Amazing work! The pricing Frank provided was extremely fair for a project my size. His crew was very professional throughout the duration of the project. I had an open loft with some pre existing pony walls that I wanted to turn into a full height wall and build a couple new walls to close the loft into a room. I had major concerns about seeing different texture and joint lines between the originally built walls (24 years ago) and the new material going in. Safe to say after the job was completed nobody would ever know that room was not originally built with the house. My professional career consists of working in contact with hundreds of contractors so I very familiar with most trades and problems that can arise when the contractor is not a fully trained professional. After having water damage in our garage, we were left with a big hole in the wall. We contacted Wall Works after we were given a recommendation and Frank (the owner) came out the next day. He gave us a very reasonable quote and we felt comfortable with him, so we decided to go ahead with the work. We opened a project in YELP for some drywall repair. They were quick with their response and communication was great. We set the appointment for FRANK to come out inspect the damage and give us a quote on the work. Upon inspection Frank informed us 2 of the areas of concern weren't actually damaged just stained and that it didn't need to be replaced and could just be painted over. It took months for the roofers to come out and finally fix the leak and we scheduled for Franks guys to come out and replace the drywall on the ceiling. Drywall repair is both science and art. The science element is important to keep your home safe from mold, pests, and maintain appropriate fireproofing. The art is in the visual appearance. Unfortunately, drywall sometimes has to be opened up and cut away for unexpected plumbing and electrical repairs. Most of the time home warranty repairs or handymen will do a basic patch job which might not be completely solid and secure, and it will be ugly and stick out like a sore thumb. A high quality job will both protect your interior and match the original texture and finish. That is exactly what Wall Works provides, quality work done fast and at a good price. I requested quotes from competing drywall repair firms via Yelp and sent pictures. I received prices from as low as $350 "estimate" to $700, and the $700 guy magically tried to drop his price the next day which screamed of dishonesty. What I liked immediately about Wall Works was that instead of trying to "guesstimate" from pictures, instead they sent Frank right to my door the next morning. Frank was on time, friendly and knowledgeable, he inspected every area that needed repair and gave me a committed price of $450. I'm sure that price is less than the "guesstimate" guys would actually have charged once they showed up to do the job and magically found reasons to up charge from the initial estimate "since they only saw a picture." A real, in person, free estimate is a much better way to determine if you're hiring the right contractor for the job especially when it is something like drywall which you're going to see every day. He had availability next day and sent a 3 person crew to knock out all the repairs. I forgot about a minor touch up job, and they had no problem adding it on at no additional charge since they were already going to be doing the same work with the same equipment. They work with all the appropriate safeguards for the house, unlike the bargain and warranty repair guys. The texturing is perfect and it looks like nothing had ever happened to the wall. I ordered just "ready to paint" as I haven't decided if I'm going to start a project to change colors or not, so I'm not sure if they do painting as well. They were in and out in about 90 minutes and the work is just beautiful. This is the best drywall company I've worked with and they've got my highest recommendation. read more
