After years of crappy great clips haircuts we found this gem. The young men that work here are super nice and do a great job cutting hair. My youngest was 10 and Niq talked Pokémon with him. Needless to say that made a big impression! Your kids will like looking at the action figure collection in the display case guaranteed! The atmosphere is like an old time barber shop with young guys. They always take their time - it is not a fast haircut. Both of my boys and husband see Niq and he is great with all of them. If you think you are going to run in on a Saturday morning and get a cut you should be prepared to wait for quite a bit of time. We have waited anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. They open at 7:00 am and we try to get there by 6:30 - wait in the car and then get in line with everyone else when they unlock the doors. Be patient and kind to these nice young men! Ethan did a really great job and took his time trimming the beard. The shop was quite busy was quite a few customers waiting. It was refreshing to see that there were also women customers. I was impressed with some of the trim work on the haircuts for the guys, works of art and style. read more

Stumbled upon this shop & will never go anywhere else! Being my 1st barber shop experience, I was pleasantly surprised at how entertained I was. Very polite & just a great atmosphere. These guys are legit. I used to live in the area and I've been to soooo many barbers and salons and finally found my spot at Joey's. I live about 4 hours away now but anytime I'm in the area I stop in for a cut. I always get the same guy can't recall his name right now but he remembers me which is pretty cool considering how many people they have coming in and out. They have a few big screens on the walls to pass the time while you wait. They carry products for men's hair and beards. I've gotten a couple styles done here and it's always spot on when I leave. I've been coming to Joey's once a week for the past two years! All the barbers are extremely consistent. Never have to worry about what the outcome is going to be. These guys are truly remarkable. Today was my second time going to Joey's Barber Shop. The shop opens on time and they are prompt with taking customers as they arrive. First come first served. The shop is clean, no loud music or cursing. Great spot for someone with kids. Joey was able to taper my hair yet keep the lines soft to maintain a feminine hair cut. I noticed a guy at LifeTime Gym consistently had a nice fade, I finally asked him where he got his haircut and he suggested Joey to me. Boy am I grateful, I had been driving to Detroit to have my son's haircut for more than a year. They were really nice when I called to inquire about an appointment. No need, all walk-in. Even better. Great atmosphere, barbers, and service. This is not an in and out barber shop. They take time with each client and really are very personable. This place is kick ass. If you want a barber that cuts good hair and aren't worried about getting your nails done like Mr 1 star Josh that obviously got a little to much mommy time this is the place to go. I've gone there the last 3 years as well as all the other guys I work with (active duty military just so you know joshyboo) when there are no kids in there yeah boys will be boys and talk like they are in a locker room but when there children the conversations stay clean. I will miss the guys and my weekly visit to Bill to get my ears lowered when I get back to the 5 minute haircuts from a mute back on base. Oh one more thing since my sweet little Josh needed to mention he was a veteran they do a flag raising on memorial day and veterans day because they are very pro military... Merica! If you want some stories of the good ol days in the military make sure you spend your wait time (all things good aren't instant... ever had McDonald's?) Make sure to ask the guy with the purple heart hat in the office to school you up. Don't listen to the bad reviews, this place is legit. The volume of business that they do is a testament to the quality and value of their haircuts. Sure, sometimes the wait can be long, that's what happens when they do a good job! Don't hold it against them because they're busy. I usually go to Joey simply because he knows my haircut, but Ethan, Bill, Nick, Ronnie, and Richie have all done my hair before and all did a great job. Can't beat a haircut for $12! read more
