Before and After with synthetic turf. Thanks John!
    Charlene S.

John and his team did an awesome job! My front lawn went from the worst in the neighborhood to the greenest! Best of all its synthetic so no more watering or mowing the yard! John had replaced the turf in my backyard 2 years ago and it still looks awesome even with two big dogs running around on it everyday! I highly recommend John for landscaping! Great prices and quality work! See the before and after picture posted...

Awesome company to work with. Showed up when promised & cleaned up after themselves! They were so kind to my dogs too. Their work is amazing, zero complaints. Everything was completed on time & looks amazing. Pricing was competitive & definitely got my money's worth! Definitely recommend!

Front yard comparison - front angle

John and his crew put together an amazing makeover for our yard. This was a huge project for us, and this team provided more than we thought we could afford while still remaining very close to our original budget. We could not be happier with our end product or the work it took to get there. Work done: Full Backyard Remodel - Low voltage pathway/spotlights on timer - Post lighting on dimmer - Tree string lights on dimmer - Gas Firepit - Seating wall - Retaining wall extension - Proper yard grading - Artificial Turf - Decomposed Granite - Paver patio and walkway replacement - Drainage - Drip system - Rear property horizontal fence - Side property horizontal fence/gate/arbor - RV entrance gate - Drought tolerant planting - Concrete repair - Debris removal Front yard remodel - Low voltage driveway/spotlights on timer - Replaced front post light - Drainage - Drought tolerant planting - Front entry planting area redesign - Plant removal Quote Process: While quite a few of the other contractors I got quotes from either took forever or didn't provide what we asked for, John came out and did a detailed walk-through, then provided a timely quote. He was very prompt in reviewing the changes we wanted to make and worked within our budget to achieve the best results. Once we confirmed the work we wanted done, John and his team began work on the project very quickly. Daily Work: John's team, led by Armando and Felipe, could not have made a better impression on my family. They were all very polite and approachable, and were great at helping us with any changes we needed to make on the fly. The crew was on-site daily starting at 7:30a till around 3:30-4p, and were always hard at work on one part of the project or another. John was always available via phone, text, or email to answer any questions, concerns, or changes we wanted to make. End Product: The whole project, even for as large as it was, took about six weeks total. Actual work time was probably slightly less than this due to several intersecting holidays, but we were very impressed at how efficient the crew was at completing the project on time. We don't even recognize our former yard, and the new look is absolutely stunning. Everyone we've shown loves the yard, and we've already recommended John and his team to several people. If you're considering any work to be done on your property, definitely give John and his team a chance to show you what they can do. Very impressive results!

DO NOT USE Chris Bargain Lawn Care! During the week of 7/7, he mismanaged all aspects of our…read morelandscaping project, leading us to lose over $5,000 due to improper application of synthetic turf, failure to remove old turf and decomposed granite from our yard, putting a nail through our sprinkler line, and placing sticky sand all over our pavers requiring additional cleanup. Chris was informed about the removal of turf, roots, and DG four days prior to completion, but did not respond. I had over 100 text and phone calls with his subcontractor - Boots Construction, who was rarely present and did not address the issues. One time, he left to give a quote for another job instead of staying at our house. Chris guaranteed Boots would always be on site. I spent over 25 hours supervising and fixing problems with the entire project. Chris assured me of Boots' expertise, which proved false. Despite receiving payments, Boots has not paid his crew. Chris was sent numerous pictures and text, but did not resolve any of these problems. In fact, he stated he would be unable to provide any assistance or reimbursement of any kind.... Not even a penny. * Paver problems: Boots didn't take the right samples or measurements, so the pavers were mismatched and cut poorly. The sand was applied badly, and they didn't install root barriers as promised. * Fire pit and walkway issues: The fire pit area was uneven and needed to be redone. * Mulch mess: The crew piled mulch against the plants, even though they were told not to. We had to redo all the mulch installations around 150 plants. * Crew's behavior: The crew left trash all over our yard, including pizza boxes and water bottles we purchased for lunch. Chris stated on the 6th day our yard would be left in a pristine state and the opposite happened. They even left loose razor blades that were a hazard to our dogs! * Turf troubles: Turf and DG were removed with no disposal plan, leaving our gate unusable and driveway blocked until we paid 1-800-Got-Junk for removal. Chris did not respond when contacted. The turf showed visible nail spots, uneven seams, improper cuts, and house flashing and two sprinkler lines were damaged requiring another contractor for repairs. Boots used only a third of the specified infill amount. * Root removal problems: The roots weren't removed to the agreed depth, which could cause future issues. We had to buy materials to finish the root barrier installation. * Contract and payment concerns: Chris required a 25% upfront payment on 7/2, exceeding California's legal 10% downpayment limit, citing the need for pre-July 4th material purchases. However, receipts show no materials were bought until 7/11. Chris mismanaged the job and failed to respond to calls on Thursday and Friday. Despite our contract with him, he took no direct responsibility and communicated only about payments from Monday to Saturday. The subcontractor did not handle the turf professionally, contrary to Chris's assurances. Both Chris and Boots Construction are not licensed contractors according to the California State License Board. I would give a negative star rating if possible.

It wasn't a complex job, but the the site was a giant mess, with a lot of overgrowth and debris. Michael's bid was well within my budget, and he was able to schedule the job for a time that was convenient for me. He also offered clear explanations about why the work would best be done a certain way. When it came to the work itself, his crew was outstanding. They arrived on time, kept on schedule, and cleaned up the site at the end of every work day. I have never seen such an organized, well managed job site. They were truly exemplary in all respects, but especially in regards to the quality of their work. When it comes time to replace my fence, my patio cover, or my driveway, I will definitely call Michael.

We had an excellent experience with Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance from beginning to end…read more Michael arrived on time for our initial appointment, and his estimate was the most competitive we received without cutting any corners. In fact, his proposal included everything needed to properly prepare and establish a healthy lawn, while other estimates we received were significantly more expensive and included less. Michael recommended St. Augustine grass because we have a large dog, and within a week, his team was ready to start the project. He explained the entire process ahead of time and gave me detailed guidance about the watering schedule, mowing schedule, and recommended equipment for maintaining the new lawn. The crew was amazing--efficient, professional, polite, and extremely hardworking. Carlos, the crew lead, was especially impressive. He is calm, knowledgeable, and very detail-oriented. He listened carefully to every concern I had and made sure everything was addressed properly. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and they even installed a fence that we provided to protect the new lawn from foot traffic and our dog while it gets established. The finished lawn looks absolutely beautiful. The new sprinkler system is quiet, efficient, and works perfectly. They used new, quality materials and clearly did not cut corners anywhere in the project. After comparing several companies and estimates, I am very happy that we chose Pacific Landscaping and Maintenance. We received a better, more complete project at a very competitive price. Michael, Carlos, and the entire crew exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them!
