She didn't take a particularly close look at my skin, but did listen attentively to my concerns. Months later I developed a horrendous, painful, swollen rash all over my face. It lasted for weeks. It woke me up at night and caused distraction all day. I had a call with Dr. Takahashi's triage team and they deemed my situation "not urgent." They offered me an appointment OVER THREE MONTHS OUT. Dr. Takahashi and her practice are unable to give meaningful care to the people who need it. I can't believe it is right or ethical to ask someone to live with the kind of pain I was experiencing for months before seeing me. Fortunately I was able to see my boss's dermatologist in Beverly Hills and he had the rash cleared up within two weeks.

I called to make an appointment for my daughter in July 2022 (when she was 4 months old). The earliest appointment they had for new patients was for December 30th (5 months later). I understand peds dermatology is a very sub speciality and it takes a long time to get into offices. Fine, I took the appointment. Fast forward to Dec 28, I haven't heard from them regarding confirming anything so I called to make sure we were still on their calendar. The lady on the phone informs me our appointment has been canceled! No phone calls, no follow up, just canceled. After being very annoyed, I asked to reschedule. Apparently the earliest available was June 2023. That is ridiculous! So I ask to speak to a manager and of course manager is busy, and says she will pass on my message. I call again after the new years because no one has returned my call. I had to explain everything all over again to a new person. 2 days later, I receive a phone call from the doctor's nurse asking to clarify the situation. It's January 10, 2023 and I receive a phone call from the manager saying someone else from scheduling will call me to schedule a new appointment as soon as possible. What is going on in this office?? I am beyond angry and frustrated at the level of negligence in scheduling and managing an office. I'm being told to wait ONE YEAR for a basic dermatology appointment?? Who in their right minds thinks this is ok? There is zero care from this office to rectify this situation. And if this is how the office staff treats their patients, I don't need my daughter going to this clinic. There are plenty of great doctors in the area with better office staff.

However just yesterday I got a bill of $800 listing all of the backlog of charges over the past 2 years. There wasn't any transparency that eg a nurse call to get a sick note would lead to a $225 charge. But what made me most upset is that for every physical, they've been billing me $180 just to go over the blood test when it's done. I've never had this NOT included as part of my free physical anywhere else, unless I'll expect a bill from previous providers similarly years after the fact. And when I tried getting some clarity about this with the billing department, I kept getting cut off and it seemed clear she was trying to rush me off the phone. Very disappointed
