeable patch over the hole (yuck!). I brought it to her and she said she can fix it no problem. It's beautiful and no one can tell it's been fixed unless you look really close. I'm so glad I drove a little extra to talk to her. LINDA IS INCREDIBLE. She's a master at her craft, and HANDS DOWN the most reasonable priced in the state. Not joking. My wedding dress was $175 total, and it was all lace! Each fitting just built up my excitement for the big day knowing my dress was in EXPERT HANDS, all the horror stories about girls whose dresses are ruined during alterations- NOT IF YOU GO TO LINDA. She doesn't rush or do too much at once, she truly cares about your dress and you feel that from her instantly! She's done 3 wedding dresses now of my friend group and each one has been just perfect. Including a couple bridesmaid dresses for under $100 and if you go anywhere else they were quoting $150+ just to hem and shorten the straps a little!! RIDICULOUS. With Linda you get peace of mind knowing you're dress is being altered with love and QUALITY that you will not find anywhere else. The only thing This quaint little tailor shop doesn't have is the giant runway with wall to wall mirrors- which you DONT NEED.
