I waited 30 minutes before calling to see if something had happened. He answered and said "Oh, what's your address, I can be there in 20 minutes." He arrived 30 minutes later and gave us the quote. He took his time and wrote out exactly what we needed. His quote was thorough and seemed reasonable. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

Unfortunately, the owner continues his online crusade to discredit me and I'm backed into a corner to prove the legitimacy of my concerns. I've added a video showing yellowing throughout the house. This is not a moisture issue. When the work was finished caulking was not yellowed, but I found several areas throughout the house that were not caulked at all. I was also was unhappy with the gap between boards and the floor. The owner is correct when he says I signed a contract indicating that this would not be done. I was guided into this and later found out that it is not always standard practice. Nonetheless, I signed this contract and feel that it would be unfair for me to grade based upon this problem alone, hence the updated increase to my rating. When painting was finished I did voice my discontent with the way things turned out. The owner became defensive about his work. His strategy was to deflect these concerns as a me problem, rather than a workmanship problem. I can remember feeling pressured at the end of the job to agree that things were satisfactory and reluctantly paid. There was no call back to fix the yellowing because his arrogance turned me off. I did not want him back in my house. I've lived in the house for years, looking at my unsightly baseboards. Every time I walk through my hallways I'm reminded of how frustrated I am that I paid good money for this. I do not like publicly shaming a company, but in this case it's necessary. After years I finally posted a review. The bottom line is that the job is substandard. I have to have things repainted at my own expense and I'm very disappointed about it.

The exterior was previously done in very dark colors, and painting it much lighter transformed our home beautifully. It was a pleasure working with them. Wilfredo is a hard worker and most importantly - *meticulous* attention to detail. I've had several painters over the years, and no one preps as thoroughly as this guy. It makes a big difference, especially with a larger job like this one, not to have to worry about any overspray or drips. He also uses the high quality formula paint, and premium oil base for our doors. I was impressed with the good coverage the almost white color had over the dark paint, due to his thoroughness, and the garage and front door turned out beautifully. There were some details that caused extra work, like small repairs and having to paint around the rain gutters to paint the top strip of fascia that barely showed. These things really made a difference. He's also very tidy; each day he completely cleaned up his equipment, and at the end returned everything around the house to where it previously was. This included raking all the mulch back into place so I didn't have to! Wilfredo and his assistant are diligent, hard workers, along with being friendly and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Coastside Painting again (and again), and highly recommend them.

I no and I felt I gave you a quality paint job at a unbelievable price here are the pictures of the work we did.Look at pictures this is the actual work Jlp provided and are not photo shopped! this is Carols investment property thats now up for sale . We painted your complete interior from the ceilings to all your cabinets doors baseboards closets walls even did your handrail and fireplace and even your garage and some exterior stuff aswell at a unheard of price $2650.00 for everything including materials I was trying to do you a favor but oh boy I just saw your review and that hurts to see how low you spoke of myself and my team yes there were a few minor touch ups but the other 99.9% speaks for itself and I did say I would be more than happy to do the couple of touch ups when we returned from a out of town job we were on but looks like you decided to just blast my company. Again I Appreciate the work and really don't have nothing bad to say about you .The pictures speak for me the pictues you posted were there prior paint on outlets drips etc we are known in this valley for working with our customers and giving them a great deal .And thats all I wanted was to gain a new client and start a buisness relationship thats why we did your $6500.00 paint Job at that low of a price ! We have hired JLP three time this year. They did our interior and Kitchen cabinets. Each time they where professional and did a great job cleaning up after. I want a quality product, on time at a far and reasonable price and JLP provided that. He has a great crew also.
