This bar has a really cool atmosphere. It's a chill vibe with couches and low lighting. The drinks are good and the service is great. Bar tenders are attentive, helpful and friendly.

It is really nice place. Nice mood nice conversation with bar bartender. If you like alcohol, you can visit a small bar at least once.

My fiancé found this place and it's been our favorite ever since. Best spot for some fun drinks. Everyone always has a good time here- and NO, you will never find hair in your drinks! super clean (the barber is sectioned off.)

Vibes! The music is loud, but also expected. The recent remodel is refreshing, way more seating. The fully stocked bars gives plenty of options for every taste, and the changing menu is always fun. Servers are full of energy, and personable. Definitely a fun place to go to grab a drink with friends

The best new bar in Rochester. I visited this location twice in one week thanks to the great reviews. This hidden gem is actually very well branded and easy to find off Fourth Street. You will likely see the barber chairs through the window before you'll see the bar. The cool lower level shop is refreshing on a hot summer day. The first time I went was late on a weeknight and the second was on a weekend. Never packed though that may soon end as more people discover this sweet spot. The bar is modern and minimalist. My favorite thing about Baus are the well crafted cocktails from one particular bartender, Danny. He is friendly and welcoming while I can't say the same for all of the staff. He makes killer drinks and actually listens to his customers cocktail preferences. You can tell he has fun with the cocktail creations. The drinks are expensive and made with love (to the tune of $15 per drink). We were told there is daily happy hour though from 10-6 and drinks are $11 then. The bar is well curated and has a nice variety of spirits to appease even the toughest cocktail critics. Can't wait to go back!

I really love this spot! Drinks are delicious, love that they serve coffee during the day as well as cocktails! Their "pop off" cocktail is my favorite and such a fun drink. Also really like their espresso martini. A very cool addition to Main Street in downtown Rochester!

What a funky idea! My girls and I stopped in last winter time for their Christmas cocktails - they had been trending on TikTok so we had to give it a try. The bar is in a hair studio - which I think is an amazing idea for using the space and giving their clients a unique experience. The Christmas cocktails were beautiful. I got a boozy Nutella hot chocolate cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. I think it was so smart to create Christmas cocktails, especially in the Rochester area with the beautiful Christmas lights. Additionally, I had a group of about nine girls with me that night, and they were able to accommodate us as walk ins. I would have to say that the area is small and pretty dark/loud, so it might be suited for smaller groups if you do want to speak with your friends!

Love this place! Music is great and drinks are amazing! Service is good too even on busy nights.

We had a blast at Baus! Shoutout to Ashley and Cassandra--they're the real MVPs. Super cool, mega helpful, they can randomly pick amazing cocktails and because of that they made made my visit top-notch. Seriously, five stars for these awesome folks!

This cocktail bar is small, low ceiling with low lighting, and simple decor. Their menu is a small book of interesting, and priced as such, cocktails. Each has a fun name. They do offer a small list of beer and wine, and obviously you can order a standard drink as well. They have a few snack offerings, but there is no full menu. A friend and I went at the right time, the late end of happy hour on a Friday, but before any crowd. We did not have a reservation, but they were quiet when we arrived and we were seated immediately. They do have a 90 minute table limit for busy nights. The service was fantastic all around. We both enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere. This may be the best place in Rochester for a drink.

No real food offerings but that's not what this place is about. It's about weird or rather eclectic mixed cocktails for $18 a pop. They do offer a charcuterie board, cheese board and some limited foodstuffs. If you won't get a sandwich or a meal here. This is a cocktail bar. I tried the sleepy hollow which is a modified old fashioned with a "butter washed" bourbon and a torched marshmallow on a stick just sitting on the rim. Wasn't sure what to do with the mallow. Ended up dipping and eating it. The drink however I sent back. It was sooo sweet; tasted like syrup. They did replace it with a standard old fashioned which was fine. They do give you your bill in a book. Like an actual book to read, which is a "novel" idea. (Sorry couldn't help myself). Bartenders are engaging and aim to please as well. The worst parts; limited seating, overly dark, expensive, too many cocktail bars in the area that are pretty much the same, and no real personality that sets it apart from the others in this town.

We had a nice table which started quiet and proceeded to get louder and more vibrant as the night went on. Service was fine and fast throughout. She had the Smoky Maintain which was strong enough for her to ask for an extra splash of pineapple juice. I had an Amaretto Sour which was nicely presented and tested good enough. It wasn't as strong as hers though. She ordered their Salmon Bowl which had both teriyaki and boom boom sauce; tasted good and was an ample size. My steak and frites came. The steak itself needed a little more seasoning and could have been larger but the truffle fries were top shelf. The chimichuri sauce was good too. The key lime pie for dessert presented well, but it packed the tartness one wants. There was too much whipped cream and not enough lime. That was the only real disappointment. Everything else was pretty great. A 4.6 rounds to 5.

I know it's not his fault but it seemed very discriminatory to not allow him to have the dinner. We could sample whiffs of the tempting fusion cuisine upon entry of this chique and artistic interior. We were greeted by Deanne who sat us at a center section near the brightly lit bar. We admired the open air and warm layout that captivated the artistic details preoccupying our views and helped facilitate the time between our courses. Wasn't long before our server Chad appeared and ran through the popular and seasonal specials and offered suggestions given our first indulgence here. For appetizers we ordered the white mushroom flatbread and bang bang shrimp - both were excellent! Our main course included an order of the braised short rib and a plate of grilled ribeye. Although the portions seemed smaller than expected, they were both DELICIOUS and left us room for the suggested dessert. Can't remember the dessert name but i'd describe as a freshly baked muffin with sour apple frosted drizzle that was infused with wintery warm flavors - again, a delicious finish even though we shared. It was evident that the personal touches set this place apart from the other corporate eateries nearby. We also determined through chatting with the staff that this eatery is a locally founded Michigan business started by Michigan born entrepreneurs. Thanks to Deanne, Chad, Evan and Chef Michael - we were really delighted to find this place nearby. Was worth the try and struck high marks in all the appetizer, meal and dessert categories, which rarely ever happens for us. We'll be back to sample the other items on your menu and will spread the word about this hideaway that'll save you a downtown trek to the D for an impressive caliber meal.

I had seen the Royal Park Hotel before but never been in - the lobby is gorgeous as well, and a front desk staffer directed me to the conservatory, which is directly behind it. I've also heard they have a nice restaurant on site, so I'm hoping to come back and experience that, at some point. All of the catered food at the conservatory was tasty, as well - we had appetizers, salad, and I had an herb chicken dish, I believe. Waitstaff was very courteous and when I went up to the bar to get a Diet Coke, they asked how everything was tasting, etc., even though I wasn't the hostess of the party; nice customer service. My engaged friend said that they originally looked at Royal Park as a wedding venue, but unfortunately the conservatory wasn't large enough for their number of guests - I'm glad they had their engagement dinner there, so I got to experience it. There were about 30 guests there last night but the space looked like it could fit more, I would guess 40-50 total, easily, and possibly even more. Based on this experience, I'd love to come back to the hotel either to dine or to stay overnight.
