Don't bother unless you have all day, the doctor consistently runs 1-2 hours late and they seem to think that's okay and that not informing the patient is okay. Dr. Hudson was about an hour and a half late and I had to leave because I had another appointment scheduled, they charged me for the nurse taking my vitals even though when she came in she didn't bother to inform me that he was running late either. I was referred to Dr. Hudson and hoped that he could help solve some things that I've been dealing with but I work a full-time job and I don't have time to sit around and wait for him for hours, especially when the office staff does not bother to inform patients about the regular wait times. read more

I really wanted to like this place. And hind sight, should have read the reviews before making my appointment. My mother referred me here. The receptionist is very sweet and kind. That's about as far as it goes. There is zero attention to care and detail here. I called several times to speak with the PA who prescribed me medication with questions. I was flat out told the PA would never return my call and was referred to someone who didnt know who I was nor my situation to answer my questions. If you are self pay, dont go here bc they only use Quest. They also told me I couldn't get bloodwork done anywhere BUT quest bc they didnt know how to read any blood work results from anywhere else. I do not feel this is a legitimate medical practice. Was extremely discouraged. It has been months and I have been prescribed something that I'm not even sure I should be taking PLEASE take your business to a place that offers more of a personal touch with their patients, cares a bit more, doesnt run you through the assembly line like you're just another number. They do zero in house. You will be referred out for any labs, bloodwork etc. I should have known this wasnt the place for me when I was patiently waiting in the lobby and a man came in yelling and screaming that they messed up a critical prescription he was on. My family and I have been honored to be patients of Dr. Hudson for decades. Every appointment has been thorough and very professional. Dr. Hudson is very knowledgeable, thoughtful diagnostician who spends the time to prepare thorough treatment plans. Dr. Hudson postponed an important trip to be sure my husband was properly treated when emergency hospitalization was required. He does not hesitate to enlist the assistance of specialists and knows many top docs in Winter Park/Orlando. Staff are gracious and low key. The Office Manager, Pam, has extensive medical and business knowledge. Her calm dedication and sensitivity with patients is key to staff and patient morale. read more

First things first, and this is the most important. ASK, and I stress that you ask for Dr. Hudson. I went to this clinic for an issue and they could fit me in right away. I had read on other sites about how good the doctor was. When I arrived they did the normal screening tests which were fine, the nurses are ok, though could seem a little happier. Then when I thought the doctor was going to come in I saw the physicians assistant. She seemed clueless. Repeating questions I clearly stated many times and seeming to not quite listen to me. At the end of the appointment she had no answer for me, which is ok because it could have been various problems. But she offered no insight into what she thought or what it might be. Even my aunt (who is a nurse) and physical therapist had ideas. So after bloodtest and and a X-ray later I still had to go back. I went back to get the test results read and she didn't know my symptoms (read the chart before you come in). Her first question was "remind me why you're here". Long story short she still never diagnosed me and I had to pay for another visit. She has to be the worst doctor/physician assistant ever. When I called after my first visit and told them I wanted to see Dr. Hudson they said it would be the end of the month. Well i'll be better or dead by then. Overall I feel as if i wasted two visits. The only good part about this place is they fit me in day of. But please please be warned if you go to make sure and schedule Dr. Hudson, who has very good reviews. read more

The office staff is FUCKING TERRIBLE and the doctor is NEVER HERE. God forbid you actually need a prescription. Brittany Rivkin is WONDERFUL if I were just rating her it would easily be 5 stars but unfortunately you have to get through the bitchy office staff who gaslight you when you're a little upset for having to wait an extra 40 minutes to come back from lunch so you can get your prescription refills even though that was the WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. Very thorough consultations, and he explains all that is happening. And to my delight, I get a print out of what was discussed and the plan of treatment! Just called to schedule a physical and discuss a recent blood test that came back with a positive for one of the markers that stemmed from inflammation in my foot. the first thing the scheduler said "I'm sorry Dr Hudson isn't taking any new patients for something chronic" - seriously that is a direct quote - shame on them I'm am an otherwise very healthy 49 year old who is just trying to figure out what is wrong with my foot and to find new GP. I am appalled. Guess you have to be perfectly healthy to go to Dr Hudson. Not sure how the scheduler after an exchange that was under 1:30 secs could deduce that I have something chronic when the dr who referred me to him wasn't even sure what was wrong and I don't even have a diagnosis. Well done "modern medicine" looks like I'll trust my instincts and head down the functional medicine path. read more

The office staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and Dr. Gelder is especially thorough and knowledgeable. My standards for a doctor's office (I feel) are very high, and Dr. Hudson's office exceeded my expectations. If you are looking to get established with a family practice in the Winter Park area I would definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

This guy is a real Quack. My Insurance was with Humana.Hudson was listed as taking Humana. I made an appointment and came to the front desk. They wanted over $ 100. over wha my Humana co-pay was. He prescribed a bunch of medicine that could only be purchased from him or a Health Food store. He also orderd blood tests for me at Quest. I got the blood tests and they turned out to be for all kinds of bizare things. I did buy one of the medicince that he prescribed from his front desk for $ 25. and it smelled so bad I had to throw it out. I tryed to make another appointment but was informed he no longer took Humana. Humana never paid Quest and $161. has been on my credit report for 7 years I just found out. How does a guy like that stay in business. read more

I like Dr. Hudson but the office makes mistakes and even though they have a refill phone option, I've had to make numerous calls to get my regular refils. Often I've had to miss doses because this process takes so long and because you leave a request doesn't mean they remember to do it. They are nice but not effecient nor professional. I was also billed for visits that were not as lengthy as they say. Perhaps they include time to write scrips or plans. read more

I absolutely love this doctors office I love the doctors and I love the nurses everybody normally is very kind and understanding, however my experience today was a little bit different. My doctor had a great attitude the nurse had a great attitude they both were very kind but when I went to check out the person handing me my prescriptions and making my appointment was so rude so short and made me feel like I was posing an imposition on her. I asked a couple questions in reference to my prescriptions And papers that I was handed because I didn't understand them and all I got back was an attitude and short answers.No smile on her face just a blank stare. I really hope that she was just having a bad day because I do love this doctors office and everything in there about! read more

My husband and I were patients for Dr Hudson for almost two years and he helped us know what our health issues were. My husband has been very ill and could go septic and die. We were starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. We moved to another city, and taking 4 north could take 1 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic. I had not slept in 3 days and had an appointment, and left 2.5 hours ahead of the time. There were 2 or 3 accidents on the way up, I called and explained the GPS was saying I would 9:15, and I my apt was at 9:00, I was told it was OK, there was a 15 minute grace period. I got there at 9:18 and they refused to let me see the Dr. I said I called and was told to come. Manager told me "no one told you that!" I left crying, sitting in the street, called my husband and explained what happened. He called in and cursed about the situation to the receptionist and said he needed to speak to the manager immediately, 5 hours later she called, and he hung up on her 3 times. A month later we get a letter stating the Dr would no longer see my husband. No referrals, no direction, "call your Insurance company" It took us 3 months to find a Dr. and though I was still a patient, they stopped calling in refills for my prescriptions, or would claim it was sent and the pharmacy never got them, over and over. We were glad to be out of there after all that! read more
