She sat down with us, showed us a ton of pictures of plants so we could say: love, hate, indifferent. And she really got to understand our taste. The project is now finished (just in time for San Diego to shut down) and we are getting constant compliments from our neighbors. It's just so beautiful and more environmentally friendly. We explained our vision, and Andrew made great suggestions to maximize our budget. Throughout the project they were very responsive and answered my 1000x questions. Andrew truly cares about his customers and wants to put his best foot forward. We hired them to do a complete renovation of our backyard. This is our vacation home and we stressed to them how we wanted the work to be done while we were away so that we could enjoy our vacation home the limited time we have. And what did they do? The exact opposite. No work would be done for weeks at a time - as reported to us by our neighbors - and then when they knew we would be at the home, they would show up and do work. This situation repeated itself for 2 years. 2 YEARS. We also ended up having a problem with the city of Encinitas as we were told by the company that they took care of all the permits necessary. They didn't and then we had the city Planning Dept involved in every step of the project. So much time and money wasted. And the stress involved was over the top. Disgusted with Gabriel and how we were treated. This was a $150,000 project.

All of the plants that they chose for our yard are so beautiful and unique. Everyone that comes by wants to know what each plant is called because they aren't the very common yard plants that everyone has...they are so interesting! They chose the foliage specifically for what they knew would grow well in our area and with the sunlight for each side of the house. Thoughtfulness went into every aspect of each item they added...from the plants, to the wood and stone for the built in bbq, the special market lights (that are really unique and fun), all the way to the treated concrete. Over the weeks we got to know the workers, and it was a sad day when it finished and we knew they would not be showing up again every morning.
